4 Days "In Bruges"

A beautiful old hotel, well located in the old town. Easy access to all of the points of interest, a good base as everything is only a short walk away. Bruges is a wonderful place to visit for 3 of 4 days, with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, and places to visit. Possibly the cleanest and safest place we've ever been to.

This hotel is in a perfect location, right on the canal with excellent views. Easy walk to everything in Bruges, plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The staff could not be better, there is always help available you need a coffee or a drink, the breakfast is also very good served in the lounge overlooking the canal. This old world hotel looks amazing, we were here for Christmas and they had it looking perfect.

A fairytale experience in a fabulous hotel.

Stunning hotel, beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, with incredibly attentive and friendly staff, in a great location. If you believe Bruges is like being in a fairytale, then the fairytale begins here. From the moment we arrived and received such a warm welcome, we fell in love with this hotel. It is cosy, intimate and yet luxurious. We stayed in room 5 on the ground floor - it felt very private. The room has a door leading to a small (again private) patio area, a massive bed, fabulous shower room, TV and a small fridge. All so clean. We loved that (at any time of day or night) we could ask for coffee/tea to be brought to the room. Toiletries and complimentary slippers are provided and everything had the feel of a 5* stay. We indulged in the lovely breakfast each day - the restaurant is as stunning as the rest of the hotel. We were visiting just before Christmas the festive decorations were a marvel. Sitting beside the open fire with views of the canal through the gabled windows was such a treat. The food options (including freshly-cooked waffles) were plentiful and delicious and, as always, coffee was available whenever requested. When we arrived the very friendly and helpful staff member gave us two maps - one of the city centre, on which they marked the hotel and the main city attractions, and one which showed the route of the Wintergloed, a very well attended night walk where you follow a light path. We did it both nights... incredible. The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from the main square and the Belfry and a minute's walk from the canal and several boat tour outlets (we did the boat tour too - well worth it). All the main attractions of Bruges are literally a short walk away. You are surrounded by cobbled streets, the smell of waffles and chocolate, the sound of clip-clopping hooves from the many horse and carts touring the scenic city, and so many Christmas lights. A fairytale hotel in a fairytale location.

Fantastic location for sightseeing, beautiful hotel, very professional and friendly staff.

The location was excellent- near to all the centre and the attractions and overlooking the canal - we visited especially for Christmas markets. The hotel was beautifully decorated and staff were so accommodating and friendly - could not have been better.

Nice hotel, great city.

I travelled around the places featured in the film In Bruges. The hotel was excellent, but the city, restaurants, and boat tours were packed with tourists — make sure to book in advance. And that was on a Tuesday and Wednesday; I can hardly imagine what it’s like on the weekend. Ken and Ray apparently stayed in room 10 or 11, not 2x.

A perfect luxurious stay in Bruges.

This hotel was a wonderful oasis during our stay in Bruges. Style “old fashioned, elegant”, but with modern amenities. In the heart of the city, but on a side alley, so also quiet. Our room was not large, but worked fine for the two of us. Would have loved to enjoy the large modern bath tub, but never found the time. The staff was excellent. Loved the custom tea service at night. Breakfast, although not included, was delicious - especially the waffles!

A minor issue, but the bathroom mirror was way too high p, so I could only see the top of my head 🙂. Not a problem for my tall husband, though. Perhaps my favorite stay on our trip to Netherlands and Belgium.

Exceptional hotel, in the perfect spot

Best place to stay in Bruges. The hotel is in prime location to the postcard photo spot and less than 2mins walk from the main square. It’s so close that you can pop back to the hotel after shopping and for a pit stop instead of searching for public loos. The hotel room was exceptional. Super comfortable chairs to sit by the window and enjoy watching the boats go by, spacious, has a great bath to warm up in after a cold winter walk. At Christmas the hotel was so well decorated, it felt like a cosy Manor House.
