Spacious apartment with amazing views

Aissa is a wonderful and welcoming host and she helped make our stay an enjoyable one. Great location with a fantastic view in a quiet a safe area. The apartment was so spacious and had everything with needed including a well stocked kitchen, washing machine, secure off street parking Netflix account access was an added bonus. We loved the honesty system with the communal bar too!

The only minor disadvantage is that the property is at the top of a very steep hill so the walk back up is not for those with mobility issues or poor fitness levels.

Excellent place to stay in Cape Town

It's the second time I've stayed at Bluegum. The room and the whole guest house are both very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. Aissa manages the property. She's very customer friendly and is willing to share her extensive knowledge of the area. I really like the fact that the property is very clean and is well maintained.

Everything is fantastic. There are steps to enter the property which could be problematic for disabled guests.

Great place, wonderful location and lovely hosts

The Penthouse was a lovely place to stay- very spacious with incredible views and excellent aircon in the bedroom. Mosquito repellant provided which was very kind. Lovely coffee making facilities. The host was incredibly helpful in greeting us and giving us advice on places to visit. Peaceful neighbourhood and felt very safe leaving our car on the road which had a security guard present throughout. Located on a big hill but wasn't an issue as we drove/ caught ubers to and from most locations around the city.

Perfect location with wonderful hosts

Hosts and staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect . Amazing location with views over V&A waterfront and stadium out to Robben Island , which was stunning especially while enjoying an amazing breakfast.

We absolutely loved our stay at Bluegum Hill Guesthouse.

The property is in the city, but still feels nice and secluded as it’s nice and high up on the hill. It has a beautiful view of the city.

Because of the location, there are a lot of stairs. The views are incredible, but it would be difficult for persons with mobility issues.

We loved this accomodation - location, hosts, breakfast was amazing, served on a balcony overlooking the city/coast. The hosts were remarkably helpful with advice about sightseeing and how to get out and about in CT. The accomodation was really close to the harbour via a stepped walkway - it took us 20 minutes max.

Everything you want in a guesthouse

I loved everything about this guesthouse. It’s in a quiet and safe location, it’s extremely comfortable, has great views towards the Waterfront, and Aissa and her team were super friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfast was a particular highlight. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again when in Cape Town.

It was wonderful!

The accommodation is well decorated and although our room was not to big it was very comfortable. You’ll get great views of the city from the terrace. The breakfast was great. Aissa was such a great host! She helped us out wherever she could and we felt extremely welcomed. We are going to miss this place!

A unique place to stay a

The view was spectacular and it was wonderful sitting outside admiring the view. Breakfast on the balcony was a view we will never forget. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The owners went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful time in Cape Town with great suggestions on what to do and restaurant suggestions. The room was lovely and spacious with a large bathtub.

Refreshing experience during my stay here

The room was bright, fresh and cozy - with complete amenities and Netflix. The property is tastefully furnished with a stunning view overlooking the stadium, sea and Robben Island. Breakfast was generous and delicious! Aissa was warm, welcoming and considerate - giving me good advise to explore the city followed by an evening trip to Table Mountain to watch the beautiful sunset! I felt so refreshed during my stay here and am grateful.

Beautiful property, perfect location

The location was amazing, stunning views over the stadium and out to sea and only a few minutes drive into town. We loved having our own private decking area and the bath in the bedroom was great.

Incredibly clean and beautiful house with spectular view and staff.

This has the most amazing location, the pictures can't capture the feeling you have when you are standing there in real life. The hostesses were super friendly and gave a lot of information about Cape Town and what to do. The house was extremely clean and had all the facilities you could ever want. It surpassed every expectation we had and they were already sky high.

Harder mattresses, but this is a personal preference of course.

Very calm location high up the hill with a fabulous view over the False Bay, football stadium and V&A Waterfront. I enjoyed sitting down in the garden by the pool and listening to all the birdsong. The owners and staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Not much to complain really. As it's a private home, the sound proofing isnt' top notch so had I had noisy neighbours that might have been an issue. Also the owners have a couple of friendly small dogs - if you're super allergic or just afraid of dogs this might not be your place while for the rest of us it is just a bonus.

the facilities and location were amazing with a great view of the bay from atop the green point neighborhood. Aissa and Ughetta were beyond helpful in recommending dining, activities, and sites, and added a personal touch to customize our trip. Could have stayed another week!
