Great location needs some tlc

Location great, close to ferry and train station and very walkable location to sights and restaurants. Reasonably clean and comfortable.

Needs some repairs (toilet seat broken,shower rod falling apart, electric kettle leaks leaks, toilet paper holder broken) only one set of towels per person for 4 days. No paper towels. Up 2 flights of stairs, no elevator

Perfect location and stay in the best village on Lake Como

The apartment is in a perfect location, just outside the bustle of Varenna but you can easily get there in a few minutes. If you’re arriving late it’s ideal because it’s only 5 mins from Varenna train station. It’s very spacious and a really lovely spot.

Sometimes the pipes can be quite loud because the building is old, but it’s only for a few minutes at a time - really not a deal breaker though.

We were all frustrated because we could not understand the parking and still do not know how to pay.

The location was very good. The apt. was clean, comfortable, and spacious.

There were two problems. First, there was no air conditioning in this severe heat. There were two fans. Thank you. But I do not recommend this place for seniors who need AC. Second problem. It was very difficult to park our car. The owners said to park at the train station. We did, but got a 60 euro parking ticket. We tried to pay it online but the computer wanted a Vat. number. We talked to police but they could not help. This caused a lot of stress for us. Do not come here with a car at any time of year. Train would work.

Great location but apartment needs some tlc

Great location close to the train station, ferry port and cafes. Spacious apartment with a view of the lake. It was lovely to have the balcony and we enjoyed eating there. Varenna is beautiful and we were very happy to have chosen it as our base for the week.

The apartment would benefit from a refresh, it is quite worn and not especially clean in places. We had issues with several of the fixtures - shower, curtain pole, door handle. We felt that these could be easily remedied with a little time and effort.

Fantastic stay

Fabulous apartment! Picturesque views around! Highly recommended! Location is superb- everything is so close (train station just 5 min walk, boat station 2 min walk, shops,restaurants are around). Price is reasonable. Facilities in the apartment are comfortable! Definitely we want to come back!

Great location for a very reasonable price.

The listing is very misleading. There is no parking at the property. You have to park up the hill in the station, which is €18 for 24 hours I think. But it’s not far and the property is reasonably priced so it all evens out! The kitchen facilities are rather basic and the socket for the kettle/toaster doesn’t work so we needed to boil water and make toast via a floor socket. More glasses would be good and a better selection of utensils and cooking stuff are needed too.

Accessing the self check in was confusing Requires some maintenance, for example only half a curtain in the double bedroom, bedside lamps did not work, all power points appeared dodgy with poor fitting plugs and adaptors

Verenna is lovely you wont regret visiting

The location of the property was perfect ,easy access to the town and lake.

The apartment is very tired the kitchen was not clean and inside some of the cupboards was grubby .the Fridge had been replaced but the old one was still in situ but was filthy .the shower control was falling away from the wall .As i said very tired and in need of a refurb .The balcony you see in the pictures is round the back .a lake view is stretching it a bit

In apartament was everythnig you need (fidge, potem, fire pan event shopping bag. Close to everywhere. Hope this apartmemt will be avaible time I decide go back there with my kids.

In october is quit cold in the night, so blankiet was not enought to cover yourself during the night.

Varenna is wonderful.

Fabulous location. Lovely view from dining table. Very comfortable bed. There are 2 sinks. One in the bathroom and a separate one just outside bathroom which is great if there are 2 or more guests as it allows someone to be showering with doors closed while someone else can use the other sink and mirror. The lock box is a great idea, however, there is no name tag to identify it despite instructions saying there is. It is the top box.

I was disappointed there were no coffee or tea supplies/ sachets when I arrived. After a long trip to get there, just one would have been nice. For some reason kettle and toaster plugs didnt fit sockets in kitchen. Adapters are in drawer in lounge.

really beautifully decorated, spacious and bright. perfect location and all things there that are needed to spend a few days. Carolina is very very nice and communication was always super and friendly.

the only thing we were missing would have been a kitchen towel, so just pack one if you plan to stay for a few days. parking is not so easy as carparks only allow a maximum of 2-8 hours, and in general, parking in Varenna, especially on weekends is a challenge. maybe for the apartment a residency card would be great, so the spaces opposite the flat ( yellow borders) could be used as well… great advantage though s the proximity to the train station

Fell short of expectations but still enjoyed our stay.

The apartment was roomy, well laid out, cute decor. Location was a short walk from the train station. Access was secure and felt like a safe area. Use of the washing machine was so helpful!

The floors had not been cleaned and I swept up a pile of crumbs, hair, and dirt. I did message the owner and sent a photo. The street was busy with loud traffic into the night. It was hot weather and would have appreciated a few fans to move air. Kitchen could use a few more amenities, especially a few towels and the fridge needed cleaning.

The apartment was easy to find, and the location was great. The building was in good condition. The self check in instructions worked fine, and the host was good with communication.

Wi-Fi NEVER worked. The host tried to help, but nothing happened and we needed it, so quite an inconvenience. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable, and the kitchen was not well-stocked with items.

- Wifi was not working - cleanliness: I had to vacuum clean the apartment after our arrival, not dirty but dusty, Dishes were not cleaned properly (no dishwasher) - End of October: still only blankets, no thick duvets, not a single carpet, so our children had to sit and play on towels on the Floor - sofa was not prepared even though we asked for it to be prepared

Perfect Apartment in Varenna

Location.

Carolina is an excellent host! She provided great communication before and during our stay. Her apartment is located near the train station and the ferry. The apartment will easily accommodate up to 4 people. For the past reviews that complained about the refrigerator - Carolina replaced it! Look no further if this unit is available for your dates, book it!

Good location, large in size

Vakkert, fint, sentrumsnært, avslappende.

Det var en stor å fin leilighet passe til en familie. Fint at det var kjøkken der slik at vi kunne ha mulighet til å lage mat hjemme. Leiligheten ligger rett ved sentrum og du kan gå til en strand rett nedenfor noe som er veldig fint på en varm dag. At det var mulighet for å kunne vaske klærne sine der var også veldig fint. Vi koste oss masse under oppholdet i denne leiligheten. Anbefaler sterkt å leie denne. Utleieren er behjelpelig og hyggelig og snakke med.

Litt lite med kopper og tallerkner om man er flere enn 5 som er der. Fant ikke noe vifte på varme kvelder som kunne kjøle oss ned. Var sølvkre utenfor på verandaen, men var insektsspray der så jeg fikk koll på problemet. Kunne kanskje vert en parkeringsplass tilhørende til leiligheta når man kommer med bil.
