Lovely local bed and breakfast - highly recommended

We had a fantastic stay! The setting was beautiful, with plenty of outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The proprietor was incredibly welcoming and personally served us breakfast and coffee each morning, which made the experience feel extra special. The self-serve drinks (beer, water, soft drinks) on the honor system were a nice touch. Everything was cleaned daily, parking was easy, and we got great local recommendations. Highly recommend!

Tuscany Introduction

Our trip down to Tuscany waS filled with memorable memories, and this place was one of them. B&B Alloro proved to be the right choice and location, being in the countryside and the warm welcome from the host was a beautiful touch. She provided us with places to eat and visit that weren't far away. The room was clean and tidy, and the pool area was perfect. They even had a fridge with beer and water to help yourself on an honour system. The morning breakfast was in an alfresco area over looking the pool, which was already set out. Our host, being ever so efficient, provided our morning breakfast and great coffee. There were plenty of tables and chairs and lounges to relax outside of the accommodation and around the pool. Montecalo was a little village 8 mins away, so it proved a great choice provided by our host.' Fabulous restaurants to dine outside or just walk the ancient town. Good pick !!

Beautiful setting, amazing breakfast, very friendly hosts, lots of nice animals, huge swimming pool and plenty of space!

Nothing, all great - worth noting you need a car to access the property and surrounding areas. It’s up a track, but well worth it for the amazing surroundings!

A Peaceful Gem – Perfect for Families!

We absolutely loved our stay at B&B Alloro! The breakfast was freshly prepared every morning and absolutely delicious. Our child had the best time roaming freely around the property, which had donkeys, geese, chickens, and bunnies—it was like a little paradise for kids! The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, truly treating us like family. We also enjoyed some excellent local wine during our stay. Everything about the place was peaceful and relaxing. It felt super safe and was a great escape from the busyness of city life. One of the coolest surprises was just 200 meters from the property—a 600-year-old tree that’s said to have inspired the tale of Pinocchio. Such a magical touch to an already unforgettable stay. We had no complaints and would love to come back!

Fabulous find in the hillls. Like a stay at a country house more than an inn.

The breakfast, which was far GREATER than expected, was enhanced by a beautiful setting, overlooking the valley. Fresh fruits, bread, yogurt, cereal, and the only fresh eggs we had on our Italian holiday.

The bed sagged and could have been firmer for my liking.

- the establisment - the pool - spacious room

- no towls provided for the pool - no A/C - matress hard and uncomfortable, pillows too big - no piece of soap in the bathroom to wash your hands - too much rooms / people, didn’t realize that while booking - breakfast not healthy, lots of sugar and fat, though the owner really did her best to provide breakfast

Very relaxing stay in a B&B with a lot of facilities, a super kind host and good location!

Very good location close to Montecarlo and not so far from Lucca. Relaxing garden with a big pool, farm animals, games and cosy corners to sit down. You can really ask Viviana for anything and she’ll try to help you out.

Homey, rustic Tuscan feel!

We discovered this place last minute and we were very lucky indeed. Viviana was lovely and made us feel at home. The place is the best when you need to relax and just hear the birds chirping and watch the fireflies at night. It definitely has this homey, rustic Tuscan feel. What's more is that it is only a 5 minute drive to Montecarlo, which we only knew from Viviana, and has the best dry-aged meat we ever tasted! And that's coming from us Piemontese!

It's just a personal preference and a little detail, but the bed was too soft and there was no bidet.

Very nicely renovated with a modern look inside, clean and quiet, friendly owners, got good recommendations for dinner nearby (Montecarlo is a cute little town just a short drive away), lovely breakfast area, and even a pool!

Wifi only worked in public area but we were told the equipment is ordered and on the way.

Fantastic place to stay!

Vivianna was the absolute best host. She did everything to make our stay comfortable. The Inn is beautiful and super clean. My husband is enamored with this B & B. We enjoyed sitting in the evening sun while sipping a glass of wine and listening to the farm animals. If we ever return to Italy we will definitely return. Thank you for the very enjoyable stay and delicious breakfast.

The location is awesome and Viviana is the perfect landlady. Quiet place, relax and amazing atmosphere. During August/September Montecarlo hosts the wine festival. (Festa del vino). Lucca is just 20 minutes from the b&b. Pistoia just half an hour

Amazing!

Everything was amazing!! The B&B is beautiful, clean and very peaceful. Good breakfast and dinner with local food, swimming pool is amazjng and the location is perfect to visit other places like Lucca and Florence. Would definitely recommend this!! Vivianna is the best host ever, thank you so much! We will come back for sure!

The host misled us and did not provide the main attractions (pool and bikes). Won't come back.

The breakfast was ok, but nothing special. Beautiful and tranquil location. Lost of friendly animals.

No WiFi (there was one but could not connect) and poor cell network. Poor contact with the host (lots of misunderstandings). The host promised in her offer that we will have an access to the swimming pool and bikes but the pool was closed for a few weeks now (no info on the website) and the bikes were broken (no info on the website). It was the biggest upset. Ants and insects in the room.

Great location and a beautiful atmosphere

The owner is a really lovely woman and there are some cats and a cute old dog. The property is really big and gives you all the rest you need. The breakfast was delicious and way to much for us. But we loved it! The room is very clean and I slept 10 hours in a row, that says enough I guess ;)

Bellissima struttura immersa nel verde. Molto accogliente.

Purtroppo il letto nella nostra stanza non era comodo: materasso mollo e cigolio. Gli ospiti nelle altre due stanze invece non hanno avuto questo problema.
