Train to Milan was out of service, not the property's fault. There was nothing about the property we didn't like... This place is perfect.

Wonderful location!!

Lovely hostess who met us in the town square to walk to the property, the apartment is air-conditioned and well equipped, very tastefully furnished and the view is stunning!!

I suggest to add a sunshade for thr balcony so you can enjoy sitting out there all day long. By the afternoon you have direct sunlight and it gets very hot on the bslcony on s sunny day.

Excellent location. Great views. Right above the bat Gelato in town. Alberto was a great host. Helped us with the taxi from Milan. We saw spectacular fireworks right from our balcony. We will come again!!

Exceptional

The property hosts were really friendly and helpful. They organised to pick us up from the train station and then showed us around the town, pointing out their favourite places to eat, drink and shop. The location was perfect, with an unobstructed view of the lake. We were in Varenna at a really busy time, so we often just sat in the room with a drink and some food and enjoyed the food and the calming vibe.

The stairs and hot water occasionally took some time to heat up for showers. Would have been good to know in advance for planning.

Exceptional

The views were absolutely amazing and the apartment was very large and comfortalbe. We were met by Giorgio at the main square and walked us to the apartment and answered any questions we had about our stay. The location was convenientl to the ferry, main square and many great restaurants without feeling like you were in the middle of the crowds coming for a day visit. Book it now!

A beautiful old house, but cozy and clean. The view is astonishing. Or you find the word...because it is just like in the advertising pictures and the postcards. The owners Giorgio and Alberto (father and son) are so nice and willing to make you feel happy, just lovable!!! They also own a souvenir store nearby which worth paying a visit. In the end, a little advice, but not a drawback...it was quite tricky to shower in the first day , at least for more then 2 persons...Ask for clarification about using the electric boiler water heating, or just google it :))). Perfect 10.

One of the most beautiful, romantic and serene places we've been to! ❤️

The view and the balcony are out of this world, it's a fairytale place, serene, romantic, and relaxing. We enjoyed it so much!!! Alberto, the host, met us and helped with the parking and recommendations. There was even a bottle of complimentary wine at the apartment. Villa Monastero is minutes walking. Very easy to get to the ferry. We just loved Varrena! We also visited Bellagio, Menaggio, Villa Balbianello but Varrena is by far the best destination, nice vibe, quieter, more romantic, smaller, more photogenic. All in all Casa Balcony added a lot to our Lake Como experience! Totally recomand!

Best place to stay in Varenna

I have only the highest praise for the Casa Balcony and its hosts. From the moment we arrived at the station (and they were very flexible with our late arrival) until the moment we left, we were very well taken care of. It was really the ideal place to stay in Varenna. The hosts are happy to advise on and arrange anything you need. They assisted with arranging a boat with Lake Como Boat, which I would highly recommend (not cheap but some of the best prices on the lake).

Bellissimo

This apartment is a dream. The view from the balcony is unreal and its easily one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. The apartment itself is really spacious and the beds are SO comfortable and really big. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. Alberto and Giorgio were fantastic hosts. Our check in was really easy and they even had us a bottle red wine waiting for us in the apartment. Check out was equally as easy and they helpfully allowed us to keep our bags in the room until we had to leave to go to the airport. Considering the location of the apartment and the view, we felt that it was a great value for money. Some nights we even just sat on the balcony with takeaway pizzas and wine enjoying the view. Grazie millle Alberto and Giorgio, we will definitely be back!!
