Well worth the money, exceeded our expectations!

Very attentive service. Breakfast was wonderful, excellent selection and range of fruits, bread/pastries, eggs, waffles, coffee/tea, chocolates and even a glass (or two) of champagne if wanted. The building is beautiful 16th century with many features retained. Location was in central, historic district 5 minutes walk from the bustling tourist center but on a quiet street, perfect for relaxing when we needed it!

I wouldn't change a thing! It really is the perfect escape for 2-3 nights. We'd love to go back sometime in a quieter season and explore more of the city.

A wonderful break in the centre of Brugge.

The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of things. There was a plentiful bread basket with a choice of breads, croissants and pastries. There was a choice of eggs which included bacon, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms. If you could manage it there was a Belgium waffle and fruit. This was accompanied by a glass of champagne.

We didn’t find anything not to our liking.

If you are coming to Brugge you have to stay here!

From the moment you arrive at Bonifacius, Lyne is the most welcoming host you could wish for, the house is beautiful in everyway, the rooms are well appointed with fantastic bathrooms. Then the breakfast is something else the best we have ever had anywhere. The location cannot be beaten you are 5-10 minutes walk from every attraction and yet when you go back you are tucked away in a quiet loaction away from the crowds.

Such a lovely place in a perfect location. We had a wonderful breakfast looking out over the canal. Lyne was very helpful in recommending restaurants and places to visit. We’ll definitely be back.

A first class experience.

This is a gem. A wonderful boutique hotel with authenticity, history and character located in the heart of Bruges. Lyne is a fantastic host (support by Mia) and provides top-end personalised service. This is a a level of service you’re unlikely to find in a larger hotel. Breakfast was beautifully presented at a time convenient to guests.

The property is ideally situated in the centre of Bruges. The breakfast was amazing and the host Lyme was exceptional in her guidance of what restaurants were good, and what to see during our stay. Very peaceful location, and great roof terrace to enjoy a glass of bubbles!

Warm welcome and a perfect stay in Bruges!

Our host Lynne and her staff were so helpful and welcoming, offering great tips about walking routes and events happening during our stay. The property is in an ideal location and the decor fits the style of building perfectly. Our room was spacious, comfortable and extremely clean and tidy. We particularly enjoyed our breakfasts which were absolutely delicious and presented beautifully! We would recommend Bonifacius to anyone visiting Bruges :)

The manager was attentive and helpful, offering suggestions for dining and sights. Hotel is close to sights and restaurants and shops yet set in on a peaceful street. Delicious breakfast and beautiful views from dining room and from terrace.

Fantastic experience In Bruges

Arguably one of the best breakfast experiences we have ever had. Wonderful atmosphere, very attentive staff and food was excellent quality. Location is prefect, right in the city centre; on the river next to the St Boniface bridge (one of the Brugges highlights). The rooftop balcony gave a great view of the Brugges sights.

Picturesque, relaxing, pampered.

Lynne was an incredible hostess. Very informative warm welcoming and eager to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was exceptional! Not to be rushed.

There is a narrow staircase but they bring up your luggage so it is no problem and the view is exquisite over the canal and the church towers.

Lyne and her team were exceptional! The location is unbelievable 16th century building on the canal, as good as it looks in pictures. Breakfast was amazing, and that meant no need for lunch! Free minibar, champagne on arrival and also served at breakfast. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

The bed was a bit hard, but as antique 4 poster, perhaps that is to be expected.

We spent a very pleasant 2 nights. Very medieval feel which suited the incredible location right on a canal and in shadows on 600 year old buildings. We walked everywhere, even 15 min to the train if you need to! Linn and staff waited on us hand and foot which is absolutely not necessary! We found this to be incredible value

A fittingly beautiful place to stay in beautiful Bruges.

Put simply, we loved everything about our stay. Lyne couldn't do enough for you and was so incredibly warm and hospitable from the minute we arrived. Check in was like no other as we got a full orientation of Brugges and the local sites which proved very helpful. The Room we stayed in was just beautiful and had the most wonderful view of the canal and surrounding buildings. The breakfast was fresh and generous in size and kicked off our days perfectly! Me and my girlfriend simply loved it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family... In fact we already have.

The only(!) tiny (and I mean tiny) problem is that the B&B and it's surroundings are so beautiful, that it is a bit of a tourist hotspot. Crossing the little bridge to get to B&B can bit of a pain as there can be a build of people wanting a photo on the bridge. You just have to be bold and walk through as you'd be there all day if you waited for everyone to get their pictures.

The best hotel experience we’ve had!

Everything about our stay was perfect! Lyne was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make sure our trip exceeded our expectations. The hotel, decor and location are all stunning and the location couldn’t be better. It’s in a really historic part of the city and there are lots of great restaurants, museums, galleries and shops within a short walk, as well as lots of landmarks like the Belfort and Market Square. Our room was really comfy and well equipped. There was a great view onto the cobbled street in front of the hotel and it was really nice hearing the horse drawn carriages come past during the day. The bathroom was also great, with a really nice bath and separate shower. The breakfasts included with our stay were delicious and there was a really good selection! It’s hard to list all of the things that made this stay so special! It’s easily the best hotel experience we’ve had. We can’t wait to stay again!

Everything? What’s there not to like? Staying at this beautiful historical house next to the canal to feed the swans every morning during breakfast? Unbeatable location, great facilities, amazing breakfast and above everything else, Lyne’s unmatchable hospitality. I visited Bruges alone for the first time in 2013, stayed here and loved it. In fact, people can still see my review from 2013 on Booking. Now I’m married and I decided to bring my wife to Bruges, among a few other cities in Europe. I made the reservation at Guesthouse Bonificius first, due to limited availability, only then we built the rest of the 1-month itinerary in Europe around. I think this says it all. I would like to thank Lyne for her wonderful B&B and would highly recommend it to anyone who visits Bruges!

If you stay in the canal suite, it could be a little noisy (not much!) when boat tours cruise past the building in the canal. The tours usually don’t start until ~9-10 am, by which time we are up and out anyway. I’d say this would deduct 0.1 point from the review on a scale of 100. :)
