Ideal place to stay in Orvieto

The central location is really great, being under 5 mins walk from the Duomo and 10 mins walk from Piazza Cahen where the funicular station is situated. Though on the main street, it's set back in a courtyard, therefore it's very quiet. Conveniently, there is a supermarket next door. The high ceiling apartment itself is beautifully designed, the kitchen is well equipped, and it feels warm (in Feb), cozy and really comfortable. Instructions for self check in and check out were easy to follow. The complimentary fruits are a nice touch. A bottle of water, coffee pods and tea/infusion bags are also provided. I was really happy I chose Casa Ginevra for my 2 nights stay in beautiful Orvieto.

It's more for awareness than me not liking it as I'm tiny and also did not use it as a solo occupier of the apartment, but headroom on entrance in the open mezzanine 2nd bedroom is on the low side.

Well appointed apartment in a great location.

Cute apartment in the center of Orvieto. Great for our short visit. Cozy space close to the Dumo, restaurants, etc.

Nothing. All was great. Dropping off bags was a bit of a challenge, but we managed. Had to park the car in the lower parking lot, but it was less than a 10 min walk. We drove in to drop off and pick up the luggage.

An amazing day in Orvieto!

The property was in the best location we could have hooked for! It was clean, well appointed, and the owners seem to have thought about everything. It was very roomy and updated, and they even left us some fruit and juice and water! The decor was modern yet rustic And was the perfect location for our time in Orvieto.

Charming in great location!

Location was great! Yet still set off the street away from noise. Very clean and nicely appointed. Main bedroom spacious. Lots of restaurants and shops. Grocery store is right near by. We loved Orvieto.

The loft is not for the less agile. (we are in 60’s)Good for young people. Too warm at night….

Nice place

Beds were comfortable and ACworked wel on hot days. Staff was very attentive to plumbing issues.

We did have some major plumbing issues. Water heater sprung a leak, shower hose popped off, and toilet would run water if you pushed the button incorrectly. But the property manager was very quick to solve the issues. The issues might have been caused by too high of flow of water from city but not sure.

Our host was so helpful and the accommodations are outstanding! The host helped us contact a taxi for early morning pick-up the next day, so helpful for any questions we had of the area. Orvieto was so beautiful, quaint and the Cathedral just amazing. We were there one day and it was sufficient to see the sights all over town, but certainly longer would be nice. The dolce dessert place close by, also wonderful!

Centrally located in an amazing town . Orvieto is a special town to visit in Italy and Casa Ginerva is a perfect place to stay. The owner was incredibly helpful to find suitable parking and very helpful at check-in. Highly recommend.

A simply unforgettable stay!

This property was excellent! Spotless clean, mattress very comfortable, rooms lovely furnished and decorated. Fresh fruit in the kitchen, fruit juice and water in the fridge. Coffe and teas were available in abundance! The property, at the ground floor of an antique palace, is in the center of Orvieto: restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies are very close. The Cathedral and most of the interesting parts of Orvieto are nearby. Perfect location and the owner, very kind, gave us the keys and his telephone number in case on any need. I have travelled very often but this property is simply unforgettable!

perfect!

ground floor so no stairs! We parked outside town and took the escalators then a short walk and we were there. Very nice room, comfortable bed, nice shower and some lovely fruit upon arrival. Good lighting. Lovely host who was very handy with a voice translator so we communicated just fine. I would definitely stay here again!

WiFi wasn’t very fast. we didn’t use the upstairs room as there were just 2 of us.

A quiet stay in a spotless suite.

The suite was very very clean. The location was very central to the main sights. The fruit basket was most appreciated.

There was no sitting room to relax in, however, this was not a problem as we were out and about most of the time during our 2 night stay.

amazing location in the centre of Orvieto but then privacy you need away from the hustle and bustle. they also provided us with a fruit basket, juices, water and recommendations on where to go.

This is the perfet place to stay for a visit to Orvietto. Great location. Quiet.

We loved the location and the property. Modern kitchen and bath. Nicely furnished. Lots of storage space though we didn't need that. Quiet. Great value for the money. Fresh fruit bowl on the table.

My only issue was that the hosts didn't speak English. We had trouble with the translated message of where to park which is difficult to figure out in Orvieto as you can't park next to the property. Even when we met up with them, they didn't quite understand our dilemna. We finally figured out a parking place a bit away. We needed to carry luggage uphill over the cobblestones.

Disappointing

Central, quiet location. Clean. Nice bathroom, kitchen and main bedroom.

2nd bedroom is not fit for purpose. Located on a mezzanine with less than 5ft of headroom. No wardrobe space. No where to sit or hang clothes. This apartment is not suitable as a family let, or for any more than 2 adults sharing the main bedroom.

Bene, ma rivedibile qualcisa

Ottima la posizione dell’alloggio; ottima la comunicazione con l’host, che peraltro ci ha fatto trovare acqua, frutta e succhi, oltre al caffè.

L’accesso è in un cortile di un palazzo dove parcheggiano le auto: è stato per noi complicato l’accesso diretto alla casa per via di una macchina parcheggiata a pochi centimetri dalla porta. Quattro adulti dormono sacrificati: in due devono stare sul letto in cima ad un soppalco con volta bassa a botte senza possibilità di raggiungere la posizione eretta ed in comunicazione con il resto della casa. Rivedibile.
