Marco was amazing, and the apartment is so unique. I stayed with my daughter and the bed was SO comfortable, and the apartment perfectly situated on a street that was quiet yet convienent to both the center and parking since we had driven. The Etruscan cave spa was incredible! The jacuzzi tub, bath salts, candles, steam room and lower cool room were magical. We will be back!!

Absolutely perfect stay — special beautiful space!

Absolutely perfect stay! This apartment exceeded all expectations — even more beautiful than the photos. Everything was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The host was exceptional: kind, responsive, and communicated clearly throughout our stay. It’s a truly special and unique place that made our trip unforgettable. The caves are so special. During our visit, it was hot outside, but the apartment stayed cool. The location is great, we walked everywhere to several restaurants — you can walk across the entire city in 25 minutes. We highly recommend it. Thank you so much!

Unique experience

A unique place to stay. The hosts are very helpful, kind and respond quickly. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils needed for cooking. Very quiet at night. A slight uphill, but easy walk to the city center. Small tip if you are driving: If you plan to park in the parking garage located near the hotel, my advice is to park on the top (roof) level at the far end of the parking lot near the rotary. You will then be near the gate to the city and an easy walk to the hotel. Taking the elevator / escalator is not the easiest or the shortest path.

The highlight of our trip to Italy!

I am so glad my daughter and I found Il Nido Estrusco; it was the highlight stay of our trip to Italy! I like to book unique places so that my rental isn’t just a place to sleep, but a part of my travel experience, and this rental exceeded my expectations. The bottom half is a medieval cave which the owner has turned into an amazing spa. Relaxing in the tub in the middle of a cave carved in antiquity, with candles all around, was an unforgettable experience. The rest of the rental is beautiful and comfortable. There are two bathrooms, one conveniently in the sleeping loft. The appliances are high-end and there were ample breakfast items to have with our morning cappuccino. The owner was beyond helpful and kind.

Unforgettable experience that made our visit in Orvieto wholesome

Don’t think this is an average accommodation. This is an apartment + real SPA in a real etrurian cave. Both jacuzzi and hammam work perfectly. Hosts put a lot of effort: there is a variety of bath salts, new candles, bathrobes, and you have Alexa in all locations so music is everywhere. Kitchen is big, comfortable and I guess it has everything you need. Hosts are welcoming and friendly.

I think it’s the common problem for apartments located in this neighborhood - slight smell of moisture in the bathroom. But that’s actually not a big problem. The street where this apartment is located leads outside to the city walls so at the morning it might be noisy. And again, there’s no a problem

Excellent location and interesting apartment with you own cave and spa and sauna!

Unbelievably accommodating hosts! Welcomed on arrival, delivered fresh milk and checked in on us midway. The spa ‘cave’ was very cool. Worth a few days stay… parking easy and Marco was fantastic !

The internet was average - ok for checking emails but to download anything on laptop it struggled.

The Cave of Dreams

Everything. The apartment is simply wonderful in all aspects. The kicthen is ample with all appliances and utensils like home, and the remainder is nothing but relaxation. The sauna and Jacuzzi tub add a whole new level of luxury. Also Marco is kind and helpful.

Wonderful place to stay for those visiting Orvieto. The apartment has unique features and amenities.

Location of the apartment was perfect. Short walking distance to key touristic sites. The apartment has everything you need and much much more (jacuzzi and sauna). Host kindly welcomed us and provided all instructions to fully enjoy our stay. Marco suggested excellent places to dine out. The apartment however is equipped with a complete kitchen for those who want to cook or dine in.

the apartment was AMAZING!! it will make beautiful memories for anyone who stays here. The spa in the underground cavern must be seen and experienced. The pictures do manage to do it justice but even so, when you see it, and experience it, you will be amazed how it is exactly what you wanted it to be when you booked it. the lower level is just awe inspiring to imagine the history and the countless generations of people who used it and what they were doing at the time.

Amazing !!!

