About this apartment rental
The flagship of Casa dell’Arco is the breathtaking view over the Lake Como. Casa dell’Arco is located in the heart of Varenna, a true urban example of the old Italian villages. Except the main street crossing the village, all others are pedestrian stairs ways (contrada) that bring you down to the lake, ideal for children. The apartment is on top of the building, on two floors and outside the living room are two balconies. The interiors are stylish and modern and the apartment has been completely restored in early 2010. The lake is 20 meters far and in 5’ of pleasant walk along the lake you reach the ferry dock. The train station is only 10' far. Close to the apartment are : pharmacy, grocery, butcher, bank, restaurants and bars. Casa dell’Arco is the ideal location to live the unique atmosphere of Varenna that will make your holiday unforgettable.

We loved staying at this property. The location and views are absolutely stunning. I would definitely stay here again. We had 5 adults, my husband and our three children in their 20s and the property was great.

The key reason to stay here is the location. The space is big enough to host 4-5 adults. However, it is not very comfortable, lacks warmth and accommodating guests. It seems a little dirty or dated. We did not have enough pillows, blankets and towels. There are no amenities such as soap and shampoo to shower. The kitchen is relatively supplied with dishes to prepare meals. It would be nice if when arriving, there are essentials such as bottled water, coffee pods, tea and paper products just to settle in. We had to take an Uber to a store at 6:00pm to pick up supplies for our stay. After a long travel day, it would have been nice to just have a few things there to greet us. The furniture is limited and made it hard to sit in the main space and relax. We did enjoy eating around the main dining table and the views across Lake Como. And again, access to town and the ferry is why you stay here. The light in the bathroom was broken and after contacting Luciana, he sent someone to repair it during the stay. He was responsive to questions but it took a few days each time. Not sure we would stay here again.
