Great location and breakfast- definitely worth staying.

This place is in a great location - a 10 minute walk into the old town of Lucca. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices. The staff person managing breakfast was very friendly. Limited parking for two cars but there is a free lot close by.

One of the rooms was quite small. We reserved 2 rooms and sometimes they were quite damp.

Lovely and peaceful

A beautiful house with lots of charm, our hostess was very attentive and kept us topped up with cappuccinos at breakfast. We booked suite 4 which was lovely and spacious for two nights. Would stay again, thank you.

We enjoyed our stay and Nadia made us feel so welcomed!

The staff was wonderful as was the location! Also, we were given a couple of recommendations for lunch and dinner which were just perfect!

Good Location

After a long day of travelling, we were looking forward to getting checked into the property. Maria met us on arrival and give us a map & lots of places to eat & see during our stay. Our room...when Maria opened the door it was just a wow moment. It was so much better in reality ( think it was room 5) The bedroom was big & spacious. The bed was amazing and had the best mattress. We had the best night's sleep. The added bonus in our room was a bath and after a long days walking it was lovely to soak in a bath. Nadia was a wonderful host at breakfast and she made some delicious cakes. It's in a good location only 5-10 mins walk to the walls.

Lucca

We had a truly wonderful stay at Corte di Re Artù. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with charming exposed brick that added so much character. Breakfast each morning was a real highlight—served in a peaceful, quiet courtyard with a delicious selection of cooked food and amazing homemade cakes by Nadia. Maria, the host, couldn’t have been more helpful. She went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and enjoyable, including helping us order a taxi and even arranging for Nadia to come in early on our last morning so we could enjoy breakfast before our flight. The location is perfect—just a quick 5-minute walk into the beautiful old town of Lucca. We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely be coming back!

I'd definitely go back. Really nice people and quick to respond.

Breakfast was delicious with a huge choice. The hotel was just outside the city walls in a residential area, just a short walk from the centre. The room was small but really good value, and had everything I needed:)

I'd have liked some form of fresh coffee in the room.... maybe coffee bags. They had instant coffee sachets, and having been in Italy for a couple of weeks I was a little disappointed. However, there WAS fresh coffee downstairs:)

Unnecessary confusion, caused me anxiety and I felt i needed to flee

Leaving the hotel and not speaking with the head lady again.

The absolute unnecessary confusion from the staff / operators. This was PAID months in advance. When I arrived, jet lagged, she mentioned some items that needed to be delt with. I was like whatever, I want a bathroom and a bed. Next day she asked me to cancel today's reservation. I mentioned it had already been paid and would be a 100% cost for cancelation fee. I attempted to understand however did not. I mentioned this was the most confusing hotel experience I've had. She let me know it wasn't confusing, offering no clarity on my end leaving me confused. I canceled as she requested which she said I'd get a refund. I wasn't sure and still not sure I'd either get a refund for the second night or be charged a double fee. I still don't know. I think she was trying to screw over booking.com with this, I don't know what she was trying to do but it was weird, caused me anxiety and I left early the last day to avoid encountering her again. I'm pretty sure I'll need to dispute a charge with my credit card with them. I'll be mentioning this directly to booking.com.

Maria was exceptional. Very helpful in so many ways. She also stayed up late to let us in. Breakfast had a wide choice. Good coffee and delicious food. Lovely little sunny courtyard.

Our host was wonderful. She spent time suggesting places to visit and eat, marking these on a map to help us as it was our first visit to Lucca. The room was spotlessly clean and we were made to feel very welcome. Even when we arrived a little early due to our journey, we were welcomed with open arms. The breakfast was nice. We would absolutely stay again.

When we were welcomed we were given great recommendations for places to eat and places to go. The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean and had all we needed. The location was very good. The breakfast was delicious . We especially enjoyed the traditional cake. We had lots to choose from and they catered for everyone . Close to the gorgeous city of Lucca .

Excellent stay

The two ladies who manage the B&B were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. Location was excellent, outside the city walls but not far from them (less than 10 minute walk). We rented bikes from the B&B and cycled around the city walls which I would highly recommend. I would stay here again if I ever return to Lucca.

Quirky in decor, very clean and 10 mins stroll into town. Nice patio area outside for breakfast. Big choice of food although have to be quick to get hot choices, but lovely pastries, cereal, fruits etc. Gorgeous bathroom & great shower

Lighting too dark to read at night with side light. As building old, steps in random places like outside the shower. Few flights to tackle to top floor which could be tricky for some.

Exceptional Stay

A very well located hotel, just a short walk from the old city walls. We were hosted magnificently by Maria, who made us feel right at home with her warm, welcoming charm. It’s a sweet, cosy little B&B with clean rooms and very comfy beds. We’d love to stay again. Grazie Mille!!

Beautiful and unique hotel with great staff

A beautiful little hotel - great facilities. The owner was excellent - super friendly and helpful. She allowed us to check in earlier so we could enjoy our day and gave us lots of good recommendations. The room was great and breakfast was brilliant.

I was woken up by the room next to us using the their toilet a couple of times. It must of been right next to our bedroom and the walls must be thin
