Super comfortable stay with incredible views!! Luigi met us at the apartment to go over helpful information and his recommendations were very useful. Super nice and friendly man and very responsive to messages. The apartment was clean, the a/c worked beautifully, wifi connection was excellent, shower was great and beds were very comfortable. Location was superb. Steps away from numerous restaurants. About a 12-15 min walk to train station, even shorter to ferry. Depending on the path you take to get to the place, there's a good amount of stairs you need to climb, which was quite a workout with suitcases (all of Varenna includes stairs though). The apartment is also on the top floor so that's several more flights of stairs. We had no issue with this but might be important for someone less physically able. Overall, a wonderful stay and that view is magical.

We liked everything. Shampoo and conditioner would've been a nice touch but there was plenty of shower gel/soap.

Location, cleanliness, and view.

Unlocking the door could be tricky at times. Certain way you have to jiggle it as you put the key in. Once you figure that out, you will be good!

This apartment located in and old building is beautifully renovated and sits in the middle of Varenna, close to terraces where you can have a peaceful coffee in the morning chatting with the locals, on the way back picking up fresh baguette and milk. It is also steps away from many restaurants and bars where you can enjoy excellent food late in the evening after the tons of daytime tourists are leaving the town. One can park the car in rge garage situated at the ground floor of the building. But the best thing about this apartment is the window and its windowsill in the kitchen: we spent hours relaxing on the spot, morning and evening, watching the boats sailing on lake Como, the sun going down behind the mountain or just reading. The stay in this apartment was the most relaxing part of our Italian trip. The host Luigi is extremely friendly, he greeted us at the arrival and gave us excellent reconfirming dinning. The restaurant Il Cavallino located close to the ferry station (also 5min away from the apartment) had exquisite food and wines at a very reasonable price.

Excellent communication from the host. Luigi met me at the property and was very helpful in explaining the facilities and provided some useful tips regarding local restaurants. The property really does have a wow factor, is modern throughout and has a magnificent view from the large picture window.

Poor water pressure in the shower and bad smell in the bathroom. There seems to be a drainage issue at the property which made the bathroom smell of sewage (possibly coming from the shower drain). This has to be a known issue and was not mentioned to us on arrival. The smell became quite bad and prevented us from using the shower. A real shame considering the high price of the property.
