The staff were great Like to thank the lady on reception for going out her way to provide hair spray she kindly purchased for me . Had upgrade which was also really good

The whole staff was incredible. Bee checked us in and was super friendly. Offered us a bigger room because of how much luggage we had with us. The second day was my birthday/anniversary and we received a lovely card from her and the staff which was very thoughtful. The room was beautiful and had plenty of room to unpack and organise things. Everything was clean and we received new clean towels when needed. The staff helped myself carry the luggage up the front stairs and to our room as my partner was finding parking. Overall we had a fantastic stay and will be recommending the York for future stays!!

Comfortable, super located and fab grub served by the top drawer staff.

Room was a good size and clean with plenty of storage space and a nice comfy bed, the location is excellent for walks on the beach, the pier and a gentle stroll into town for shopping a meal or a few drinks. The hotels food (evening meal) as excellent i had a mixed grill my partner the steak both were delicious and worth the money with large portions and excellent quality ingredients. The service was a big plus, the staff from the general manager to the waitress and bar staff were polite, friendly and helpful 10 out of 10 and well done, we will be returning very soon. Minus point was the parking none on site however the multi storey car-park next door had overnight staying on the first floor £12 for the whole stay so no problem really (if you have breakfast at the hotel they pay the parking for you).

Shower was broken tv remote didn’t work blinds on window not working. The £12:95 extra for breakfast and what you actually got for that price is a joke the fact that I was made to pay for it before I actually knew what I was getting because if I’d known I wouldn’t of bothered and gone elsewhere in fact the whole place was overpriced for what it was hugely disappointing I will not be returning.🙁

An okay hotel.

The location was great, in walking distance to everything

Check in was a little confusing. Had to ask a few people because the signs that sent you to reception , actually took you past the door you needed to go into. The blinds in the room were tatty and broke. Couldnt even pull the one blind up to let some light in. Breakfast was luke warm even though it was on a hot counter. The bar area looked quite smart and up market but the rooms need upgrading, they looked old fashioned and worn.

this has the potential to be a nice hotel , evening food is good .

everything was clean and the bar area was nice with good acts. evening meal good

we paid £28.00 for breakfast and had obviously gone in after a turkey and Tinsel trip so there was nothing much left and what was there was cold. I had to ask twice for a small pot of tea and it seemed alot of trouble , I even had to go and knock the kitchen door. we are in our late 70's and were put in top floor room that was very small.

First Time Visit - Will be returning again

Perfect location on the Seafront: Winter Gardens, Shopping Centre & Grand Pier are all within walking distance (Couple of minutes). Hotel & rooms were clean. Staff were always attentive and looked after you. Enjoyed the banter with the bar staff and made the stay more enjoyable.

Cheap hotel, but you get what you pay for.

The location was great, right on the front. Bed was very comfortable.

Toilet was overflowing, mould in the shower. Electric shower was cold irrespective of what number heat it was on. One of the blinds didn't work. Heating not always on. Key entry to room. Had to find someone to check in as reception was closed.

The staff were really good. We were welcomed by Deon, for such a young man he had exceptional service skills. Tia was very friendly and so mature. She took time out to make us welcome. Overall great team.

My room was really warm and they didn’t have a fan. Also, the message hadn’t got through about us all sitting together for breakfast so I moved the tables around myself. Lastly, there isn’t parking so this adds to cost and inconvenience.
