A pretty place to stay in Edinburgh!
All the amenities you’d need. Beautifully styled. Super friendly staff. Cleverly designed apartments, making great use of space. Lots of consideration taken to layout of rooms and how people will use them.
Very noisy (not a lot they can do about it and the white noise machine was much appreciated).
Very hot in the room. Had to battle between opening windows to cool the room down and the noise at night. We did turn the thermostat right down and discovered a fan just before we left… it was difficult to get ready for a day out in winter when it’s too hot to get ready.
Not even so much as a complimentary water in the room.

A fanatic property.
Great location. Lovely hotel right next to lots of bars restaurants and transport. Staff were lovely and helpful. Rooms were clean and had everything you needed. Cafe right down the stairs was handy for coffee in the morning. The place felt really secure and safe. We parked at NCP castle terrace and received 50% off. No complaints I would return again in a heartbeat.

Fantastic stay at Eden Locke!
From the moment we checked in, we knew we would have a good stay. Holly was so friendly and welcoming, and signposted us to all the things we would need whilst staying. The room was great, and felt like a home away from home. Bed was really comfy, and heated floor a nice touch.
The level of care from the team from check in to check out was great. Great location, lovely people, nice room! Really recommend.

Everything! Perfection all round. It began with the warmest reception and then all the staff we meet were wonderful. The room was ideal and exceeded my expectations. Prime location with great bars and restaurants all around us. We were disappointed we’d only booked one night so will be sure to stay longer next time. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable

Check in times are ridiculously late, charge £30 to check in an hour earlier which takes the mick a little. Cleaning fee is required if you have a long stay, which we didn’t. It’s like a hybrid between an air b&b and a hotel. Noise right outside the room in the night, maybe a club or a bar. Hardly any light in the main bedroom which was difficult for getting ready and reading in bed. Staff are polite when talking to them but don’t even look up to smile or acknowledge you when you enter and leave.

Absolutely perfect, arguabily the best hotel I've ever stayed in.
I have requested a higher room and Eden Locke accomodated my request and reassured me in a closer weeks to my arrival. They had made sure to answer every question I had with impecible details and tried all they could to meet my request. There was no laziness from the t eam or any backlash, everything was very customer friendly. The reception desk was also very nice with us requiring items for the room such as Loo Roll making it easy to obtain and no issues at all.
To top it off - we had arrived around 11 AM to drop off our bags in their baggage hold while we explored and to come back at 4 for Check-In. However, the reception team told us our room is already ready for us and we could head in now if we'd like. That was a 5 hour earlier check in for free to add as well. I did pay for the late check out as we'd agreed but the team did not try to push payments on me for the room being ready earlier.
This really made our trip perfect as we were very tired from travelleing and to have a little time to relax before heading out again made ALL the difference to our trip.
The room? Spotless. Absolutely perfect and had everything we needed. We enjoyed a very cozy 3 days at this hotel and it was no less than perfection.
The round things up, we did catch a couple of other hotels that me and my partner did look at. I would strongly recommend Eden Locke as the location is in such an amazing spot. Convincence Stores, Bars and Clubs, Food Spots and all you need right nearby. The cafe downstairs also amazing, the staff working there are incredible considering how busy I saw it get at all times of the day.
Mayvn staff deserve another level of praise for how quick they are, how nice they are and how much they make coming into the lobby of the hotel so much more welcoming. There were 2 ladies and a gentlemen who served me in the morning and made me feel so welcome. They made sure everything was up to standard and made my trip just that extra special.

Great hotel and wonderful location
Great hotel in a very convenient location, rooms are very well equipped and are perfect for relaxing in after a long day of walking around Edinburgh.
Rooms were VERY hot, this is in October too. Opening the window helped cool them down somewhat but the roads around the hotel are fairly loud, especially on weekends.
The bed whilst comfy was extremely noisy, one person getting out would wake the other with the amount of creaking and squeaking from the bed frame.

Highly recommended hotel experience in new town!
This was an excellent experience. So many small touches that made a difference: a washer/dryer in the room, kitchen facilities, blackout blinds and even a magnet to cover up the oven light, a white noise machine. The room was also very quiet, despite being right next to the lobby and restaurant.

This was our second stay at Eden Locke and I recommend it.
The central location couldn’t be better. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to see and it was a 5 minute walk to the tram stop. The coffee shop was perfect for grabbing a bite and a coffee to start the day. My husband has some special needs and Charlotte made sure these needs were met. We stayed in a family room and the layout was perfect for us. It was also very quiet.
I found the lighting in the main room a bit dim. Otherwise we had no complaints.

the bedrooms are dark, the room where we stayed was quiet but as it was on top floor it was located right next to an exhaustion pipe and the noise was constant. when we addressed that to staff they offered an alternative of earplugs.

For the price paid, I would've expected air conditioning of some sort. There were only 2 instant coffee mixes given for 4 days, no treats... no body lotion, no robe. Room was styled well but there were stains on the sofa. I just think it could've been a little more special.
