3 days of beautiful views

Location was the main attraction of this stay, very secure and beautiful views of the lake. The host met us at the train station which was amazing as we would've found it hard to find the property

Apartment is very outdated and do with a refurb. Beds were not very comfortable

On the whole was a great holiday. Accommodation ok for short stay and if you were out most of the

Location was good. Very central to all amenities.

The property needs an upgrade. Shower doors did not meet so water went everywhere. Electric socket hanging off of the wall. Outdoor seating was a bench. And other facilities that were mentioned in welcome folder (ie table tennis and extra chairs) were in a locked storage room.

A perfect stay in Varenna with wonderful hosts

The hosts Alberto and Georgio went out of their way to make us comfortable. Alberto was waiting for us when we arrived, and helped us carry our luggage to the apartment. Georgio and Alberto were incredibly helpful in helping us communicate with Air Italia, when our baggage did not arrive with us in Milan. Alberto helped us by speaking to Air Italia in Italian, and Georgio was indispensable in helping coordinate the drop-off when it was driven to Varenna the next day. Georgio also gave us a personal tour of the town, and made reservations for us at the two very best restaurants in town. He gave us a bottle of wine upon our arrival. Georgio knows everyone in town, and is charming. The apartment is in a perfect location in Varenna. It is right on the water, with a private terrace that provides a quiet and exclusive place to enjoy the lake. Thank you Georgio and Alberto!

We loved it.

The location is amazing. It was clean & neat. The host was lovely.

It is a long walk from the train station with sections of cobblestones & many stairs if you take the wrong route. Not suitable for heavy suitcases. Ensure you can pre-book one of the only 2 taxi’s that serve the area. They were unavailable on the morning we arrived.

Perfect Vernazza stay with lakefront view!

Host Alberto met us at the train station and drove us to the property. What a gem! Gated historic lakefront villa with private gardens and lakefront patio/promenade in the old town. Off main square and just minutes from everything, including the “beach” behind Royal Hotel Victoria, the location couldn’t be better! Every morning we opened the window for the most amazing lake view! The ferry to Bellagio, Menaggio and other lake towns is about an 8 minute walk, the train station slightly further up the hill. Host was responsive and helpful. Couldn’t recommend this property more!

A gorgeous spot in a really nice town on Lake Como.

A beautiful location in Varenna, right off the water and just off the piazza. There is a very spacious shared veranda with chairs for a very relaxing view of the lake.

The hideabed couch was very uncomfortable as a hideabed. It was more comfortable for our daughter just to sleep on it as a couch.

Breathtaking views and the best location

We LOVED Casa Garden. Alberto reached out to us and was super nice and friendly. He met us in the plaza by the church and took us to the apartment. The location is the BEST! 2 mins away from the main plaza and all restaurants. You walk out the gate and up the path and you are there! 5 min walk from Villa Cipressi and Monestero. The path that goes by the lake is just outside the side gate. The little beach area (in front of Royal Victoria hotel) is right next door, out the path. Amazing to dip our toes. Was too cold to swim as it was still mid May. That view though!! OMG! We have never seen a more beautiful view in our lives. The garden and the private verandah has the BEST view you could ever ask for. The apartment is just perfect. On the ground floor. First one when you enter from the main doors. The living room window has the “view”. Had everything we needed. My 13 year old daughter slept comfortably on the couch bed. Giorgio was super nice too. He called and messaged on the last day asking if we had a pleasant stay. Our first night, early morning around 7:30 AM there was a lot of noise as the apartment upstairs was going through renovations. Loud talking, footsteps and other construction type noise. However, I think they had no idea we were there. The moment they saw us, they were super nice and respectful. We hardly heard any noise that early again. We always left the apartment by 9:00 AM for breakfast. We stayed for 3 nights and wish we had stayed longer. We are definitely coming back here.

Nothing bad to say, except the shower was a little small and the door doesn’t close all the way. So there was water always everywhere after each of us used it. So a lot of wet towels on the floor to soak up the water. We did mention it to Alberto and he said they are planning to get that replaced.

Location was excellent. Property was just as listed in the description. Beautiful location.

No hot water on our very first night. Long flight and no shower till next day. Host said he would pick us up when we got to Varenna. He texted he had another client pick up and we would need to wait a few minutes. That was fine. He also said he would take us to the train station upon departure. He retracted his offer the night before. When I reminded him of the delayed pick up and no hot water on our first night, he offered to get a friend to take us to the train station. That worked out fine.

Our hosts, Giorgio and Alberto could not have been more accommodating. From the moment we were greeted at the train station by Alberto and guided by Giorgio through our apartment and quick tour of the area we were set to go and enjoy the beauty of Lake Como. Giorgio’s restaurant and activity recommendations and suggestions were spot on. Casa Gardens was private but easily accessible , comfortable and very clean.

Fabulous amazing apartment in a wonderful town!-Never wanted to leave

I loved this little heaven in Varenna. I was traveling alone (during off season-March) and really thought the place was amazing. The host was amazing. She had a driver pick me up at the station and then i meet her in the town center and we walked to the house, which was a few minutes walk away. They left me a bottle of wine as well. The moment i arrived and saw the place i wanted to cry. It was so beautiful. The view from the living room is amazing, the private walk away is gorgeous and the actual apartment cute and cozy. Close to everything. Really great hosts too. I never wanted to leave. I would definitely come back to rent this spot again.

There were small things in the apartment that felt old and run down, really small things. but NOTHING that would ever stop me from staying there again.

Incredible location, views and hosts!

Absolutely incredible location, views, and the hosts were amazing and so responsive. loved that they picked us up from the train station. The terrace was beautiful and the stay was close to everything and felt very safe. AC was very cold.

Only had 1 towel for each of us for a 4 day stay (we didn’t have any towels to take with us on the lake). No full length mirror or good mirror to get ready in front of for women. Overall, the apartment needs an update. The shower was incredibly small and hard to get in and out of.

Excellent Hosts/Great Location

The hosts, Giorgio and Alberto were fantastic! They are very warm and friendly. The location is excellent, close to the centre of the town.

The shower is extremely small and unless you are VERY small, it results in some water leaking out to the floor. The door to our room was VERY difficult to lock/unlock. Each time, it took several minutes of "playing" to lock/unlock the door. It would have been nice if our room looked out onto the Lake (our room faced into the town) but once you exit the room, the lake is right there.

Perfect place for a longer trip, highly recommended!

A pretty simple apartment that has everything you need for a stay. The facilities of the building, such as a small private garden, a terrace with a ladder into the water and private entrances from the street or square gives a sense of luxury! Super tidy place with very friendly and thoughtful hosts; they even prepared a printed guide with the recommended restaurants and stores. Excellent location close to everything: a beach, sights to see, shops and cafes. Beautiful view. I wish we could stay longer! NB: make sure to contact the hosts, there is no reception and they hand out the keys themselves!

This is no disadvantage for us but just be aware that the apartment is on the ground floor, and the living room window is near the property’s exit to the street, so everyone passes it. You can close it with blinds though!

The apartment was fine all in all. But the location and the outside terrace was amazing and great.

They picked me us up at the train station and helped with bags. Owner and son were great helping out and available if questions. The location and view of the lake from the outside terrace were fantastic.
