Our stay made our experience in Varenna wonderful and unforgettable.

The veranda is exactly what in the picture. The unit is very beautiful and clean. The amenities were helpful. The location is near to everything. The gelato store under the unit is one special treat. The host, Lorena, patiently waited for us to arrive. She even welcomed us with wine. Her family also did a favor for us that we will never forget. Book this property and you will not regret it. The host will treat you as her family.

It was a nice stay with amazing views.

Lovely property and location was just beautiful! Alberto was quite accommodating and nice.

The bathroom facility in the unit was not easy to use...shower/bath was not safe and hard to keep water off of the floor with the half stall. Washcloths and more towels would have been nice. Noise level was quite high with walkway just underneath apartment. Quite a lot of cobblestone steps to navigate, especially for older people.

Loved our stay and would stay again!

We loved the beautiful view and little terrace. Alberto was very friendly and gave us good recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing.

A cozy little flat with a breathtaking lake & mountain view and a lovely host!

An absolutely lovely little flat that, if I am ever able to make it back to Lake Como, I will be returning to. The location is splendid - literal steps away from the famous "red path" greenway. The view out the window of the bedroom was breathtaking, the little patio is small but it was perfect for my wife and I to eat breakfast on every day, it is so cute and cozy, and the host Larena was so helpful at helping us arrange restaurant reservations, transportation, etc. Casa Pergola (and Varenna in general) was how my wife & I kicked off our honeymoon and it could not have been more perfect.

Very little. It was all lovely. The biggest complaint I have is not with Casa Pergola, but with Varenna as a whole - it was fine for us relatively younger folk, but it has some *very* steep streets with old stairs that can feel a little treacherous at times. If you have mobility issues, consider Menaggio on the other side of the lake, where the land is much flatter (and it is nearly, if not quite, as charming as Varenna).

Everything we wanted to experience Varenna and Lake Como again.

Our host Alberto met us at the rail station and drove us to Casa Pergola. A short walk from the car, but that was expected considering where we were. Casa Pergola is situated right on the lake with a fantastic view and is centrally located for easy access to restaurants, the ferry terminal and the main square. The facilities in the apartment were top notch. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of space to relax in. A first-floor unit with a side balcony exclusive to the unit, was large enough to relax on in warmer weather. We couldn't have been happier with this lovely accommodation.

Nothing to share here, we didn't have anything negative for our stay.

Lovely apartment with spectacular views and close proximity to amazing restaurants.

Communication with the hosts was excellent, and they provided great service. The location couldn’t be beat! The view out of the windows was spectacular. The apartment, while not luxurious, was very cozy and comfortable. Varenna is lovely, and there are many restaurants and shops within an easy walk of the apartment. Just be aware that there are steep steps everywhere in Varenna and the ingress and egress to the apartment are no exception. The ferry was close enough to be easy to get to, but not too close to be a disturbance.

Amazing location, kind host, clean, comfortable, beautiful views

Amazing location. Kind and helpful host. Conveniences such as a washer which we appreciated. Clean and comfortable. We slept 2 in the bedroom and one on the pullout sofa and were all very comfortable. Thank you!

The whole experience of staying at Casa Pergola was fantastic starting from the moment we were greeted at the railway station by Alberto. The location of Casa Pergola is perfect. Varenna is a beautiful place to stay. Alberto provided us with places to eat, visit and explore. We recommend this property to anyone who is looking to visit and stay at this location on Lake Como.

Views, little balcony right on the lake hard to beat the ambiance

It’s right on the lake. You have a small table/chairs and balcony in a great spot to enjoy people watching and taking in the lake. Also great views out of the windows. If the weather is nice the little balcony and views from your place are priceless.

Would absolutely love going back, and would try staying in the same place!!

Property manager met us at train station and drove us to our apartment. When we blew a fuse, we had a prompt “service call” from the manager. Found out he owns a store locally, and had a great time talking with him. He helped us get reservations in a nearby restaurant since it was a town holiday and EVERYTHING there was already booked.

Very hot in July, but loved everything about Verenna! Also took ferry to other towns, but preferred Verenna.

The location, the hosts Lorena and Georgio were exceptional! The vibe of the area is so good! Food and people are excellent. The location ov the property allows really beautiful views of the lake!

Booking a car for hire was painful and limited. We would strongly recommend people book in advance and not qt the last minute. Calling the booking companies might be helpful if you prefer the pickup and drop-off location to be different.

Amazing host, super clean apartment. Lorena, pick us in the train station, give us all the information about the town and ferry. Giorgio was an open book about Varenna, made reservations for dinner at Al Prato, amazing! Apartment is beautiful an clean, espectacular view, all you need on your stay in Varenna. I can't thank enough to our hosts for all the information and help.

One of the best trips yet because of the stay!

You truly can NOT get a better location in Varenna, and on top of that, the entire unit is stunning. I am still dreaming of waking up there!! The hosts...FANTASTIC... the food in Varenna FANTASTIC... (go to Al Prato - the best!) and overall one of the best trips we have ever taken. Stay stay stay here!!!

In the center of the activity.Can’t say enough about our host.We were agreed with wine and cheese.Since we are up in age they not only helped us with our bags but took us to the train station.Even after that we had our passports stolen in Milan and they continue to help us. The view from our apartment was fabulous.

Amazing place and mesmerizing view

Our stay in Casa Pergola was marvelou. The apartment was very spacious, comfortable amd had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped and had all the utensils one can need. The location was perfect, very close to all the nice little restaurants, gellaterias and the ferry port. The view was mesmerizing! The host was very friendly and helpful and took us from the train station(and back on our last day despite us leaving early in the morning) to the place, showed us everything and gave us some great recommendations. Moreover, he gave us a bottle of delicious wine as a welcome drink. This apartment and the host made our stay in Varenna even better. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay here! The location is superb. Spotlessly clean. All the beauty of staying on a sailboat while still on land—best of both worlds. The host made excellent suggestions for local sites and activities. The host facilitated convenient parking in a secure garage. He knows everybody and everything about Varrena. We Look forward to returning.
