So colourful and interesting a place. The 5 Euro breakfast is a steal deal, took it almost every day. And yes, they serve chocolates, haha. The hosts were extremely nice. My luggage was delayed, yet I found everything ready at hand: the toiletries in the bathroom, utensils and cutlery in the kitchen, etc (which is kind of community-driven and maintained by every onboader.) They've got hostel merch, and tips/suggestions to explore the city as well.

the staff were very sweet and the concept behind this hostel is amazing! I look forward to coming back and staying in one of the campers (I was in the 12 beds dorm).
they had soap and other supplies in the bathrooms! thank you for free period products :)
two sets of stairs (one up, one down from my room) to pee is rough.. the price for one night while sharing a room with 11 others is also not great.. It was the only hostel with room though so I had to.

Very eccentric. In a beautiful way. Odd and eccentric. I felt like I was in the 50s yet I was born in 82.
The huge spiders. Bigger than Irish spiders. All the windows open in winter/spring. Freaked me out.

The concept is very cool, you feel yourself in a camping, in a comfortable one. But it was winter and not far from city center. We really enjoyed to be there comparing to other standard and boring rooms and apartments. And staff is great there, we had a nice conversation in the evening in the bar.
As in camping there is no sound isolation. And there was a group arrived late at night, so we didn’t slept as well as we wanted. Also some people got up quite early. But they are providing earplugs, I am just not used to them.

Excellent stay

The staff were exceptionally kind and hospitable. My friend hurt his leg on a night out and couldn't walk. The staff booked him a doctors appointment and gave him a crutch to take home with us back to England. The caravans themselves were quirky and had character, and the hostel all in all was lovely. The breakfast was delicious, too.
Found some old meat tossed into the shelving in the cinema caravan. Understand that this was out of the hostels control, just an unpleasant surprise. Showers were a bit wonky. That's it, really.

one of the exception hostel where you feel real hostel vibe.
no charging sockets outside.

The originality of the place, very peaceful and respectful place with a wonderful breakfast!
A little far form the centre of Ghent.

The staff were kind and very welcoming. The location isn’t terrible but it’s not close enough to the city centre to walk there and back every day. I rented a Donkey bike which made the journey more manageable.
It is overpriced for the facilities. The showers were dirty; the dormitory smelled bad (I hesitate to attribute this to the other guests because there were only two other people staying in the large dorm with me); the bathroom is at the opposite side of the hostel to the dorm meaning you have to walk a relatively long way to shower or use the toilet in the night.

Very quirky hostel, with clean rooms and friendly staff. There’s lots of common areas to sit inside and outside and a bar to get drinks.
The “rooms” can be a little tight for grown adults, and the noise travels right through the RV’s so you need to be especially quiet at night if you don’t want to disturb your neighbours

I have done a fair amount of traveling and it’s always such a nice surprise to find a gem like Treck Hostel.
Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Great beer! Lots of space to relax, very peaceful surroundings and only a 10 minute walk to some of Ghents more beautiful streets.

Very cool concept and space. You can tell a lot of effort was put in to the atmosphere and vintage vibe. Big outdoor space too.
Needs a buzzer on the main sliding entry door or at least more info on arrival. It just says to call but the number isn’t on what’s app and if u don’t have phone/data you worry you can’t get in. I knocked really hard.

Was a great vibe, cool art and nice common areas. Bathrooms were a bit rough but perfectly usable. breakfast was great and the bar salami was incredibly comforting. They provided fans during the heat which was incredibly nice at night.
The two big dorms were a bit personal like a poorer version of big brother. Bed’s didn’t have much distance. Some lockers were broken, but they were big and could hold a hiking bag.

It is a very cool funky concept, and it was surprisingly comfortable. We travelled with 6 and 3 year olds, and they loved it! Staff was really nice.
Bathroom, especially showers weren’t great, the water would spray everywhere. I understand it’s a hostel, but still for the price I would expect to have towels provided.

Share space is large.
Location is not good enough, you have to take train to central area. And there are a lot of mosquitoes in the dormitory.

We absolutely loved this place, so much fun! The kids loved staying in Bikey, the bike themed van and the beds were really comfortable. Really clean showers and a delicious breakfast. The staff were so incredibly friendly and helped us with a map and directions! Opposite the river and only a 15 minute walk to the centre. Amazing value!

