Great short stay . I think Varenna is definitely a summer destination. Not much to do in winter

Wonderful Stay in Varenna

Alberto met us at the train station, which was great. Otherwise, I don't know how we ever would have found the place. The location and views are outstanding, true to the pictures on Booking.com. There is a small market within a 5-minute walk where you can buy basic groceries. Be aware that many stairs are required to get up to Casa Veranda. Varenna is wonderful Italian village. We hiked up to the castle, and the views were amazing. The ferry dock is about a 10 minute walk from Casa Veranda.

The washing machine did not work, which was disappointing. After travelling for 2 weeks, we were looking forward to doing our laundry. We ended up going to a laundry mat. We did see Alberto the next day and let him know the washer was not working.

The property had a wonderful view from the balcony air-conditioning rooms made it very comfortable close to restaurants quite a number of stairs to reach the property.

I didn’t like that the second bedroom had two single beds in it and no air-conditioning mould on roof and light hanging by electrical cords. The main bedroom, very nice, but the second very ugly . Also that it only had a two seater couch and no chairs or coffee table to put a drink on .

We were a couple here for 3 nights in July. We loved Varenna, Lake Como and Casa Veranda

Location is 11/10. I could stare at the views of the lake forever. Sitting on the balcony with our morning coffee and afternoon cocktail was a highlight of our vacation. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed, including A/C. Alberto was a gracious host.

Given the high price, we expected more than just basic amenities and worn-out furnishings.

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival, which left a good first impression and we liked the location.

Overall we were quite disappointed with our stay, as the price-performance ratio did not meet our expectations. Unfortunately, several negative aspects affected our experience: there was visible mold on the ceiling of the very small shower, and brownish stains on the outside, which gave an unhygienic impression. Also dust webs behind the curtains. The apartment lacked opaque curtains. The beds were very basic and not particularly comfortable, and the small balcony was not inviting for relaxation due to its neglected condition and no Balcony awning.

Relaxing break with lake views across to Menaggio

The balcony view is pretty spectacular. Nice & close to Varenna which we liked to rest up at after some hectic sightseeing when we arrived. Less busy than Bellagio less touristy. Air conditioning and cooking facilities if needed but lots of restaurants to choose from.

Beds a little firm. Be prepared for stairs this is very common around this area.

Comfortable and clean apartment in Varenna with breathtaking views.

The property is located in the heart of Varenna, walkable to everything. Breathtaking views. Comfortable and clean. Hosts were very helpful anytime we had a question. A/C worked great. Several amenities provided: washing machine soap pods, hairdryer, shampoo, body wash. It is on the third floor, many stairs up if that is a consideration for someone.

Nothing, we loved the property. We nearly ran out of TP so suggest bringing an extra roll.

We had a relaxing holiday, with fantastic views.

We loved everything about this property. Alberto picked us up from the train station,drove us into town and then carried my case for me. He welcomed us to the apartment and recommended restaurants and places to see. The views from the apartment were fantastic. We were a minute walk restaurants and a five minute walk to the ferry. The bed and pillows were all comfortable and it was very clean. I would recommend highly recommend a stay here.

Wi-Fi was sporadic even after reset by owner. mold was above shower stall and response by owner why it was taken care of was, in essence, the unit is too busy to address. refrigerator compressor makes noise when cooling.

This place was amazing. Alberto met us at the train station and gave us ride. The town of Varenna is picture perfect. This apartment had the absolute most amazing view. It honestly was amazing. We did a quick boat tour to Villa Balbianello with Taxi Boat Varenna which is literally just downstairs. The ferry is also very close. I mean, really, just do it. It's been the highlight of our trip so far.

The shower could use an overhaul...bigger and retiled, but the view more than made up for that...and I'm a bathroom snob.

The view was the best. loved the quality sheets and bedding. also the chilled bottle of Prosecco was a welcome treat after a long hot journey.

Only 2 wine glasses meant we had to wash them often. also one more comfortable chair in the living room would be a great addition.

The location and the view was exceptional! The owners were very helpful and offered to collect us from the station. The apartment was very comfortable with everything we needed. There are many amazing restaurants within a few metres from the apartment.

A perfect lakeside break

The location is incredible. Overlooking Lake Como with 180 degrees view. Less than 5 minute walk to the ferry. The hosts went out of their way to help celebrate a birthday. Organizing cake, balloons and flowers all to be in the apartment when we arrived. They responded to WhatsApp messages straight away and were happy to recommend activities and restaurants in the area. Alberto even picked us up from the station and gave us a quick tour of Varenna! Be mindful that in the winter season there are very few restaurants open. The view makes up for this though!
