Wonderful Apartotel

Wonderful Apartotel, we stayed in a one bedroom apartment on the fifth floor with kitchen, bathroom and lounge with DStv channels on the smart TV, there was also a TV in the bedroom. The daily breakfast was excellent with a variety of offerings. The swimming pool was big enough to actually swim in. All the staff were very friendly and eager to help in any way to make our stay perfect.

Would highly recommend

Very well maintained rooms and property in general. The staff was also very courteous and helpful and always had a smile on their face. They did everything possible to make our stay very comfortable. Excellent location with everything in CT a short drive away. The room was very well appointed, spacious and clean with a fully stocked kitchen.

We booked a two bedroom apartment of which the second bedroom didn’t have an AC. This was a surprise to us as this was not mentioned anywhere during booking. We were able to manage as the nights were pleasant but would have been appreciated if this was clearly mentioned. The master bedroom bathroom has a massive bathtub which is quite inconvenient and dangerous to get in and get out of.

Great place to stay

Great location, very comfortable and well-equipped apartments. Lots of breakfast options including full cooked breakfast, Eggs Benedict, waffles etc. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The air con unit was in the sitting room and not the bedroom, so it was warm at night, but we did get used to it.

The property as a lovely appeal very welcoming. Exceptionally clean. Good location on a quiet street but very accessible to all Cape Town as to offer ALL Staff are lovely friendly and helpful. The photos don’t do the outside space justice. The sunbeds are a great added bonus in the sun. Great after exploring

Can't wait to come back!

This was an absolute gem for us and our 10 month old. We booked it last minute after our plans changed in South Africa and it really made the end of our trip. Great location, brilliant facilities, amazing staff, housekeeping were excellent, good bar, good breakfast. Pool area is really nice and usually quiet even though the hotel seemed busy. We ate Uber Eats most nights but would have cooked for ourselves if we were there longer. The parking was great too and a bargain at R100 per day for our own spot in a garage in the building. Ticked every box for us and more. 100% recommend.

Nothing really. Worth bearing in mind that as it's in Green Point it's on quite a steep hill, but that seems normal for Cape Town and didn't really affect us apart from pushing a pram up the hill in the hot summer afternoons.. but that was probably poor decision making on our part. We learned to do most of our walking activities in the morning and drive to things in the afternoon.

Over priced, misleading not being clear the air conditioning is not in the bedroom.

Very misleading to say “air conditioning” when it’s only in the living area and not in the bedroom where one needs it the most. Provide a miserable fan for bedroom, which does not quite fall into the “luxury” category. Do not replenish tea bags or coffee pods, which I find petty. Having to book breakfast the night before is not appealing to me. They didn’t replenish the yogurt selection over the 5 Days we were there, after asking if they had anything other than low fat, after the first day. Small things, but to me short sighted, and not guest friendly.

It’s our third stay at Romney, and we always enjoy coming back. It is a great location with wonderful staff.

The bedding, as with our previous stay was not suitable for the bed. The duvet cover doesn’t fit the inner, so the inner is hang out.

Great location, comfortable and convenient.

We really enjoyed our stay at Romney. The location was very convenient as we were there for the Cape Town Marathon, there were plenty of great restaurants in the area. The room was spacius and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Great Stay with Wonderful Staff, but Restaurant Could Improve

The hotel was very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Everyone there was beyond nice, and we truly enjoyed our stay. This hotel is great for families and groups of friends since the rooms can accommodate several people.

My only complaint is about the breakfast buffet, it’s always crowded, so you need to book in advance, and the food options were a bit limited. Also, the minibar doesn’t offer complimentary water. However, the location is great, with many shops and places to explore nearby if you have a car.

Great location, walking distance to the Sea Point promenade, V&A Waterfront and nearby eateries. Great view from our room with spacious rooms and on site facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. On site pool was a great addition with plenty of loungers. Great cocktails at the bar :-)

I liked how responsive the staff were to my questions before my travel date and during my booking. Breakfast was good. Wifi connection had no challenges. Security and location of the area were good.

They need to do better in cleaning the apartments. My bathroom was not cleaned on the first day after travel. Other than that, general cleanliness was okay

We always choose Romney Park when travelling to Cape Town. The apartments are beautifully appointed, the staff are professional and friendly, 24 hour security is great, and the location is very central. The undercover, secure parking is also such a bonus.

Surprisingly quiet, very comfortable and luxurious stay

I booked here due to proximity to Cape Town stadium, which is a pretty quick walk. The apartment was excellent! Very comfy beds and pillows, dark and quiet rooms (my favourite) and everything we needed. And really, really big! And a great view! I absolutely recommend this apartment
