Great location with lake views and sunny terrace for breakfast.

Fabulous location and great to have garden and also area to sunbathe with fantastic view of Lake Como

Internally the property is fine but would benefit from some updating including new towels ( current ones are very thin). Also our bed had all sorts of bits and pieces under it which I’d have expected to have been moved. As the apartment is for 3, it really needs a 3rd sunbathing chair - we requested one but were told none were available.

Great location with a view of Lake Como from outdoor terrace

Excellent and easy to find with the stuff at the main office. Very private and quiet with a terrace to sit outside and enjoy the view of Lake Como. We enjoyed having the kitchen to prepare our own breakfasts.

This is the top floor of building so had to be careful not to bump our heads on the slope ceilings too much. Tub with flexible, shower attachment, and low overhead ceilings is a bit awkward but worth the trade off for the lovely place.

Great location for families

Location was fantastic, especially if you have a small child, minutes away from the playground, ferry port, train station and restaurants in Varenna. The bed was comfortable, facilities were decent enough and the staff were very helpful when we needed them. Excellent value for money especially when compared to other properties.

The garden area could have done with being tidied up a bit. Also feel like the interior furniture was very dated and the sofa was uncomfortable. Luckily enough we had no need to use the second bedroom as our little one still uses a cot but the bed in the second bedroom was very basic and dated. We did have a small issue with our hot water but this was resolved quickly.

Converted garret in good position

The flat is well located, quiet, convenient for boats, trains and the town. It has a pleasant little garden with views of the lake.

There are several problems with this property. 1. It is a converted garret, so a person of normal height cannot stand up in about a third part of the rooms — this includes kitchen and bathroom. The only windows are Velux in the roof, so there are NO views out from the property at all , only from the garden. 2. The only shower is a handheld one in the bath. However, the ceiling over the bath is so low than one cannot stand up, so it is impossible to have a standing shower. 3. There is no ventilation in the bathroom, which I would have thought would be against building regulations. 4. It should be made clear that anyone with mobility problems will have difficulties accessing this flat— although this applies to all of Varenna! — down the steep entry steps. 5. The furniture is of varying quality. The bed light in the smaller bedroom was broken on our arrival, reported, but not repaired over our 9 day stay.

Enjoyed my stay.

I loved Varenna and location was good - great for trains and ferry to Menaggio/Bellagio and Como. Apartment was spacious and very clean. It was well equipped.

Key was sellotaped to office window nearby - yet there was a charge of 50 Euro for out of hours access. The access stairs to Varenna Garden are steep and dark and overgrown. No view of the lake from apartment.

Pleasant

Location was great - close to ferry and train station. Quiet. Pleasant outdoor space with nice view of the water and sunset.

Basic amenities were insufficient. The Wi-Fi was very spotty and really only worked one out of four days (there was an additional charge for it) 3 tablespoons of instant coffee and one roll of toilet paper. We had to request more toilet paper (small market nearby had limited hours). Not very flexible on check-in and checkout times. However, the friendly agent was managing many other properties at the same time. Relatively high cleaning charge.

Trochę to miejsce trąci myszką. Niby jest wszystko czego potrzeba w apartamencie ale wymagałoby odświeżenia. Skrzypiące, ruszające się łóżka, unoszący się zapach stęchlizny w deszczowe dni zabierają urok.