Travelled to Gent by bike to watch the Tour of Flanders. Absolutely loved our stay here, fantastic hospitality and value for money with a great breakfast. Staff were very accommodating and even prepared us a breakfast on our last morning as we had an early ferry to catch. Would definitely recommend staying in this brilliant hostel.

I enjoyed my stay here. I enjoyed the scene, and the music, and the staff worked hard. I especially loved the music. It was hard to leave!

This is one cool hostel! The atmosphere and decor is unlike any hostel I've had the opportunity of staying in before. I slept in the dorms which wasn't outstanding, but if you go with a partner or have the money, you should definitely stay in one of the campers! The staff was super nice, the place was pretty clean, the common areas are spacious and unique, and it's close enough to what you'd want to see. Plus there's free breakfast and an amazing kitchen! Overall I would stay here again and I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat.
It's a little far away from things, roughly 20 minute from the city center. Which isn't bad but it also means that it's another 20 minutes away from the train station. Lucky public transportation is available. The dorms are not great, not horrible, so like I said before, you may want to splurge and camp in one of the nicer options. Lastly, the bathroom was quite far away from the dorm room I had, but this was just an annoying inconvenience.

Amazing value for the price. The bed was very comfortable and close to electric sockets. Lockers are available with sockets inside, so you can leave your electronic devices safe while charging. It's a huge place with terrace, bar, a big lounge, even a cinema roulette. There lounge is very colorful with graffiti, and it provides several games (table tennis, fussball, board games etc.). The kitchen is small, but clean and has everything you need. They encourage you to eat in the lounge or terrace. There is a very nice vibe. The staff was extremely friendly. I arrived late and they didn't make an issue of it. Instead, they kept the kitchen open longer for me to eat dinner. The staff even provided a box of vegetables to eat for free. Breakfast was also very good.
I saw they also rent out bikes and canoes but I didn't use the service.
Nothing really. It's a great place

One of the best hostels I ever stayed in: beds were comfortable, room size was sufficient not to feel cramped, big lockers, the showers were clean and well equipped, nice breakfast (vegetarian&vegan friendly) included in the price, fully-equipped shared kitchen... And quiet at night! The vibe of the hostel is clearly present and the staff is helpful (they even took the time to give us a tour of the hostel at check-in). Also, the sustainable engagement goes a bit farther than just "save water/electricity" signs: compost bin & organic food at breakfast, environment-friendly soap...
Maybe a bit far from the city centre (but nothing unfeasible on foot).

Location. Personel. Price and breakfast. Relaxing ambiance and interior.
Poor ventilation in rooms. Too many beds in a room.

Rooms were clean and hostel design was very cool.
Stuff was very rude. They put hard requirements in front of us such as don't talk, don't laugh and so on after may be 10 PM. When we check out, the girl who sit in reception was very kind. But for a first day, I cannot say same thing.

Great place, friendly people, surprisingly decorated! Nice concept as indoor camping. Super fun for and easy with kids. Good bed, nice breakfast. All in all definitely a place I would recommend.
It was a bit warm at night.

Amazing place, you feel part of a large family, a community. They tried to speak Portuguese with us when we checked in and explained everything we should visit in with an amazing map made by local people of Ghent. Warm and cozy place to stay, clean and respectful. Calm and very quiet at night, we slept well. We had a small living area outside our Caravan with armchairs and a table with a bottle of water and glasses for us when we arrived.
We only use the kitchen to make some tea and sandwiches so I don't know much about it but looked okay.
Shared bathrooms a bit far but very clean and with hairdryer.
Great breakfast with vegan "milks" and gluten free bread too, delicious eggs, all in a cozy and charismatic room.
Loved the vintage fair that was happening while we were there, selling antiques and lots of things. We bought some and couldn't bring more because we had a small bag for our flight.
We definitely recommend this hostel because the atmosphere is amazing and we had a unique "camping" experience under a roof!
We went to Bruges when we checked out and the staff lady told us the best day tour in Bruges because she was from there! It was perfect and we are so thankful!
Shared bathrooms are a bit far from the Caravan (depending on the Caravan and specially, if you need to go there at night), but it's okay.
Making our own bed in a bunkbed it's was bit tricky but we could do it.
If you don't have your own towel you have to pay 2€ for one, so make sure you have one.
But none of this should keep you from staying in Treck Hostel!

but the co-ed room had terrible roommates.I didn't rest well and felt offended
