Great place to stay in SeaPoint

It was a safe and secure warm and welcoming place to stay. Michael and his staff were very knowledgeable and helpful It was secluded yet close to the main thoroughfare of Sea Point and the promenade on the sea front was only a leisurely 10 minute walk away. Poolside rooms are great but other rooms don’t disappoint either.

A unique place to stay in central Cape Town!

There's literally nothing like Rosedene Lodge. Even before I stepped foot in Cape Town, Michael was in constant communication with me, sharing tips and making sure I've got nothing to worry about when I arrive. I had an early check in organised and got a very clean, ready-to-go room. The hotel is not brand new and shiny but it has a very charming character, beautiful rooms and a garden. And the location is super central, yet safe. The staff is fantastic and very helpful. Fresh bread for breakfast and their wine selection are additional pluses! I'd definitely stay there again!

There was nothing I didn't like. But just a note for future guests - the electricity sockets in my room were all European-style (I only had UK and SA adapters with me) and there's no 24h desk service. Though none of it affected my experience overall

Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommend!

We had a fantastic stay in the double/twin room with a pool view. It was such a treat to have a patio overlooking the pool - perfect for relaxing. The beds were very comfortable, the room was spotless, the WiFi good, and the entire property felt warm and homely. The staff were exceptional - so welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Michael, the owner, was easy to talk to and happy to give recommendations, he was a lovely host. The location was excellent, and we always felt safe and secure within the property. We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

location, there are some nice cafe just by a minute walk to the main road

1. water we had to request water for use to clean the face or brush our teeth, we were given a 1.5L bottle a day (sometimes it tap water filled, sometimes new bottles) as the tap water is not potable and salt 2. the drinking the still water, small bottles in the minibar, we drank we were charged yeah the minibar always fulled of many drinks 3. our room wasn't have a good air flow and only small window to get the nature light, the door lock as broken and we have to keep the bathroom small window open with 4. the common area inside was always full of staff sitting down and working on laptop not as that relax to sit and working on my digital nomad stuff 5. during the loadshedding we had to ask the staff to give us a small lamp, while every other places we visit there usually always one lamp available in a room just in case I need to consider a lot if I will revisit dont quite worth a value

Very relaxing stay

Great outside area with beautiful garden and pool. Perfect to unwind and relax! The location of the guesthouse is also ideal. Super close to main road yet very quiet.

Bed bugs spoiled the stay

Good location, communication was very good and Teacher was very welcoming and accommodating. The swimming area looks very nice even though we didn’t get to use it.

The biggest issue is that we woke up with bites all over our bodies from which we can only think are from bed bugs. There is now real communal area as this seems to be an office. There is no off street parking and had to park in the road in front of the property. Even though it was all fine, it didn’t seem particularly safe.

A very comfortable, warm & friendly welcome to Cape Town.

Teacher was very welcoming, and went out of his way to make us comfortable. The delicious breakfast the following morning was the cherry on the top. Thank you.

A Kettle with some tea and coffee should be in the room, and a small milk in the fridge.

I liked the flexibility of the owner, but the geyser gave a little problem when we wanted the jaccuzi at night. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay

Jaccuzi should be always warm, the gas was empty bcz I wanted to cook. The pool atleast water could have been warm
