Wonderful apartment on beautiful Lake Como

Wonderful stay in Varenna which was a perfect base for our Lake Como holiday. Antonio was a great host and provided us with very useful information before and during our trip. A stunning view from the balcony and one evening we just enjoyed cheeses, salami and wine from the local deli for dinner on the balcony. We loved our early morning walks and evening strolls when the town was much quieter and the ferry was only a short walk which took us to some amazing spots on the other side of the lake. The Greenway del Lago di Como walk was a highlight.

Casa Bella is bella

Location Location!! Clean, well equipped owner was hands on to get us settled. AC worked! Lots of stairs so if not really mobile not the place to stay maybe. Great restaurants in Varenna but kitchen was fully equipped . Washing machine was great..no dryer but rack available.Hope we will get to repeat this experience... thank you Giorgio

The most amazing view from balcony

The location could not be better. The apartment was large and comfortable, we had the most incredible balcony with a view of the lake. If I return to Como I would for sure stay there again

Fantastic apartment in a stunning location and excellent position beside the lake. The views from the balcony are magnificent. The apartment is by the lake in the heart of Varenna so it is close to everything.

The best view in Varenna. Sunsets overlooking the lake were priceless.

Lorena met us in the Piazza to show us around town, around the apartment, and how to use everything. She was thorough and gracious. If we could add a + to the host score we would.

Cute apartment in a great location

The location of the apartment is great - a short walk to most of the restaurants and the square. The view of the lake from the balcony is breathtaking. Alberto and his father Giorgio were great hosts.

Shabby apartment in a good location.

Great location for the ferry port and town. Balcony was nice to have but small. Free transfer to and from the station was brilliant. Alberto was very kind to us.

The apartment is very old and shabby. The bath looked about 40 years old, was stained. The settee was worn out all over. The balcony is small and the table has so many chips in it you could hardly put a plate on it and it was sharp and dangerous. The kitchen was old. The kitchen sink tap leaked so much that no hot water come through so I had to boil a kettle to wash up. No body wash supplied, the bottle on the wall was empty, 2 tiny bars of soap for us. Wi-fi was not good.

Absolutely incredible lake front apartment with terrific views in the heart of Varenna.

Incredible location. Right on the lake in the Varenna - best place to stay on Lake Como. We sat on the balcony every day and looked straight out to the lake. Super helpful owner. Giorgio went out of his way to help us when we got stranded by a rail strike.

What’s not to love about Lake Como and Varenna :-)

Beautiful location especially if you want a view of the lake. Appreciated being picked up at the station.

Host did not forewarn us about ongoing construction in the building which created a lot of noise (hammer drill etc) during the afternoons. WiFi was very intermittent. Limited tableware (only one coffee mug for instance).

Every visitor to Varenna can only dream of such a good location

location location location, it doesn’t get better in Varenna. View was great and you are in the middle of great restaurants and shops, about ten minutes walk from the train station.

shower was a bit old, although water pressure and temp was good. Bed was just adequate.

Fabulous stay in an amazing location.

Pick up from the train station was very much appreciated. Very friendly. Welcome bottle of red wine on arrival. Amazing location. Fabulous view from the balcony. Easy walk to ferry terminal. Washing machine was a bonus on a long trip. Luggage storage on checkout was also very welcome.

A little concerned about the gas bottle in the kitchen cupboard.

Great location, amazing view

Host is very friendly and responsive, and picked us up from the station when we arrived. Location is fantastic - right on the water and surrounded by restaurants and shops. Within walking distance to the station, ferry terminal and all the major sights. The view from the balcony is AMAZING.

No airccon. The standing fan provided is very noisy which meant we couldn't use it at night.

The bathroom / toilet was not very clean, with some mold around the bath. Rest of apartment was a bit dirty in a few places, but nothing too bad. This was the only reason not to give it 10/10, as everything else was fantastic.

really lovely stay just could have been wonderful which is a shame.

stunning location, a lovely old building right on the seafront, not too far from the ferry and railway station. sitting on the balcony in the evening looking over the lake was wonderful.

although we are both more than happy with a traditional style B and B compared to a modern contemporary set up, some of the decor needed a little tlc especially the bathroom. although we appreciate it is an old building it does not excuse some of the fixtures and fittings.

Absolutely magical

Host met us at the train station and drove us to the apartment which was such a great introduction. The apartment is one floor up from the pedestrian path but it was never loud. Views were remarkable and we spent most of our time on the balcony soaking it all in. Apartment was very spacious, contained cooking supplies, and water pressure in the shower was excellent. We will be recommending Casa Bella to all our friends and family.

Shower is within a bathtub, so some may have trouble with entry.

The apartment is beautiful! It’s perfect for two people and has an amazing view! The apartment has a lot of personal touches that made it feel like home. It also has a full kitchen which would be great for longer stays. Giorgio and Alberto are very kind and provided us with some great tips on where to eat and what to see in the area. We thank them for our amazing trip!

Excellent location, cute apartment right next to lake como with a lot of good restaurants step away. View from the balcony is unbelievable. Do not miss the sun set view from the apartment. So close to lake and strategically positioned to enjoy the whole of lake Como with easy access to ferry and train station. A great holiday and both Luigi and George were so helpful, thoughtful and exceptional hosts.

Incredible service, great room, amazing views.

Luigi and his team offered extraordinary service. I had to book urgently on New Year's Day after a terrible experience elsewhere in Varenna. Luigi drove to meet me on his holiday, and arranged for my room to be available at the last minute. The room is warm, spacious and comfortable, and the view is amazing. Thank you Luigi and team for a wonderful stay.

Vistas al lago impresionantes

Ubicación privilegiada. Vistas increíbles. La cama y el sofá cama muy cómodos. Buena comunicación con la anfitriona antes de llegar. Nos indicó con precisión cómo llegar y nos estaba esperando en la puerta para entregarnos las llaves.

El balcón es muy pequeño. Para dos personas. Tres apenas cabíamos y tuvimos que hacer carambolas con un taburete para desayunar ya que queríamos disfrutar de las vistas. La mesa es muy pequeña y totalmente rota (pongo una foto de la mesa) (no me queje a la dueña por lo tanto no puedo valorar si la hubiera repuesto) El cuarto de baño necesita reformas, no hay un perchero para la toalla de mano. El grifo de la cocina no tiene nada de presión, lo que resultaba engorroso para limpiar. No había escoba ni fregona (cierto es que no lo pedí).
