Lovely place, great location, amazing host

Alessandra was a fantastic host, very helpful, she left a folder full of information about Varenna and Lake Como. The apartment is lovely and in a great location - 10 minutes walk from the ferry terminal, train station and all of the restaurants etc.

Awesome place when visiting Varenna. Great location and host Alexa was super friendly & helpful.

Due to arrival issues - host Alexa was superb and showed us through the appartment giving us all the instructions on the place and how to get inside. She also told us about local restaurants to go to and about a concert that was happening while we were there. Also provided options for leaving as there had been a slip causing issues with the train service.

Excellent family friendly place to stay.

Excellent host. Was able to help us especially since we travelled with a toddler. Would strongly recommend this place, in particular families.

You do have to go up some steep stairs to get to the place. For those with wheelchair or in our case, stroller, it can be challenging but not impossible.

The location was perfect, close to the main square, ferry and restaurants. The apartment is bright, very clean and the bathroom is modern. Thoughtful touches throughout and the host is extremely friendly, helpful and very responsive to questions. A great find!

A beautiful apartment, our host Alessandra was fantastic - very kind and helpful. She recommended Bon Bon, which is a gelato shop very close to the apartment. Best gelato in Italy! The apartment had everything we needed, great location on the square, very clean and well equipped, we could not fault the apartment at all.

Amazing service, a beautiful, very modern house. Highly recommended place to stay!

We loved everything! The host took care of us from the moment we arrived until the last day of our stay and was helpful in so many ways – from waiting for us on the piazza after check-in hours (since we were a bit late), to walking us through every detail of the house, garage, and town, suggesting places to visit and eat, and even providing a map and ferry schedule! When I reported a small issue (the bathroom lock wasn’t working properly), she came over within 5 minutes to check, and it was fixed within the hour – amazing service. A beautiful, very modern house! Highly recommended place to stay!

Amazing place to stay in Varenna

We really enjoyed our stay in Blue House Varenna. The apartment is really lovely and cosy. As a family of 5 persons we had everything we needed for a comfortable 5 days stay, even beach towels and beach loungers. Alessandra is an amazing and really welcoming host!

Alessandra was an amazing Host, She ended up meeting us at the train station, dropped us at the apartment, and then ran through all of the features in the apartment. She has thought of everything. Cannot recommend this beautiful apartment enough.

We had a great stay in Blue house Varenna. Lake Como was spectacular.

The location was great. The B&B was clean comfortable and nicely appointed.

We could have done with an extra bath room as there were 4 of us. City tax information was incorrect, therefore we paid more than expected.

Great apartment located in the heart of Varenna. Very friendly and responsive host

Our host met us as soon as we arrived, walked us in to the apartment, and gave us an overview of the apartment and the town. Later during our visit, she let us know of a train strike that would affect our plans for departure and travel to our next destination. She gave us information on how to handle our train reservations. Had she not contacted us, we may have been delayed by at least a day, if not longer!

Unmatchable experience!

everything was so great, the second we stepped in the property we felt how cozy and nice it was! Loved the bathroom - it was so bright and tidy, and the bed was so comfortable to sleep in. Absolutely loved the coffee machine! Alexandra welcomed us and gave us everything we needed to know about the property and also many useful touristy information about Varenna! Was such an unforgettable experience would definitely book it again if we were to return to Varenna!

This is a minor issue, but my girlfriend and I like to sleep in til midday and the soundproof isn’t particularly the best, we could hear people upstairs chatting and moving furniture around. But other than that everything was impeccable!

A fabulous location with an extremely friendly host .

Short walk to piazza , markets and free beach . The train stay was about a 15 min walk , easily done even though a little uphill. We stayed in the Joy suite for 5 nights and it had Everything you could possibly need . Complimentary beer, coffee when we arrived. It is a clean , modern one bed apartment . I would highly recommend ! Alessandra was an excellent host providing us with so much information to make our holiday hassle free. It was a great base to visit the other villages by ferry .

Clean and comfortable with a lovely host.

The apartment is beautifully designed and outstandigly clean and comfortable. The location is perfect, as it is ~50 meters from the main square, where there are several restaurants, small grocery stores, and bakeries. The host is unbelievably nice, and I'm not exaggarating! We received very clear instructions regarding everything about the accomodation, many tips about the sights and restaurants in Varenna, and even welcome prosecco and drinks! She very kindly helped us with other things as well. We had everything we needed in the apartment. Overall, we couldn't be more satisfied. We'll be back for sure!

Lovely stay, great location with a helpful friendly host,

Great location… literally steps from main square and to stairs leading down to the water. Host met us when we arrived. She was in contact with info prior yo our arrival and arranged a taxi for us from The station as we had suitcases. She also made a restaurant booking for us & another taxi booking. The washing machine was great too!

There are some very steep stairs leading to the apartment- not as many as other places but they are challenging to carry suitcases up. Host helped us! Mosquitoes in the courtyard area so bring repellent.

The Blue House, Varenna was in an excellent location, near restaurants and centrally located. The hostess, Alexandra was super helpful, keeping in touch with during our transfer to Varenna, which was slightly more difficult due to the weather. She gave us lots of information and recommendations about good restaurants, and there was a helpful information pack in the apartment about what trips and excursions to do. The apartment was also very well equipped for all our needs.

If I could spend a summer at this property I would. The bed was great, the host was responsive.

Spacious clean modern apartment with everything thoughtfully designed and laid out. The most comfortable bed in Italy! The windows were excellent at keeping the noise out too. The host was exceptional at addressing all of our needs. Located in the central square of town, steps from everything, shops, restaurants, church, wine shop, the lake, villas to visit. 5 min walk to the ferry along the lake. Washing machine available.

Not handicap accessible - neither is most of the town. The town is mostly cobblestones and either up or down hill. If stairs are an issue this is not the property for you as it would not be accessible.

Highly recommended

This clean, comfortable apartment is perfectly situated for convenient walking access to all of the main attractions in Varenna, including the restaurants and shops in the town. Allesandra, our host, met us when we arrived to provide all of the access info and a very thorough orientation, including her recommendations for restaurants. We appreciated being able to wash our clothes. The area is safe and quiet. Be prepared for lots of steps to get to the apartment and anywhere in Varenna. :) If you're arriving by train, especially at night, it might be simpler to arrived by taxi, which we did.

A fantastic apartment in a brilliant location

This apartment was exceptional. Alessadra was a pleasure to deal with. She met us at the apartment and explained everything to us. The apartment is in a great area, just metres from a supermarket and restaurants. The kitchen was brilliant and so were the living areas. I would definitely stay there again

This made our honeymoon extra special!

We stayed for honeymoon and me and my wife absolutely loved this place! The location is amazing, facilities are great and the hot tub just completes it all! Alessandra was an amazing host also, answering all our questions and taking us through everything we needed in order to make our stay extra special. Would definitely recommend this for all, the perfect place if you are visiting Varenna.
