Great stay in Lucca

Fantastic apartment that was perfect for our two night stay. The apartment was well equipped with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom, plus there was access to coffee tea etc in a communal area which was great. Walking distance to historic Lucca, was easy to find, there was parking for the car, easy check in, really enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyable stay!

Characterful and spacious room with good mountain views and exposed wooden ceiling joists & terracotta ceiling/roof tiles in modernised property in quiet location just outside the old town city walls. Good shower. Convenient access to property via door codes provided in advance of my arrival by the host. Excellent communication with host who promptly resolved any queries I had.

The lack of a kitchen sink in the ground floor kitchenette and the unreliable drinks/snacks dispenser in the same location.

nice room, well equipped, free parking in the nearby and there is a laundry too. To get to the city centre you need to walk 25 minutes. In 5 minutes there is a bar where you can get breakfast

It is not fault of the property, but the street near building is quitu busy and very close, so you will have a lot of cars noice all the time.

Comfortable and charming

I instantly felt comfortable here after a stressful day of travelling, the place was peaceful, clean, charming, exactly what I was looking for. Only a 5-10 minute walk to central Lucca. Staff were helpful on the phone with any questions I had, thank you so much.

The house was very attractive inside, antique style. My room was big with high ceilings and overlooked the garden . The bathroom totally modern and spotless.

I felt the description B&Big Lucca was misleading , it created the impression that it was a Bed&Breakfast . There was no staff on the property ( only a cleaner passing in the day) I was absolutely terrified as I felt that I was alone in big 5/6 bedroom house in a quiet area. I wouldn’t recommend it as I had lost my phone & there was absolutely no one to help in any way .

The house, the room and the general decor was very nice. Clean and comfortable. Good location. Reasonably priced.

The lights and sockets were turned off over night and was very inconvenient as I wanted to charge my phone. Also one of the staff was a bit rude trying to get me to send him a picture of my passport when I was in my way to the b&b and was unable to send the picture as it was pouring with rain while walking there.

Three nights in Lucca

My first-floor room was a mix of old and new, which was fine, if a little dark (I couldn't open all the shutters, probably my lack of strength, and a good thing in summer). The ensuite was very nice, and the garden was lovely. The downstairs room had a few food items, plus microwave, fridge-freezer, etc. There is a Lidle supermarket nearby, and some bars, etc., so you can get your own breakfast. I found the address by turning right out of the station, and keeping along the main road until I came to Via dei Pubblici (with a bar on the corner). Turn right into that road, and veer to the right. Can't comment on staff, as I didn't see any during my stay, apart from a visiting maid each morning.

I had to wait outside for a long time, as I didn't realise I needed internet access in advance to get an entry code. Apparently, the owner, and also booking.com, had been trying to contact me while I was travelling. Eventually, I bought a text pack, and was then able to communicate with the owner. So it would be helpful if Booking.com could make clear this requirement on the location's entry page.

The owner was very helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was effective. It was a good 10 minute walk from the walls. The area was quiet and the large garden was enclosed which meant our dog could run about safely. All in all, my family(6 adults and a baby) loved it.

Really comfy big room, we had a great stay

Room was spacious with everything you need. Was very clean and bed was extremely comfy (really soft sheets). I liked they were very flexible and accomodating with check in.

The location was slightly out of the historic centre but we knew this when we booked and I think the room is excellent quality at a reasonable price that reflects this.

Lovely and quiet

Great place to stay, I had a comfortable clean room with garden view. While it is self check-in the communication with the host was excellent. Highly recommended for a quiet place to stay. Lovely cafe/bar and restaurant nearby.
