The property was recently remodeled with updated furnishings and appliances. The layout was very nice with privacy for the bedroom. The bathroom was very nice with a deluxe shower.
We didn’t find anything to dislike. Two sets of keys would have been nice to allow partners to move about Varenna separately if desired.

Perfect location surrounded by all the shops. Short walk to train station (be mindful that it’s up a hill at some points but you’re 100% gonna get that no matter where you stay here) super clean space and the staff is helpful. We’d definitely stay here again

Stayed for 3 nights. The staff were helpful and polite, provided excellent instructions to reach the property.
The property was clean with enough bed linen, crockery, cutlery & cooking utensils in the cupboards. The property has AC units & 2 TVs which were a blessing in the summer & with youngsters. . The property is very close to the Piazza with so many restaurants & cafes. The walk to the lake is approx 5 min with easy access to the ferry. Would surely stay again!
Minor issues really - it would be nice to have a small provision of Salt, pepper, sugar +/- small bottle of olive oil in the cupboard. (if you are staying for 2-3 days, then it's a headache going around shopping for these).
There is no washing machine in the property. Although this should be looked into as there is a spare room off the kitchen which could be used as a larder or to place a washing machine. There is a laundromat next door to the property which wasn't working.
The access to the property may not be easy for older people as it is on an elevation with narrow cobblestone steps & alley ways .. Just so you know.
On the day of the checkout, the cleaner just opened the door with the duplicate key without knocking on the door first.
But overall it was just a wonderful holiday! 🙂

Great location. The owners have put a lot of thought into it and has been recently refurbished.
The air-conditioning was brand new but was unusually louder than normal. It did not bother us but might be an issue for some.
