Everything is great

The breakfast was fantastic: freshly squeezed juice and bread baked by the landlord himself. The night before, I even saw the landlord and his wife kneading dough, and the landlord said he was a baker.

Lovely place to stay when visiting Ghent

Marc and Katty were very warm and hospitable throughout our stay. Their rooms are on one side of a beautifully appointed house. We stayed in the family room with our two young children. The beds were very comfortable and our hosts had left some small things like teas and coffee to make our stay relaxed. We also had access to the hot tub in the garden which was a treat! Marc was on hand to give us excellent advice about the local area and the best way to visit nearby Ghent. We wouldn't just recommend, we are going to come back!

A great stay – would recommend

The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The room was very clean, and we especially enjoyed the rich and tasty breakfast (available for an extra fee). One of the highlights was definitely the outdoor hot tub – perfect for relaxing after a long day. The hosts kindly let guests use it. There's also free parking and access to Netflix, which was a nice bonus.

The room is in the attic with sloping ceilings, so it might feel a bit cramped for taller guests. Also, the sink for washing hands and face is located in the room itself rather than the bathroom, which felt a bit unusual and less private.

Like a visit to family.

Very welcoming host. He could not have been more helpful. Loved the hot tub. Just what the doctor orders at this point in our holiday. We used the stop as a launch for our visit to Ghent. It worked well for that. The host and hot tub would see me stay again if life beings me this way. Room and en-suite was upstairs. Good tea and coffee facilities even a pack of M&Ms to welcome us. Typical good BnB. We did not take up the breakfast offer. Sounded good but not in our plan.

We are traveling with our adult daughter and the third bed was fine but not great. With the festival on in Ghent accomodation about was a bit pricey as was this place.

Very lovely stay, I am sure I would repeat if there would be an opportunity.

It is very beautiful house, calm area and very nice people. The hospitality was enourmous. The jukuzi outside was just what we needed. All around the house was clean and in nice condition. Breakfast we loved.

There is nothing what I would call I did not like, this is just about subjective preference. The apartments are built under the roof, so the air conditioner is must, which was there. If you don’t like it, there might be hot.

This lovely place is a little oasis of relaxation, thanks to the kind hosts.

Beautiful cottage tucked away behind a residential street surrounded by a lovely garden. The hosts Marc & Katty were so lovely & we felt at home. Marc was so kind & couldn't have been a more welcoming host. We had a late arrival but had time for a jacuzzi before bed. My son said he had the best sleep in memory & we left very relaxed with Marc's homebaked warm bread & croissants. We couldn't stay for breakfast but I can almost guarantee the breakfast made by a retired baker would be delicious! Due to our circumstances we couldn't go to Ghent so we will be back!

A better host you could not find. Superb spot and enjoyable stay.

Marc was a superb host! Helpful, accommodating, interested and went the extra mile to make recommendations and share the best of what he knows of Ghent. Breakfast was worthwhile having in their lovely home. The hot tub was a great bonus after a day sightseeing. Drive 5 minutes to Brielken car park (free) to catch the tram all the way in. For us, a great location and would happily return. With 2 almost teens the 4 bed room was just the right size.

The host is very very nice and welcoming. The rooms itself is big, with en-suite bathroom, clean, with all the necessary.

Exceptional

The stay was very enjoyable and would've loved to have stayed an extra day. The room was very comfortable where the sofas could be made into a sofa bed. The breakfast was very tasty, fresh and filling. The hosts had driven us the first night to get some food and then the morning we left were dropped off at the train station which we couldn't be more thankful. I really recommend staying here.

All I would have liked is some privacy in the bathroom as times either me or my roommate would need to leave the room when needed to do business 😂

Wonderful farmhouse under great host's care

Katty & Marc's house is so cozy, both of them are very lovely and friendly, my family really enjoyed talking to them. The house is perfectly furnished to accommodate most of our needs. These made our stay so leisure just like home...

It would be perfect if the bathroom area was not that open.

