Loved it!

I loved the area, it was very quiet and a practical location to get to everywhere! The staff were all so lovely and helpful, every morning would ask and help make suggestions for plans and what to do and had some very good recommendations! The room was lovely and clean and comfortable! Loved my stay!

Cozy and niche boutique guest house

Good size room with everything you need. The bathroom was well laid out. Breakfast was satisfactory with both hot and cold options. The property is small so it gives a nice intimate feel

If you are a light sleeper then bring an eye mask. The room does have block out curtains, but they are white and the moment it gets light outside then you will be up. The acoustics from the other rooms travel easily into your room as well. It was a little cold during our stay but we switched on the wall heater which took the chill out of the air.

I would repeat!

The staff is very friendly and kind. They give good advices about where to go and what to do. The room is huge and comfortable, and the garden with the pool and breakfast quite cute. The guide the staff booked for our trip around the Cape was also amazing! A lovely place to stay :)

Perfect stay and location

Excellent stay! Me and my wife stayed for 5 nights and It was a lovely stay. The facilities were excellent and the room was super clean. The breakfast was fantastic every morning and Tino and the staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. There was nothing that was too much hassle and they went above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent stay. We would definitely recommend staying. The location is perfect to get to the beaches and waterfront. We will be looking to go back here when we re-visit south Africa

Gorgeous spot, lovely host.

The room was beautiful, very well kept, and we had amazing service from Tino.

It was a little cold, BUT we arrived during a huge cold front and Tino offered us extra blankets - this wasn’t an issue for us at all.

Home away from home in Cape Town

Very comfortable bed and lovely shower with all the required amenities. Our host, Tino, was so welcoming and friendly. We will be back!

We enjoy black coffee but other guests might enjoy some milk or creamer. The Nespresso coffee was a treat.

A little oasis in a safe and quiet area of Cape Town. Good location for city sites and restaurants with secure car parking. The four rooms are generously sized and well appointed with a shared but intimate outside space. Staff were outstanding and Tino and his team were very knowledgable and personable

Beautiful place, beautiful people!

A peaceful oasis yet centrally located in a great area. The guesthouse is beautifully turned out with every attention to detail, the breakfast served in the garden was lovely. Tino, Gift and the team were awesome and it was such a pleasure to stay with them. We didn't want to leave!

We strongly recommend this little guest house and would gladly come back.

We really liked the staff at the guest house who could not have been more helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed, informal and professional. The room had a full kitchen, with french windows onto a covered terrace overlooking a lovely pool and breakfast area. We had a full cooked breakfast which was excellent. The quiet central location is excellent in terms of distance by uber from the harbour, and beaches.

It would have been nice to be able to order a small snack and tea from the guest house in the afternoon after a day of sightseeing..

Great little gem

Tino was the perfect host and extremely helpful in advising local directions and also arranging an uber when onward transport didn’t arrive. Room and bed very comfortable. Good safe location. Liked the stocked fridge and overall ambiance.

Beautiful oasis in the middle of the city

Tino is an incredible host. We felt very well looked after, it truly is a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. Our room had a large leafy veranda perfect for reading on, the breakfast was exceptional (our server Gift was very attentive) and the pool was an added bonus after a day spent trekking around Cape Town. I would not hesitate to stay here again

Amazing stay!

We loved that the guesthouse was cozy and small. All the greenery. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was amazing the manager, Tino, was adorable and incredibly attentive.

The pool was not heated, and there were no fully blackout blinds.

Beautiful gem that could do with a polish to bring it back up to its best.

Very cute room. Beautiful setting. Pool with loads of greenery around, small oasis.

Needed attention to details. Few areas are looking tired, bought to owners attention and they were very keen to repair. Cleaning in the bathroom really needed attention. This was brought to hosts attention and was resolved during our stay. Very good reaction to our issues and concern to make our stay perfect.

AMAZING AMAZING! 🌴🌿🧡

It's a true oasis in the middle of Capetown, close to everything, yet quiet and relaxed in a safe neighborhood. There are only 4 rooms so it feels very cozy and private. Rooms are nice with a comfy bed and great shower. Also the terraces and pool is a plus.. Every morning there is this lovely fresh breakfast with a lot of choises. But most importantly; the staff. David & Tino make this place an 11 out of 10. And make you feel at home. Every morning we had a chat about what to do, what to see, where to eat and other things. Thank you guys for making our stay so memorable. We are coming back for sure and highly recommend it!!

Lovely property and wonderful welcoming team

We had a lovely stay at Cape Standard. Both Tino and Paddington were so helpful and always had a smile on their face. They went out of their way to help when our suitcases didn’t arrive with us and also suggested and made dinner reservations for us. The property was really peaceful, a lovely place to arrive after a long journey and rooms nice and comfy. You could walk to the waterfront (about 20 mins, only in day time) but it was also very easy and affordable to get Uber, which we did every evening we went out. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

It’s perfect for people who appreciate cozy stays rather than mass tourism hotels. The bed mattress was super comfortable, the room always clean, and the hosts super kind and friendly. We felt safe and well taken care of. Good breakfast, too! And we loved how green it felt thanks to the outdoor space.

great place to be based for exploring Cape Town!

the guesthouse is in a great location with on site parking and a short distance from all main attractions around Cape Town, we used Uber to also get around and most rides were only £2. the staff are amazing, very accommodating and happy to help with anything. they were also able to suggest some fantastic restaurant recommendations and make the reservations for us. we couldn’t fault the breakfast at all, it was absolutely delicious! would definitely recommend and would stay here again!
