You will love this place (1-2 people). It was a wonderful four night respite for me. Hostess is super sweet!

Exceptional

Everything was great! Karina and Patrick were amazing hosts – super friendly, welcoming, and helpful with everything. The studio was really cozy and clean, with a nice outdoor space. It's in a perfect spot in the old part of town, close to all the points of interest and restaurants. The whole place smelled amazing from the handmade soaps Karina makes – it was so sweet of her to leave one for us! We highly recommend the studio. Thank you, Karina and Patrick, for the great stay!

Fabulous - highly recommended

Wonderful stay! Terrific hosts - responsive, kind and helpful. Thank you Patrick and Karien! Also liked the studio - an intelligent space with room for everything. The location is perfect too, and I really appreciated the thoughtful touches - tea coffee milk toiletries all provided - and a generous bar of that fabulous handmade soap - wow! And it was very pet friendly with the courtyard and plenty of easy dog walks, starting at the front door. Really enjoyed and appreciated the stay. By the way, the instructions to arrive by car in the pedestrian zone were very clear, and the first evening I parked at parking Tolhuis. Its under 10 minutes walk away and has an easy number-plate recognition system for payment (Euro 9.50 for overnight). The system works with foreign plates. Then for the next 4 days I used Park & Ride Bourgoyen. Safe and efficient.

Ms. Karina is a great host, very helpful, and always responsive. This is a perfect size place for a couple or one person. Kitchen had everything we needed, even a couple packets of coffee in case we forgot to bring some. It was great that a window screen was recently installed on the bathroom window to keep mosquitos out. The location is outstanding, only a few minutes walk to all the places we wanted to see. Thank you for the free bar of mini soap, which smells great (the host makes very good soap).

Everything was just fine. It's nice to be able to drive up to the rental to unload, and then go park somewhere. But, we chose to park at the Vrijdagmarkt parking garage which was only a 6 minute walk from the rental.

Heaven 11 is bliss!

Karien was a truly wonderful host. She made us feel welcome and looked after us with great care and kindness. The flat was perfect - our oasis of calm, serenity & comfort during our short visit to beautiful Ghent. Five days wasn’t nearly enough time to experience its art, culture, history and fabulous places to eat & drink. And as an unexpected bonus we were able to buy some of the beautiful soaps Karien makes to bring home as unique gifts. Our time in Heaven 11 really was bliss - thank you Karien

Lovely Retreat

Our host, Karien, is very lovely and helpful. We had car trouble during our stay and she went above and beyond to help us get that resolved. The accommodation smelled wonderfully (not too strong) as Karien makes soap by hand and sells it from this location. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the fluffy bed cover. The kitchenette and bathroom were suitable to our needs. Coffee, tea, glasses, plates, and mini-fridge were available which was very nice for a stormy evening inside. The terrace out back is private and cozy. We would love to spend more time out there on a return visit when we would hopefully get less rain.

The apartment is on the ground level of a seemingly lesser-traveled street near the old town center. Once evening approached, we heard more and more noisy people on the streets. I sleep wearing earplugs but can see how the noise could be disturbing otherwise.

Heerlijk verblijf met fantastische host!

Karien was echt fantastisch lief! Ze dacht actief mee. En kwam zelfs naar de straat lopen toen ik verwaald was, waarna ze in mijn auto naar de locatie reed. Ze hielp met meedenken wat betreft het parkeren, reed mee en liep mee terug. Echt een fantastische host! Ook hebben we gratis zelfgemaakte, natuurlijke lotion gekregen van haar en mochten we de laatste dag later, kosteloos, uitchecken. Verder was de locatie fantastisch, het was erg dichtbij het centrum en alles was maximaal 8 minuten lopen. Als laatste vond ik de accomodatie fijn, het was klein, maar precies wat je nodig hebt! (Met heerlijke bedden!)

Ik ben zelf 153cm, wat maakt dat de douche best hoog hing en deze was helaas niet te verstellen. Verder miste ik een magnetron, maar eten kan je makkelijk opwarmen via de kookplaat.

Kleines, sauberes Studio in Citynähe mit ein paar Einschränkungen

Kleines Studio in citynaher Lage, aber etwas abseits der Hauptrouten. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Eigentümerin im selben Haus. Bequemlichkeit ausreichend für ein paar Nächte und fast alles da, was man braucht. Gut erreichbar mit der Straßenbahn bei Zuganreise.

Leider gibt es nicht ausreichend Werkzeug zum selber kochen (Messer, Pfannenwender etc) und die Wasserhähne in Küche und Bad sind lose oder schlecht regulierbar. Die "ruhige Seitenstraße" aus anderen Beschreibungen fanden wir nicht bestätigt, da es mehrere Bars und Restaurants (auch direkt nebenan) gibt, die gerade an Wochenenden für viele laute Menschen auf der Straße und direkt vor dem Schlafzimmerfenster (EG!) sorgen. Oropax ist hilfreich. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis grenzwertig. Allerdings ist alles rundherum recht teuer....

Zeer centraal en rustig.

Zeer goed gelegen en rustig appartement. Goed bed, klein keukentje waar je kan ontbijten en eventueel avondeten (hoewel dan aan de krappe kant). Heel vriendelijke eigenaren.

We hadden ruzie met de wifi, deed het deel van de tijd heel goed, maar viel soms tijd weg. Eigenaren waren verrast en gaan het vast oplossen. Wij wisten het, maar houd er rekening mee dat er geen tv is.
