Just had a great stay at this charming & welcoming hotel. 1st time in the area. Called ahead the day before to arrange an early check in as I was attending a funeral at the scheduled check in time. Parking was on site - and check in was easy & quick. Room was spacious, clean and lovely en-suite. Tea/coffee & biscuits provided, plus bottled water & snacks. TV & WiFi easy to access. Bed was large & very comfy. Quiet area - with easy access to seafront, and local town. Bar was well stocked & enjoyed a drink with the host on my return. Would highly recommend & use again next time I’m in the area.

We did not go down for breakfast on the first morning as we were too tired. The staff brought us up a bacon sandwich to our room. Super appreciated and i have never experienced that before. The host assisted us with our suitcases too. Very friendly host.

The greeting from Andrew on arrival set the scene. He and all members of the team could not of done more to make our stay one to remember. The room was very good, having a balcony and a door to open allowing access was a bonus especially when able to enjoy the excellent weather when there. The breakfast was excellent, a reflection of the team's response to it's guests. Cannot give a better/higher review to Andrew and team. Thank You All.

What a delightful hotel! From the welcoming emails sent before our stay to the warm welcome on our arrival I have nothing but praise. Our room was at the very top of the hotel with a spectacular view of the bay below. There was a variety of tasty treats with the tea and coffee, the bed was very comfortable and the shower room was bright and spacious. Breakfast was delicious...cooked to order and everything personalised. Perfect poached eggs and bacon served with a smile. The decor of the whole hotel was quirky with special touches such as traditional board games and interesting ornaments. On warmer days there is a little balcony. A bar is also available. Throughout our stay in all areas there was the attention to detail which makes a stay special. The location is perfect with both the sea and town within easy reach and free parking is available in both the hotel and on the street. Would definitely return. Thank you to all the staff who really seemed to care about giving us the best time.

Hotel is located top of a slight hill but is central to access beach, town, walks. Really lovely decor with an unusual vibe if you look. Friendly owner, staff, great breakfast, filter coffee and more. Upgraded at reception to a lovely room with a lovely off section with views of beach. Mattress does need some attention as do pillows. Not top end but in our opinion definitely good. Would stay again.

Booked a sea view room but on arrival the owner gave us the option of going to another room as the original one had just had a window replaced. In fairness we were able to look at other rooms first but wouldn’t have stayed in the original one anyway as it smelled strongly of putty and was cold. However we were charged an extra £25 to move, and there was damp on two walls when the curtains were pulled back in the room we stayed in. The water pressure on the electric shower was also very low. Breakfast was nice, but not worth the £25 charge. Overall its a nice hotel and 5 minutes from the front, but overpriced for what you get.

We had a nice sized room (number11) which was let down by the bathroom. This was situated in the eaves with a sloping roof which meant that we had to be careful not to hit our heads when using the toilet. There was a weird bath configuration which meant that it was impossible to use the shower. We had a good welcome and there were extras such as a well stocked hospitality tray, including biscuits and bottles of water. The breakfasts were excellent with table service but we were offered top ups of toast and coffee. There was good communication prior to our stay. Car parking is virtually non existent if the hotel is full with space for three cars only and the surrounding roads were quite congested.

Lovely period house. The balcony room was wonderfully big and the outlook wonderful. There was a bar and breakfast was a possibility.
