Highly recommend this place. Best apartment we have ever stayed at anywhere in Europe. The host/owner Alexa is very responsive on Whatsapp and gave us all the required info in advance of our trip. The evening we reached Varenna it was pouring rain so Alexa kindly offered to pick us up from the train station and drove us to her place. She helped us with the check in and took the time to show us every detail in the apartment. The apartment itself is perfect and very well equipped. The bedroom has a queen bed and a single bed which was perfect for our family of 3. The living area and kitchen had everything we needed and more:
APARTMENT AMENITIES:
- Bathroom slippers for each guest and lots of towels
- Great coffee machine with pods for 2 kinds of coffee and hot chocolate which my son loved. Many tea options and well equipped modern kitchen for cooking.
- Complimentary welcome drinks and water bottles in the fridge.
- Detergent pods provided for using the washing machine and dishwasher onsite. There is also a Laundry within a 5 mins walk if you want to do bigger washing loads and need dryers.
- Toys for little kids
- Beach mats and towels available to use for free
- Small patio outside room
- Airconditioning in both rooms
- Blackout blinds in bedroom
- Good sized closet with safe
- Modern bathroom with hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, and make-up wipes, hair dryer
- Booklet with all info one might need from booking taxis to tour options and all Villas in the area and ferry schedule
- EXCELLENT LOCATION - Super close to everything. 20 mins walk or 5 mins drive from train station to apartment. 2 mins to Villa Monestera and Villa Cipressi. Steps to Lovers walk and restaurants and shops along the waterfront. 10 min walk to ferry terminal. Takeout pizza place right across. Steps to main piazza which has a fantastic bakery and restaurants. Alexa runs a getalo store in the piazza which I highly recommend!!! Amazing gelato and other treats.
