Absolutely loved Orivieto, the apartement and the hospitality we received

Orivieto is amazingly beautiful town, and the apartment is within five minutes walk to literally everything from all the historical sights, great restaurants/cafes and mini-market. The apartment is of high quality and very well furnished. We really enjoyed looking at nice paintings/books and being surrounded by antique furniture and nice materials used. And most of all, what made our holiday so memorable was the hospitality of Stefano, our host. He is always reachable and genuinely trying to help us enjoy, giving us great recommendations of restaurants, local shops and short trips, which turned out to be perfect. We are so grateful of his help on our parking logistics in a heavy rain... Will come back!

This apartment is the perfect home for visiting the sites in Orvieto.

Location! Location! Location! Just three steps off the Corso Covour and 10 steps from the Piazza del Popolo . You are exactly in the historical heart of Orvieto. The apartment is beautifully modernized within an historical building. It has a complete kitchen, although you are surrounded by wonderful restaurants. The owner is always available and very helpful although I didn’t need anything.

EVERYTHING! From the obvious care taken to organize the fine details, you lacked absolutely nothing in this meticulously renovated, spacious Orvieto flat. Every important element was thoughtfully anticipated throughout and as a bonus, furnishings included some very wonderful historic pieces that were also refurbished and could tell a story all on their own. Very clever and practical design ideas were evident throughout the entire space and from the moment you enter, you feel that you are in a lovely, spacious and comfortable unit. Avid readers are in for a treat! Feast your eyes on the bookcase and encyclopedia collections along the perimeter in the open concept kitchen/living space. As a Psyc. graduate, it was very interesting and challenging, to peruse Sigmund Freud's 'The Interpretation of Dreams' in Italian. The position in Orvieto could not be better. In a quiet medieval, cobblestone street just a few short steps to one of two main streets containing all of Orvieto's most charming bars, restaurants and boutiques. And of course, a short walk from the very popular and notable Duomo di Orvieto. If you haven't visited Orvieto, you absolutely should. And if you are fortunate enough to find Domus Festina Lente available, you SHOULD book it. And if you find that it is already booked for your dates - CHANGE your dates! Stefano, your very kind host awaits your visit and is readily available to assist with your needs throughout your stay. A truly beautiful location in the Umbria region and a magical hilltop town to explore and/or base yourself to explore the beauty of Umbria. Close enough to Rome, yet far enough to transport you out if the chaos and into a hidden gem called Orvieto.

We wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a wonderful, if short, stay at this property! The host, Stefano, was very responsive to our inquiries and when we arrived, was immediately available to help us navigate parking and access to the unit! Location is a 10+++ just off the main street and easily accessed by the adjacent parking area in Piazza del Popolo. Stefano could not have been more helpful in securing us a dinner reservation and helping orient us to the neighborhood for sightseeing and a recommendation for lunch with local flair! Stefano went above and beyond by getting up at 4:45 AM to bid us goodbye and direct us out of the city - very much appreciated! Property was nicely decorated and well equipped. Would absolutely return! Highly recommend!

Driving in was a little harrowing as the streets are very crowded and narrow. If you have concerns about this, ask Stefano to recommend parking a little further out if you don't mind the walk.

This delightful, spacious apartment has all you could want and more! Renovated to a high standard, clean, comfortable, close to everything and located in a lovely part of beautiful Orvieto. Host, Stefano is welcoming, informative and proud of the stunning town in which he was born. We would return in a heart beat!

Nice stay in a great location; be prepared to hunt for parking.

Location outstanding. Apartment nicely equipped and quiet.

Booking listing says that parking is provided. Parking is in public lots on an "as available" basis. On the day we arrived there was a festival in the square where we were expected to park. We spent an hour and a half with the father of the apartment owner looking for a parking space. Also wifi failed for the last 36 hours of our stay; owner attributed it to wifi provider.

Great place and great person

Stefano is very nice. He waited for us and made sure we were on our way. He was also very helpful and answered all our questions about Orvieto, such as recommendations on cheating to eat. The apartment is located very close to the center. One of several apartments in the building. The building is secured at the gate and needs a key to enter which gives a sense of security. Arrival by car was fine, there are streets to which access is restricted but we got along. We used WAZE. The vehicle can not reach right up to the entrance to the building, but to the nearby parking area. From there you have to take luggage and walk 3 minutes. Parking is not free during the day (only at night), it costs by the hour ... There is a cheaper parking area, but it is far. The room was large and clean. Overall highly recommended

A fifth bed for a child was less comfortable. The thing with the nearby parking lot, which costs money, is worth mentioning already in the ad. Overall was great

Lovely apartment in old center

Great location in the historic center, very close to restaurants, shops. While in an historic building, the apartment has been restored and seems brand new. Very warm in the winter, it has a lovely bathroom, an open floor plan and felt very welcoming.
