This house has a great location but needs some inside approvements.

We liked the location directly on the lake.

There is no handrail on the treacherous staircase inside. Also, there is not adequate lighting inside. Needs more lighting. Needs to offer a service to help get luggage from the train station down the steep steps and alleyways to the house.

It’s a bit difficult to get to the property because there are many steps to walk down to get to the front door, and if you have heavy luggage it can be a challenge.

Wonderful place to stay if you're relatively fit.

Location was beautiful although a quite difficult to get to due to so many stone stairs. The apartment was lovely.

There were too few tables to set things on. There was nothing in the bedrooms or bathrooms to set eyeglasses or water bottles or toiletries in the showers. Restaurants were plentiful and nearby.

This is a beautiful home in Varenna but is very uncomfortable in the summer heat.

The house is beautiful and it is in a perfect location on the water front of Varenna.

The house is unbearably hot and it’s temperature does not go below 86 degrees. They provided 6 fans but only 2 could be used on the main floor due to the outlets. The washer and dryer are a combined unit and the dryer does not work - we left with wet clothes. The power frequently goes out despite not running any of the kitchen appliances. We could not work the coffee maker - no directions were provided.

Amazing house just at the lake!

We liked everything, very nice house, just in front of the lake, completely renovated, enough space for 8 people, beautiful view from the main bedroom and balconies. Very Close to restaurants and bars. 100% recommended. We will back for sure!!

Fabulous stay in the most beautiful little village on Lake Como. Everything was just perfect!

Elizabeth House was by far the best place I've ever stayed on any holiday. Sitting on that balcony overlooking Lake Como, glass of wine in hand, watching the boats, sunset, and listening to the jazz band at the nearby restaurant - sheer bliss!!! We'll be back.

Loved every minute we spent in Elizabeth House . Would go back in a heart beat

Elizabeth House is in a brilliant location , right on the lake in Varenna. A fantastic house that accommodated my husband and I and our 3 adult children. We utilised the sofa bed in the living room and it was very comfortable according to my son ! 2 full bathrooms is a bonus with 5 adults. Lots of restaurants within walking distance as was the ferry and the train station . Beware of having too much luggage however ( as we did ! ) as there are plenty of very steep steps getting to the house as there are inside the house .

Nothing we did't really like !! A word of warning though that this house definitely would not be suitable for young children or toddlers as there are very steep stairs and no rails ! There are no mini supermarkets really in Varenna . If you are staying any great length of time a taxi to nearby supermarket might be in order.
