We hope to visit again some day. We were only there for two nights and it was far too short.

The location of Villa Monti was perfect for my family of four, as well as our two friends that traveled with us and stayed in a separate room. Christian was amazing, friendly, attentive and was able to arrange for an amazing last minute boat rental for us, as well as recommend a fantastic restaurant that we reserved for our last night. We felt so safe at Villa Monti and Varenna as a whole. Our two bedroom apartment was perfect for our family of four, spacious, clean, and had a gorgeous window in the kitchen/living space with a view of the lake.

There wasn't really anything I could say that was a dislike about the property.

Good location Terrific staff. Stairs were a killer.

Staff were beyond excellent. However I was not expecting a top floor apartment, or the the low beams criss crossing the property. View was excellent but you had to stand to see out the window. The 97 stairs were just too much. Would stay again in an apartment on the ground floor.

2nd bathroom didn’t really have a functional shower. Was advertised as two full bathrooms. Living room couch and decor disappointing. Didn’t flow with other rooms. A lot of stairs and no elevator.

The property was in a great location, easy walking distance to the town square. Villa Monti was fantastic with amazing views over Lake Como and beautiful gardens.

A once in a lifetime Italian villa fantasy!

Fairytale location overlooking Lake Como, from the villa tower “crows nest”. Spacious and modern design inside an old historic villa. Exceptional host, Christian, made sure we had everything we needed. It was a twelve star experience!

No elevator. Christian carried our bags. But lots of stairs for the enchanting experience (we are seniors)

Loved Varenna.

The meet and greet was excellent. MG took us through all the details and gave us excellent information about Lake Como. The residents is absolutely beautiful although we were disappointed we couldn’t have a balcony or a view we just sit back too. Also, the large, beams were in a very awkward spot. Would I stay there again. I would, now I know the rooms situation.

We very much enjoyed our time at Villa Monti, would suggest it to friends.

The villa was exceptional. We enjoyed the short walk to town, the view and the pool. The facility was awesome. I did think the bed was a little uncomfortable for me to get a good’s nights sleep. The best part of our stay was having Christian to help navigate our reservations. I absolutely think that our days were more fun thanks to his advice and help. I would feel secure staying again knowing that Christian would be there to help make the most of our time on the lake.

A sweet little getaway.

Loved the location ( a bit away from the crowds), the pool area was the perfect spot for breakfast and afternoon snacks overlooking the lake! Incredible view. My friend’s daughters thoroughly enjoy the pool. The pool was quite small but perfect for an afternoon swim. Christian was a lovely host.

I didn’t love our apartment. There was little natural light and the lighting at night was a bit blinding/ fluorescent. We mainly stayed outside in the pool area.

The best lake views in Varenna!

The Villa is spectacular, our apartment had the most incredible view, the kitchenette was perfect and we had a 360 degree view of the lake, the pool area was beautiful and quiet. The location could not be better, 5 minutes walk from the city center. Highly recommend.

We loved our time in Varenna staying at Villa Monti.

We loved everything about our stay. The property is beautiful and clean all the facilities were great. The host MG was amazing and helpful and gave us heaps of information on what to do and where to go. The location was great a short walk from the shops.

There was a kitchenette with coffee and tea , pots and pans and plates and utensils if one wanted to cook.

Beautiful villa, but difficult to get to for people who cannot climb steps and for older people. We had a sofa bed in our room which was very uncomfortable to sleep in. Specially for the price we paid. Needs to be replaced with a regular bed.

Stunning views and great location!

Amazing location with incredible views and lovely garden!! The host was available to answer questions or assist whenever needed and insisted on carrying our bags to and from the front gate, which involves a lot of stairs. Located close to Villa Monastri and just a short walk to the town square, which was never too crowded, despite the close proximity to the chaotic, tourist filled waterfront around the nearby ferry port. I’m so glad I chose to stay in Varenna rather than Bellagio or Menaggio and Villa Monti was the perfect place to do it!

Bed pillows were too thin and firm but that’s really the only negative thing I can think of. Overall great place to stay.

Charming villa with great views

MG was a really friendly host. He helped us to suggest restaurants in Varenna and arrange bookings. The place was clean and the room was well stocked. It has a great view overlooking Villa Monastero and the lake. We stayed two nights and would stay again.

Other than I don’t really like foldable sofa beds, and that the villa is a bit far from the train station, nothing much.

Friendly and spacious with gorgeous views in Varenna

Excellent property with incredible lake views. Christian, the host went out of his way to welcome us and help us with any questions as well as provide helpful suggestions to navigate the area. Beds were not the most comfortable and shower is a bit small but overall would highly recommend and stay at Villa Monti again.

We stayed in the Geranium Suite, which had the absolute most stunning views. Nick met us at reception and helped us with our (many and very heavy) bags up to the suite and was friendly, kind, and welcoming. This was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed and we appreciated the hospitality and friendliness of the staff as well.

A perfect villa perched up a hill overlooking magnificent Lake Como with bright cheerful decor!

The property is stunning with windows looking out over Lake Como and a special view of the church in the center of Varenna. We loved the location, appreciating it was so close to the lake and center yet far enough away from tourists to feel like locals in this gorgeous town. The villa is so spacious, a contemporary kitchen to prepare beautiful Italian meals on a rainy day, a large soaking tub I relaxed in daily and so wonderfully decorated in bright colors. We loved everything about this special place including the gracious suggestions and reservations made for us by Christian. We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you Villa Monti for a magnificent stay in Violet!

We stayed in multiple places around Lake Como and this was our favorite by far.

The property was beautiful with the most incredible view. but the best part of our stay where the staff running it. Christian and Nick were the absolute best hosts they helped us with everything from getting the bags to the room, reservations for dinner, taxis, telling us the good places to go on Lake Como etc. I cannot say enough great things about them in the property if you stay there you absolutely will not regret it! can’t wait to go back!
