The apartment has just been fully furnished and consists of: kitchen, living room with fireplace and sofa bed, bathroom with washing machine, double bedroom, accommodating up to 4 people.

All premises (bars, restaurants, shops, public services) are close at hand, within 100 meters.

Even the means of transport are easily accessible on foot: walk through the promenade 200 meters away there is the landing stage of the ferry boat and the boat; another 200 meters and you arrive at the train station.

The apartment is the ideal either for a relaxing holiday or as a base to discover all the attractions of the Lake Como!

Waking up on Lake Como is amazing. The local ferries make getting around easy and the dining options in Varenna are the best in Italy. Alberto who looks after the property was fantastic. Looking forward to doing it all again.

Giorgio helped us from the train station even when our arrival time was changed to later in the night due to our error on trains. He was very helpful in familiarizing us with the apartments. THIS APARTMENT LOCATION IS THE BEST. IT IS DIRECTLY ON THE LAKE AND 100 STEPS FROM THE LAKEFRONT BARS AND RESTAURANTS

Perfect location and amazing view of the lake. Alberto picked us up at the train station, gave us restaurant and touring recommendations, and covered the need to know of the apartment. Its right above a gelato shop - just steps away - and close to the train station. Apartment is exactly as shown in the listing. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

Casa Pergola has such a wonderful spot. The little balcony was so nice when enjoying breakfast or our gelato after the perfect meal nearby. It was a great spot for people watching too with quick access to the port and other nearby shops and cafes on the lake. The a/c in the great room was essential as it was quite hot during our stay. It was great that there was a fan in the bedroom but another a/c in there would have been perfect. Alberto picked us up from the train station and was helpful in providing recommendations and answering our questions. The apartment had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. Thank you for sharing this special place with us!

This was the perfect spot for our stay at Lago di Como. We three wanted something mid-lake which felt personal and comfortable with a view of the water. Casa Pergola was perfect. Located midway along the promenade on the second floor of a building, it has a patio overlooking the lake where we had our breakfast in the morning and our aperitifs in the evening. For us, It was perfectly situated close to restaurants and the harbor. Giorgio and Alberto were marvelous hosts and available to answer all our questions. They were kind and helpful from the booking onward. If Varenna is your choice of town, I heartily recommend Casa Pergola.

This property is in a perfect location on the lake in the village of Varenna. The hosts were easy to communicate with and Alberto kindly picked us up from the train station and attended some drainage issues promptly during our stay. We loved the small terrace and the french doors. The weather was hot and humid during our stay and whilst the air con and large ceiling fan kept the small living room cool, the bedroom with only an old ceiling fan was warm. This apartment is let down by a need for of a proper renovation, particularly the bathroom which has a shower over the bath and tends to flood the floor resulting in a lot of mould in the grout etc. which hasn’t been cleaned. The toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet properly and the metal bathroom sheves were chipped and rusty. The odd assortment of furniture and the decor is a bit ad hoc and seems somewhat cluttered with a variety of styles which could be simplified and streamlined to improve both the look, feel and usability of the space and make room for a coffee table. A nespresso machine would have been welcome although there is a ‘drip’ coffee filter machine if you like that and stove top expresso pot which we used. The ironing board needed replacement too. We appreciated our stay and our hosts, but for the significant cost to stay here, we would like to see this apartment improved.

This was the best Vrbo experience we’ve ever had staying anywhere. Giorgio and Alberto were the best. Helped transport us from the train station and back and helped carry our luggage. They also stayed in touch with us during our stay. The apartment was wonderful and the view of the lake was amazing. We’ll stay again!

It was right on the water, with floor to ceiling doors/windows providing beautiful views of Lake Como, & right above a popular gelato shop. Yet it was private & quiet. The host was phenomenal, picking us up at the train station, giving us a bottle of red wine, making dinner reservations for us & answering our every question. However, we did not realise that Varenna was so very steep, with deep steps to contend with if we wanted to get to the town centre or road.

The process of booking, communicating and arriving at Casa Pergola was seamless. We were collected at the train station by Lorena, helped to the apartment with our luggage and was taken through the operations of the apartment which was very helpful. Of course the highlight of the apartment is the view and the ability to sit on the balcony and take it all in, absolutely amazing. The location in Varenna was excellent as you can walk to everthing that Verenna offers within five minutes. The only criticism of the apartment is that the hot in the shower runs out very quickly, however a very good experience indeed and would recommend Casa Pergola for a beautiful holiday.
