Good location, but slightly musty/bad smell

Great location, super easy access to any part of Lucca.

The place had a not great/stuffy smell and the windows did not open. We never had to wait for shared bathroom when we were there, but in peak times I imagine it can be a bit of a wait.

Pretty accomodation right in the middle of Lucca with a pleasent and available host!

Great location right in the center of lucca about a 15 min walk from the central train station. Beautiful interior and a very responsive and kind host that was reachable by phone at any time.

There is not AC but a decent ventilator, which is not a dissappointment as it was correctly advertised, just something to keep in mind if you have trouble sleeping when its warm.

Perfect place to stay when in Lucca!

This property was very clean and elegant. The host made the instructions to enter the property very clear so the self check in was easy. We loved Lucca and the property was beautiful. It still has an old interior making it more traditional. The owner is so lovely and accommodating.

The room was a bit warm without an air conditioner but we knew this when booking. It seriously wasn’t that bad at night after we got used to it. It does say it very clear so make sure you read before booking. Although she does have fans to use if you message prior to booking in.

Traditional Italian charm with views to Lucca's towers, comfortable and convenient location.

This gem in the middle of the old town Lucca was amazing! Samantha was really nice with us, showed us everything around the house and was very easy to communicate with. The house itself is a work of art, very traditional Italian, full of charm with vintage furniture and beautiful decoration. The room was spacious as was the bathroom and the bed very comfortable. Everything was spotless clean. Even though there was no breakfast due to Covid-19 restrictions, there was coffee and tea available in the kitchen. The view from the little balcony in the morning, overlooking the towers of Lucca was stunning. Really beautiful and well maintained traditional Italian charm. If you want to be transported to another era but still with comfort and efficiency, look no further!

The showers take 1-2 minutes till the water is warm + shared bathrooms which did not bother us, but important to keep in mind.

Couldn’t really sleep in scorching hot rooms.

Nice rooms with period features. Really good location at the center of the old city. Easy check in.

The rooms were scorching hot to the point that we couldn’t sleep at all. The rooms only feature fans and not air conditioning. Fans are not enough to cool down the rooms. The two rooms we had were under the roof - “attic”. You can see this in the picture that I attach. It was a hot day in Lucca, like many other in Italy in summertime so please be careful because it is very likely that you will not able to get any rest in the months of July and August. We contacted the host to complain about this and she offered a discount on a future booking which to us felt completely insensitive. We live in the UK and will most likely not come back to Lucca. Wi-Fi, whilst available, was very intermittent and weak.

Perfect location. In a quiet street yet only a few mins walk from the main square and hustle and bustle. The host was lovely and easy to communicate with. The place was clean and quaint. We absolutely loved the decor, it had such a beautiful touch and we felt immediately at home. Would recommend this place to everyone

A room not a B&B

Central location. Old fashioned decor.

This is not a bed and breakfast: there is no breakfast. As a solo traveller I was unhappy to be the only occupant at night. The owner only appeared at the end of my stay. Non-en-suite but that was okay. Three flights of stairs. Manageable but not ideal.

The cutest little place, steeped in history and hidden in the labyrinth of little streets within the old city walls. Such a great spot, I would definitely go back.

Bathrooms are far from the room. The room was very cold. A heater is definitely required, to take the edge off the cold. The name should be changed so it doesn’t call itself a bed and breakfast. There is no breakfast option at all, only coffee pods which you have to pay for. That confused me as it was a last minute booking and I assumed I could buy breakfast.
