Excellent location. Excellent value. Responsive host.
This location was excellent. Directly across from the tunnel into the old city of Lucca on the ring road surrounding the old town wall. Parking was easy—just around the corner and Federico was very good about providing pictures to help us find our way into the apartment. The apartment was quiet and in a historical villa that has been maintained, though a bit faded, this is what makes it such a great deal. We will definitely stay here next time.
The only suggestion I have is bring a cup. Although a refrigerator was provided, there were no cups in the room.

Across street from the old city
The house was near one of the wall doors for the old city of Lucca, there were stores near by. We had A/C and TV, rooms were big and had an extra table with chairs.
Shared bathroom (only one with toilet and shower within the same door), shared kitchen, which typically it is not an issue, however, there was another person that would not allow us to use the kitchen while he was cooking/eating and we had to wait for him to finish.

A Comfy Space Handy to Old and New Lucca.
Our room was very spacious with comfy beds and a divine chandelier, plus a chest of drawers I could have taken home very happily. We were grateful that it was on the ground floor. And the shutters kept the morning light out very well. We loved how it was 10 minutes walk across the way to the old city. And it was 5 minutes walk to a great pizzeria around our corner. The kitchen was well-equipped. The hosts were really lovely and friendly.
It was pretty noisy even with the shutters/windows closed, but it is on a fairly busy road.
