We were absolutely delighted with our stay at the B&B l'histoire de l'éclair. It is a centuries old house with an interesting history but has been renovated inside and offers everything you need for a great stay. The hotel staff were very friendly and we especially enjoyed the carefully prepared breakfast and a glass of champagne to start the day. The house itself has an interesting history which the owner was very happy to tell us and also gave us his own tour of the house with additional details about the history of Bruges and the house. We would definitely recommend this location and we hope to return soon.

Breakfast was amazing, and the space was beautiful
We stayed in the superior loft which was incredible, but it was so. hot. There’s only a mobile a/c and even when on, it blows hot air out the back. The room never cooled down and was unfortunately miserable to sleep in. We didn’t even want to take a hot bath in the beautiful tub. :( also, the staff did not reply to messages through booking.com until it was too late, or not at all. For the price I expected better service.
