The location is amazing, in a quiet green area with a pond and geese that add to the atmosphere. Lovely hosts and the rooms are comfortably sized.
Though overall still comfortable the state of the finishings could be better to enhance the overall experience and quality of the accommodation. However, the price to quality here is unbeatable!

What an amazing place oozing history. It was like staying in a chateau. We had a problem with our van and Bart tried his best to find a garage but as it was a national holiday nothing was open. The bed was very comfy and the breakfast was comprehensive with top quality foods. We would give it 11 if we could.
If you want the ultimate chateau experience at a reasonable price then this is most definitely for you.
Thank you so much Bart for being such a great host.

We couldn't have found a better place! It's like living in a fairy tale... time seems to have stopped. You can enjoy nature, listen to the birds singing in the morning, and admire the beautiful geese that surround their huge garden with a pond and a bridge—just like a Monet painting.
The owners Bart and his wife Elke were fantastic. We asked for a late check-in, and upon arrival, the owner gave us all the instructions over the phone.
The breakfast is superb—highly recommended. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and filled with board games and books for our children. They got up early in the morning to play, letting us sleep in!
The bathroom is huge, with a beautiful tub and plenty of towels for everyone.
Outside in the garden my kids were jumping on a big trampoline and playing soccer!
Very convenient is the fact that the village Evergem is just over 40 minutes from Ghent, we opted for the P+R, Parking for free in the next village (4 minutes by car) and took the tram (3 Euro) in 20 minutes you are right in the heart of Ghent... so you have the opportunity to see the surrounding areas too.
Evergem has also a good choice of restaurants, we opted for an italian one and was superbe!
We will definitely return. Such a beautiful memory!

Amazing place in the nature but very well connected to the city centre of Gent. Peaceful and relaxing, recommended!

So near to Gent and still the feeling of being in nature.
In the neighbourhood (Spoorwegstraat) a stop of line 1, a tram towards the city centre.
Easy, fast, reliable.
The electronic key was hard to use. I couldn't.t find a restart button, so had to wait after every mistake till the system itself restarted.
I missed a table to work at. Back home I learned that the little machine on the side-table was a mosquito-killer. So advanced that I didn't know how to get it work.

Lovely hotel. Easy access to Ghent - close to tram.

The house has got character. It is an old property and we had the appartment. The hosts were lovely and the area was beautiful. The hosts were the best part of the stay but its a shame they are moving on. Hopefully the new owners will be just as good.
There were too many mosquitoes and make our stay uncomfortable. The owners did help by providing mosquito repellants but as there was no air conditioning, it was a choice between keeping windows closed or bearing the bites. There are no hot water facilities in the room and no lifts to the 2nd floor so not fit for everyone.

A place with lots of ambience. A funny old house where the cat greets you in the house and the ducks gaggle about in the garden. We enjoyed our stay and our friendly landlord promoting his own beer.
We ended up in one of the attic rooms (if you don't like stairs ask for rooms on the first floor) where the bathroom would benefit for some love and care - and privacy - there is no door as bed, bath and toilet is in the same room.

Jan the owner was welcoming and let us put our things in the room at 12 o'oclock, well before arrival time. The tram connection (stop is five mins away) to the centre of Gent was fantastic. The great attraction for us was the 10 geese and four goslings in the lovely grounds! And a safe place to park too!
The bathroom would be better with a door, maybe a sliding one!

The fact that everything had been arranged with much taste, care and attention to detail and that the location was very charming.
I might had put more light in the bathroom/shower.

The Emeryten Hof is an absolutely brilliant hotel located in a renovated mansion with a gorgeous garden. Jan and his wife are excellent hosts, very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended: Jan's own beer, created from a 400-year old recipe of Belgian monks! Can't wait to return!

Staff was friendly, room was clean, the theme is historical, so room was accordingly furnished, but had all the necessary things like a decent bathroom, tv, etc.
Mattress was also very good.
Site is close to major roads and motorways, but not close enough to be bothered by it.
Bed was too short for a tall guy like me. Invoice wasn't issued on the company, but just had my name and city stated, which I can't use for my accountancy.
Driveway to parking had a few holes in them that my car's suspension didn't like.
Not very clear where the reception is based, so you end up walking around the whole building.

The location itself is fine. The property is nice. Well kept and nicely decorated. The room was a bit small but rather comfortable.
I found the breakfast expensive given the selection. Arrival could be improved (more outside lighting, more signs, etc.). It could use a partition between the room and the bathroom (at least in the case of the room that I was assigned).

Jederzeit wieder!