It was amazing. Such a good and warm host, we we will come back for sure. He gave us a tour of the house after we arrived and made sure we have everything in order to feel like home. We felt so good, also tv has Netflix. Nothing missed and the city is absolutely amazing, also very close to the center and good restaurants. We were surprised how comfortable it was. 10 out of 10

etruskisch Wohnen mit Komfort

Hübsche Wohnung für zwei Personen. Der etruskische Spa-Bereich ist eine kleine Zeitreise – die Bedeutung wurde mir erst nach der Underground-Führung richtig bewusst. Sämtliche Stufen im Apartment sind nicht ganz ungefährlich: Die Treppe ins Schlafzimmer ist einseitig offen, und auch die Treppen in den Keller sollte man mit Vorsicht begehen. WC bei Schlafzimmer und Bad/WC im Erdgeschoß. Bademäntel stehen zur Verfügung, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Das Bett und die Matratze sehr gut. Der Besitzer liebt technische Details wie Alexa, gut gesetzte Lichtquellen und Schalter. Außerdem ist er offensichtlich ein Romantiker – es gibt viele, viele Kerzen, um im Keller Romantik zu erzeugen. Die Lage ist gut. Die Straße vor dem Haus ist zwar eine Durchfahrtsstraße, aber dank der sehr guten Fenster hört man keinen Autolärm. Der Besitzer empfängt persönlich und erklärt alles ausführlich. Der öffentliche Parkplatz kostet 12 € pro Tag, die restlichen Parkplätze sind für Anrainer reserviert (was ich grundsätzlich gut finde).

Es gibt nur zwei Fenster. Leider ist das Küchenfenster mit einer Sichtschutzfolie verklebt – ich persönlich würde hier einen Vorhang bevorzugen. Das Schlafzimmerfenster bietet Aussicht auf die Straße. Das ist aber Kritik auf sehr hohem Niveau; ich mag einfach keine Fenster ohne Aussicht. Im Herbst ist die Wohnung etwas kühl, draußen warm innen kühl, liegt sicherlich am Steinhaus. WLan hatte oft Ausfälle.

L'appartamento è moderno e molto curato in ogni dettaglio, coniugando il passato di Orvieto attraverso i livelli sottostanti scavati nella roccia, frutto dell'affascinante storia della città. Abbiamo lasciato l'auto nel parcheggio coperto (a pagamento) subito vicino alla casa, ed è stato tutto molto semplice! Marco è stato gentilissimo, dandoci ottimi consigli sempre col sorriso. Siamo stati davvero bene :)

Non serve neanche dirlo, la spa scavata nel tufo è qualcosa di unico e incredibile, e già quella da sola vale il viaggio. Il resto dell'appartamento è molto carino, moderno e accogliente.

Un vero “Nido etrusco”

Appartamento molto bello, arredato benissimo, non mancava niente, anzi… più di quanto ci si possa aspettare. Parcheggio comodo e vicino, centro vicino, ma a piedi dopo una grande salita, mentre volendo dal parcheggio c’è la scala mobile. SPA privata molto romantica e bella nella grotta.

Se proprio devo trovare qualcosa: un po’ freddo, nonostante coperte in più…

Relaxen na ontdekkingstocht Orvieto

Na een dag in Orvieto te hebben rond gelopen, was het fijn om even te ontspannen in het Turkse stoombad of de jacuzzi. Het appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien.

Eigenlijk niets. Voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn is de locatie misschien niet geschikt. Als je naar de bezienswaardigeheden wilt moet je eerst een weg omhoog wat best pittig is. Parkeren in de parkeergarage "Ex Campo della Fiera". parkeer de auto bij de uitgang en loop daar naar buiten richting Porta Maggiore, het appartement is na enkele meters aan je rechterhand. Neem je de (rol)trappen in de parkeergarage dan ben je veel langer onderweg.

Relax e meraviglia

Appartamento curato nei dettagli e in posizione strategica per visitare la città, ma anche per scaricare con facilità i bagagli dal parcheggio più vicino. La spa privata una vera chicca per rilassarsi a fine giornata. Noi abbiamo viaggiato con il nostro cane e Marco è stato sempre gentile e attento ai nostri bisogni prenotandoci anche la cena in un ristorante buonissimo.
