Great place to stay in Lucca with super host

The location is superb. You can enjoy a nice walk across the green fields just outside the wall surrounding the historic Lucca and enter the old city. It's also literally next to Esselunga, my favourite supermarket. The host and staff are amazing. Walter and his wife greeted me with everything I needed. When I checked out, I forgot my bag of citical travel documents (passport etc) in the room, and they timely informed me so that I could go back to fetch it. It was a lifesaver! The house is beautiful from outside to inside, well maintained and decorated, and the room was clean and warm. The bathroom was not that spacious but fine for one person. Everything fit just nicely. I'd choose to stay here again the next time I come to Lucca.

Not a big problem, but the water kettle was a bit small and didn't seem to bring the water to boiling.

A fun family reunion in Lucca

Breakfast is in the room consisting of ready packed cornetti and cakes with coffee machine. Hosts leave fresh fruit and bottled water too.

No fridge and not even a comunal fridge in the hallway. Essential especially in the summer as even the fruit supplied by the hosts went mouldy. Noisy traffic. Place needs renovating.

Lucca summer

We liked everything in the apartment. It is just next to the old city walls and the old town. The room was well equipped and we had all we needed for our stay. The owner was really helpful with information what to see in Lucca and around the city, and also suggested wonderful places to eat. Well worth a visit and we will come back again!

Convenient location, but wouldn’t book again

It was very close to the old town, which was great! Also, the host was very responsive and helpful.

The room we initially stayed in was very cramped - too much furniture for the size of the room. Also, as the accommodation is right on a busy road, the traffic noise was significant. Luckily, we were able to move to a slightly less noisy room for the second night. Also, “breakfast included” is an overstatement, as it’s only a few pre-packed sweet snacks and some bananas in the room, with no actual space to sit down and eat.

Gentilezza e cortesia

Villetta vicino alle mure e ai monumenti e al centro della città, immersa nel verde affianco un supermercato. Il proprietario è una persona molto colta, ci ha illustrato la mappa della città con consigli dove andare a mangiare. In camera è presente macchinetta del caffe con tutto ciò che serve per la colazione compresa la frutta fresca e acqua !! La camera è stata pulita e messa in ordine ogni giorno. Grazie per l'accoglienza. Lo consiglio!!

Proprietarul foarte arogant a încercat să profite de o greșeală a Booking sau personală ( în loc de 2 camere duble 4 adulți, a apărut 2 camere numai 2 adulți ) iar proprietarul îmi cerea diferența exact cât am plătit pentru 2 camere. Când i-am spus ca nu este corect, diferența de preț este numai la micul dejun și taxa de oraș a spus ca nu este asa, dacă nu-mi convine pot să părăsesc proprietatea!! 😡😠😤 Am spus ca plătesc exact cât mi-a spus el dacă-mi mai dă încă două camere să stăm câte o persoană în cameră !! A zis ca nu mai sunt binevenit la el la cazare sa-mi iau familia și sa părăsesc proprietatea pentru ca el a anulat rezervarea !!! 😡😡😡 Menționez ca era o oră târzie 21.30 !! Vă sfătuiesc să evitați această proprietate ca sa v-a perceapă și d-voastră taxe suplimentare !!

Perfekt für uns!!!!

Alles war super! Gualtiero war unglaublich nett und ihm war es sehr wichtig das wir schöne Tage haben. Die Lage könnte besser nicht sein!!! Direkt an den Stadtmauern aber kein Stress mit parken. Auf dem kleinen Parkplatz hinter dem Haus stand unser Auto mit den Fahrrädern sicher. Unser Zimmer war ein wenig eng, aber wir hatten alles was wir ihr brauchten und es war sehr sauber!!!!!

Excellent séjour cchez Gualtiero !

La maison de Gualtiero (charmante et très propre) est située au bord d'une rue passante, qui fait le tour des 'spalti', cette large zone de pelouse légèrement arborée qui entoure tous les remparts de Lucca, donc on n'est pas très loin du centre à pied (du côté du Palazzo Pfanner et de la basilique San Frediano), mais grâce au double vitrage on dort très bien malgré la circulation automobile proche... Gualtiero est un hôte très prévenant et attentif, et il vous indique extensivement ce qu'il faut voir dans Lucca et à proximité... Parking dans la cour même de la maison. Un excellent séjour !

Pienamente soddisfatti del soggiorno.

La colazione in camera abbondante e variegata. E' disponibile sia la macchina per il caffè che quella per il thè. Il B&B è a pochi metri da un supermercato e nonostante sia situato fuori dalle mura di Lucca, attraverso la sortita di San Frediano si può arrivare a piedi nel centro in circa 10 minuti. Ottima accoglienza e disponibilità da parte del proprietario.

La casa è situata in un’ottima posizione appena fuori le mura di Lucca. Abbiamo avuto la possibilità di parcheggiare all’interno della proprietà. L’host è una persona gentile e molto colta che ci ha accolti dandoci moltissime indicazioni sulla città, ristoranti e caffè tipici, davvero di valore. Letto comodo, ottima pulizia.

Unico piccolo neo (se così si può dire), la camera aveva poco spazio tra il letto e il tavolino per sedersi a fare colazione.
