A unique place to stay with a wonderful breakfast!

We were meet with friendly hospitality during our stay, had some time to talk to the owner and get some nice tips for our trip to Halle. The building is beautiful and the rooms feel historical and unique. The breakfast is the cherry on top!

The first night of of our European tour

Lovely building just away from the town centre. Beautifully presented in every way. The host was very friendly and the rooms were very well appointed. Breakfast was the best that we had ever had. Parking is at the rear of the property and was free. We will definitely be back.

The hospitality of the owner and staff. The mostly home made super breakfast in authentic rooms in Servais style. Sleeping Rooms perfect. Private parking with big places. The villa is a real historical villa from outside and inside ..! Location close to train station( 200m) with direct connection to Brussel centraal.

Great location lovingly restored with fantastic staff and owners

The Villa Servais was an amazing experience. The owners lovingly restored a beautiful and historic property; every detail was thoughtfully planned to make their guests stay comfortable, as well as the fantastic breakfast. The owners and staff were all helpful and kind. Halle was a lovely city to stay in with access to the train system 1 block away, and many other locations to visit nearby, including the Hallerbos Forest, to experience the lovely bluebells in spring. We felt very welcomed! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Just a suggestion for your guests that travel by car, since parking is limited at the property, and the Villa Servais has other customers who come for breakfast and afternoon tea--possibly designating parking by the room number would ensure those staying have a place to park at all times.

A beautiful and welcoming stay at Villa Servois, with luxurious comfort and thoughtful touches.

If you are thinking of staying here—do not hesitate. Our visit to see the bluebells in Hallebos was made even more special by our stay at Villa Servois. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with helpful recommendations for local restaurants and a brilliant tip to wake early and visit the forest to see the deer. We did—and it was magical. We had requested a room with a bath, and were kindly given one. The room itself was one of the most beautiful we have ever stayed in. Everything felt luxurious—the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, offering a restful night’s sleep. After a 10 km walk through the stunning forest, we returned to enjoy a boutique breakfast that was simply delicious. Each item was thoughtfully chosen, with high-quality ingredients and freshly made eggs and bacon. I requested tea with lemon and was served a divine bergamot-infused blend that truly impressed me (as a tea fanatic, I have now ordered some for myself!). Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We would absolutely love to return one day.

Felt like a King visiting his summer home.

The fancy building & room, freshly cut fruit, friendly host and convenient location all worked together to make our stay exceed expectations. Being a 5 minute walk away from the train station enabled us to get around with ease, and the nutritious breakfast made a great start to our day. (The cat also made a great host while the owner was away.)

Breakfast pancakes were dry and difficult to bite into, perhaps a different recipe would work better.

Harmony is present in every room.

We spent four nights (5days) at Villa Servais. The neo-Palladian Villa is beautiful and ancient (it dates back to the 19th century), and inside, we feel immersed in the local history of Halle and in that of one of his best sons: the cellist Francois Servais. We resided in one of the eight luxurious rooms (ours was named Franz Liszt), managed by the adorable and professional couple Maud & Geert. From it, it was possible to see the roofs of a part of Halle and the bell tower of the church of San Rocco. Here we could relax by taking a hot bath in the magnificent ceramic bathtub and sipping a coffee on a comfy armchair near the window. The room, with its silence and its, warm darkness, and its relaxing colors (velvet green and bronze), allowed us to recharge after the long and intense walking all day through some of the beautiful Belgian cities we decided to get to know better (Ghent, Bruges, Antwerp, and finally Brussels). The Villa Servais is, in fact, close to the Halle train station (5 minutes on foot), and Bruxelles can be reached in about 20 minutes. Another contribution to our rest is the culinary excellence and abundance of the morning breakfast. The buffet ranges from savory (with a vast assortment of cold cuts, fish, and cheeses) with related accompanying sauces to the sweet buffet (apple and pear pies, glass desserts, yogurt). It is also possible to request the chef's preparation of excellent scrambled eggs or omelets, crepes, and pancakes. We had a good time as if the souls of the musician and his wife infused us with their connection. And we who come from Genoa (birthplace of the brilliant Niccolo Paganini) were thrilled by so much art in the building and by the welcome and harmony of the people who manage it. We thank you and hope one day to be able to return.

These are small tips that could make Villa Servais even more spectacular than it is. A dedicated and designated welcome and reception space would make the house even more beautiful. Also, evaluate an area where you can temporarily store luggage for guests checking in and out. A figure such as a butler would also be needed to check the efficiency of the kitchen service and room tidying up. Some minor details are slightly overlooked (for example, bins emptied but then left without a bag, toilet roll holder not correctly working, one light in the room not fully functioning, one lampshade in the breakfast room crooked, omelet preparation service not particularly quick)

Loved Villa Servais!! Worth the stay in Halle!

The breakfast was fantastic, the staff was stellar, the location on was great and close to the train station and town square! We would absolutely come back!

Our only “complaint” is the towels were not super fluffy or soft, but they were still very nice waffle towels.

lovely property, close to Halle station (5min walk). The manager was super nice and very helpful (even giving me a tip on where I can do my morning run :). The room is perfect: clean, quiet, comfortable. WiFi is good and easy to use. Breakfast is lovely. Location, 200m from railway station with frequent trains to Brussels Central taking under 20 mins. Secure parking, ideal for classic car touring. Good breakfast, very nice room, friendly staff.

The breakfast at Villa Servais was simply delightful.The breakfast buffet featured a wide selection of freshly baked pastries, bread, cereals, fruits, yogurts, and cold cuts. There were also hot options available, including eggs, bacon, sausages, and more.

I liked the way the building was restored, extremely well done with an excellent taste. You feel the history. Bedroom very comfortable and host very kind and helpful. Will go there next time for business in BXL and Halle for sur.

Wawh! We were completely stunned by this gem.The history, the interior it all perfectly fits together. The interior design is marvelous. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast was a true feast. And they had a charging station for our electric car.

Wonderful place to stay and step back in time but with modern conveniences.

Our stay was absolutely delightful. Gert and Maud and the staff were wonderful hosts. Be aware that there are no TVs or radios - which was a wonderful break - but there is WiFi. The history of the house and its renovation along with the great staff and delicious breakfasts make this a great place to stay.
