JA Mar Hall Glasgow Scotland

Mar Hall was luxurious and welcoming, with all staff warm and friendly, the facilities were fantastic, the food was great and the grounds magnificent. Our room, just a classic room, was spacious and comfortable, clean and enjoyable to stay in. All that and only 10 minutes from Glasgow airport! We were sad to only have one night there!

We had some noisy neighbours who took a while to settle in to their room next door. There was a lot of crashing and banging and conversation going on in the corridor and doorway which wouldn’t have been a problem but the noise did travel to our room and was very loud - not the most relaxing but it did quieten down!

Beautiful, comfy bedrooms and the spa and gym facilities were lovely and all very new and clean. We had drinks in the bar, and they had a good whisky selection.

The service and food was a bit mixed, the breakfast in particular was not great. One member of our party asked for coffee from 4 different members of staff and it never came. The entryway was also under construction so it didn’t look quite like the images/videos we’d seen.

Excellent, attentive and professional staff

In comparison to the hotel the spa facilities were not quite as impressive

I had a lovely stay. The grounds are beautiful and I loved our room.

Upon arrival, the member of staff checking us in did not tell us anything about the spa. We had to find out ourselves. Secondly, we were not asked about a turn down service. However, when we returned to our room after the spa the blinds were down. They were up when we left the room. It didn’t feel like the turn down experience as nothing else was done. We were also woken up at 4am by loud music. I don’t know how this happened. The music was within our room and almost felt like someone connected to the Bluetooth. I don’t understand that part. Overall I loved my stay however there were a few things that could be done better upon arrival.