Chambre familiale très propre et accueil parfait !

Accueil très chaleureux de Marc. La chambre est encore mieux que sur les photos. C'est très propre et il y a tout le nécessaire. Même de quoi se faire un café ou un thé, de l'eau. Le Jacuzzi est très sympa même par temps frais ! La chambre est à 25min de Gand. Nous y avons séjourné à 4, en famille. Nous recommandons !

Host tra i migliori che si possa incontrare, gentilissimo e disponibile, le indicazioni che ci ha dato sono state preziose per proseguire il nostro viaggio. Molto gradita la Jacuzzi nel giardino. Een heel fijn verblijf voor een paar dagen

De vriendelijke gastheer Marc gaf direct een goed gevoel over het verblijf. Hoewel de locatie nabij een drukke weg ligt heb je direct een ontspannen gevoel door het rust en uitstraling van de casa en de mooie groene tuin. De jacuzzi biedt een luxe en ontspanning waar wij naar zochten als gezin met twee tieners. Badjas, badslien handdoek worden geboden door de Casa. Daarbij lijkt het ontbijt misschien iets prijzig (deze zit niet bij het verblijf in en is apart te reserveren bij Marc). De luxe en kwaliteit van het ontbijt staat zeker in verhouding en is het waard. Een drankje kan uit de koelkast gehaald worden en wordt bij vertrek verrekend. Koffie en thee zijn bij de reservering in begrepen. Wij waren met vier op de (zolder) kamer. Dit was wat krapjes bij de wastafel, maar goed te doen. De bedden zijn heel comfortabel. Het was fijn dat de airconditioning aan kon met de hoge temperaturen die er tijdens ons verblijf waren. De twee zitjes gaven ruimte voor een ontspannen maal of een fijn buitenzijn. Daarbij geeft Marc goede adviezen over mogelijkheden in de omgeving en hoe daar te komen. Zo goed als alles lijkt te kloppen.

Eigenlijk viel niets tegen. Als we zoeken zouden het de geluiden vd weg die in de ochtend te horen zijn kunnen zijn.

Zeer fijn adres vlak bij Gent. In een dorp maar met restaurant en supermarkt vlakbij. Mooie kamer, alles keurig netjes verzorgd. Buiten verschillende zitjes en een hottub. Ook lagen er badjassen en badslippers klaar. Het ontbijt was heerlijk, lekkere verse broodjes, eigen gemaakte yoghurt en heerlijk vers fruit erbij. Het ontbijt kregen wij met het mooie weer in de nieuwe overdekte buitenruimte waar je 's avonds ook kan gaan zitten. Ook was er een ontbijtruimte binnen. Door de gastheer en gastvrouw werden we hartelijk ontvangen en hebben ons voorzien van verschillende tips over onze verdere reis. Kortom een zeer goed adres.

De gastvrijheid was prima, hele vriendelijke mensen en prima accommodatie waar alle aandacht uitgaat naar de gast. Je komt hier prima tot rust (zen). Ontbijt was met liefde bereid. Helemaal top! Een locatie om fier op te zijn.

Probabilmente il miglior Host che abbia mai conosciuto.Mark ci ha serviti e riveriti. Ogni giorno rifaceva i letti e rimpiazzava acqua dolciumi caffe the, tutto quello che consumavamo. Meglio di un hotel! Casa bellissima. I bambini ogni giorno sono entrati almeno 2 volte nella vasca idromassaggio riscaldata esterna. Si sono divertiti tantissimo..e anche noi. Stanza sottotetto ben tenuta. Non c'e a disposizione una cucina per cucinare ma viene offerto un patio bellissimo con tavola enorme dove mangiare sia colazione che pranzo che cena. Mark ha pensato davvero a tutti. Ci ha persino sempre pulito piatti e bicchieri che usavamo. Non ho davvero parole. ACCOGLIENZA unica. Mark sempre a disposizione TOP!! CONSIGLIO A TUTTI. Posizione strategica tra bruges, Gand, Bruxelle
