Nice and cosy with a good location.

No wardrobe available, internet was poor and the difference between check-in (after 16:00) and check-out (before 10:00) was too much in my opinion with no possibility to leave the luggages at the property after check-out.

Shower was a bit small and the shower floor was slippery.

The location in Varenna is excellent. A short walk (2-10mins) to everything you need in Varenna.

There was no air conditioning and only 1 fan for the whole apartment. When it’s 30 degrees outside you need more than 1 fan. Sleeping at night was difficult.

This property is in a prime spot for Varenna, close to the waterfront bars and also town. Varenna is a lovely town and we loved staying here.

The power went off a twice during our stay, however, there were instructions to fix this. We also found the decor quite confusing and naff. I’m not sure why there would be pictures of New York and American style cakes when tourists are coming to Varenna to enjoy Lake Como. Would suggest the owners decorate in a style that celebrates the iconic Italian location the property is in.

Check-in/check-out was seamless. Francesca provided me turn by turn directions from the check-in office, spoke to my Uber driver on the phone when he was having a hard time with his maps. Also, I had 2 last minute taxi cancellations and Francesca called around to arrange a last second taxi back to the airport and met me in town to pick up my keys so I had time to grab one last pastry and say bye to my friends. I read a review that the shower was slippery, but don’t be led astray. It was a normal amount of slippery for a wet surface and the clear glass allowed for a straight view out the window and to the lake. GREAT shower experience. 10/10 Walkable location, beautiful views on the lake, front row views of the town for people watching and troubadour shows, comfy furniture, ample kitchen amenities to cook, secure building, clean. Super close to a couple of yummy restaurants and lakefront bars.

I wish there was a closet to hang my clothes. it wasn’t a problem though. There were drawers and an iron that I used.

The shower was *extremely* small -- acrobatics are needed to take a shower, and be careful that you don't bump the temperature lever while maneuvering in the shower or you will quickly either be scalded or frozen! The shower floor was also very slippery. This is the first time I have ever felt in danger in a shower. Recommend putting a towel on the shower floor to keep from slipping. And speaking of danger: The building is a bit of a fire trap because you need a key to get out of the unit (if you locked it) and then you need another key to get out of the front door (unless you know the location of the secret button that unlocks the front door). Also, the unit is a bit strange in that there are kitchen appliances, but nowhere to plug them. Similarly, there is an ironing board, but no iron. And the kitchen plates are stored in the living room, on a shelf above the sofa. Strange. Apart from all that -- the unit is great because it is in an absolutely fabulous location and is rather spacious. There is a small bathroom and two rooms. The living room is about 3 meters by 6 meters, and the bedroom is about 3 meters by 4 meters.

The staff here are really helpful and friendly. They gave us a book of vouchers for 10% off lots of places in Varenna which was really awesome. They even booked us a taxi. Really recommend these guys. The apartment we rented was super clean and had all the home amenities, fridge, coffee machine (nespresso with pods). Its right across the road from the best restaurant in town and we had 10% off that one with our vouchers too!

Nothing really - our place didn't have a balcony but it had a beautiful view of the lake which made up for it.
