Location, architecture
Kitchen and bathroom can be cleaner and beds can be tidier but overall still comfortable.

The accommodation's location is excellent. Everything is within walking distance, including the train station and the city center. We didn't use public transportation at all. Perfect for a few days' stay. The hosts were kind, we received fruit, coffee and tea as a welcome. The staircase of the building is really impressive; this atmosphere really adds to the stay. It was always an experience to go up it.
Our room was quite small. It lacked some additional amenities, such as deep plates or a microwave. The toilet sometimes ran, you had to press the button several times to stop it. If the refrigerator is very noisy, move the rear grille. The trains are really loud; this can be a problem in the summer, but it didn't bother us.

Staff friendliness and helpfulness. Location close to main station and close to all we needed. Beautiful architectural old building with history and cleverly renovated.

The host was fantastic. We left something behind and he mailed it to us the next day. He was also very welcoming in general.

Everything was great. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. The accommodations were clean and spacious. The price was very good. Most importantly, this is a great location. Near the train station, walking distance to the Banksy Museum, the museums, mall and market square.
Only 1 thing, I didn’t watch tv at all but it came on while I was sleeping one night. One more thing and also not a big deal, a larger sign for the hotel would be useful.

Everything was perfect: provision of tea/coffee/fruit, minibar with reasonable prices, very comfy bed, well functioning shower. On top of that: the space and the incredible style of the house with the huge windows, high stuccoed ceilings and chandelier. Good position to Eurostar station. Friendly welcome despite my late arrival.
Nothing. I wish I could have stayed for longer. One tiny point: it was not easy in the dark to find the right bell to ring at the house door.

We didn’t have breakfast
We haven’t been reimbursed the money taken from our account on arrival on 9 October. It is $596.00 NZ. It is now 14 October

The apartment was extremely comfortable. Bedding and furnishings are of a very high quality, making for a very restful stay. The apartment had a very good kitchen which made self catering easy. Marc met us on arrival and explained the apartment and other things to see around Belgium which was most welcomed. The apartment is a short distance, about 5 - 8 minutes walk from Brussels Midi railway station which made access easy. It is a direct, about 10 - 15 minutes walk from the old town square which we found a great place to visit. It’s a beautiful building and for the area the apartment is extremely good value for money. Whilst, as others have mentioned there are works underway out the front of the apartment, they didn’t impact our stay or quality of sleep. We loved our stay and would rebook if back in Brussels.
There was a constant oder from the shower pipes which unfortunately didn’t reduce after water flowed down the pipe. This may have something to do with the work’s distributing the pipes, whilst we were there. it’s not a huge issue but was unfortunate.

Amazing house. Everything great.
Of course the road works are an issue and so unsightly but I stayed at the weekend so it was quiet

It's in the lovely old building with very high ceilings and we were given a spacious room (with a bonus room on a second floor). There was a nice small kitchen as well.
Not the hotel's fault but there has been long-term construction in front of the house and the railway at the back, so if you're sensitive to noise it's not for you.

Location . 10 minutes walk from the train station
The room was in front of road and the construction noise and traffic noise can be heard

the host was very nice. Room was spacious enough for me; facilities were good and clean. Best part is the actual house, really beautiful, first time i ever stayed at a listed location.
the location is difficult, since it is next to train tracks and there are during the day about 2 trains per minute. Evenings it becomes more quiet

Here's a rewritten version of your text with some minor grammar corrections:
Marc was a really nice host. He welcomed us with warmth and showed us around the property. He explained a few things about the neighborhood and the city, telling us what we could do and where to buy souvenirs or chocolates. It was a really nice interaction with him. The property is really beautiful and it's worth every penny we spent on it. It's located in the center, where we can walk to the bus stop, the railway station, and the old town

Disgusting staff, no hot water supply, had to pay 45€ for a 230€ hotel booking because we arrived at 12am!
When I tried to cancel my booking, they refused. They have been disrespectful since the beginning.
I didn’t like a single thing about this property. The staff even abused me when I asked for his help to solve the water problem twice!

The hotel and room were so beautiful and unique - it's an amazing old heritage building with so much character. The room had massive windows, a beautiful wooden beam ceiling, lovely old wood flooring and features. It really is a one of a kind.
The sound of the trains was so loud, making it really hard to sleep. It's right by the train tracks and we had to have the windows open at night because it was hot (no air conditioning, but that's normal in lots of cities in Europe). The bed was quite small for 2 people, but comfortable enough. On the last day I messaged enquiring if it was possible to get a late check out, but no one ever responded, which I didn't think was great.

We love the history behind the Maison. It is a beautiful property. It is also conveniently located close to the centre of the city which is perfect for wandering around.
Our only issue was the train outside, it was fine if you kept the windows closed but quite loud if we wanted to cool down the room at night.

Lovely building and spacious rooms. The hosts were really friendly.
The only improvement could be more hangers in the lovely, large wardrobe!

The location is acceptable, but the property is very dirty and has a bad smell. The toilets are unpleasant. There was water dripping from the ceiling, resulting in a horrible experience.

Very spacious studio flat in an historic building with leadlight bay in our front room. Adequate kitchen facilities, fridge, microwave, oven etc. Mini bar provided as cash honour system.
Location was good - 10 min walk from Brussels Midi in one direction and 10 min walk from central Brussels in other direction. Lift to 1st and 2nd floor was appreciated.
Bedside mats on the timber floor would have been appreciated. Some minor maintenance issues should have been attended to prior to arrival.

The hotel held so much history and that made it quite special to stay in.

The room was very spacious and well designed for our family of 4. We liked how it was decorated and felt comfortable right away. The staff also went above and beyond to help us with recommendations in Brussels and to allow us to store our luggage on our departure day so we didn’t have to lug it around the city before our evening train.
It seemed like the house was very grand, and it would have been nice to see more of the property such as the dining room.

Excellent location. Unfortunately a major subway project is being undertaken directly on the street the property is on but overnight working only took place on one occasion during our stay otherwise it would have been a nightmare
Will be perfect when the subway/roadworks project is completed

This "hotel" was unique in that it was an old house (1874) that was renovated to have five guest rooms/suites.
I strongly advise against staying at Maison Jamaer in Brussels.
Despite booking the hotel three months in advance and clearly stating our arrival time of 22:30, we were blindsided by a 60 euro late check-in fee. A week prior to our stay, we were instructed to coordinate with Jean Louis for check-in arrangements. However, upon arriving just 45 minutes past our agreed-upon time due to a train delay from Paris, we were unexpectedly demanded the additional 60 euros.
Throughout our journey from Paris, I consistently communicated our delays and updated arrival time to Jean Louis, yet this information seemed to have been disregarded upon our arrival. Faced with the late hour and traveling with college-aged daughters, I felt compelled to pay the fee rather than risk searching for alternative accommodation in an unfamiliar and unsafe area.
Furthermore, Jean Louis' insistence on cash (I sense this going straight to his pocket and not to the hotel!) added unnecessary stress to an already frustrating situation. The following morning, before we could even begin our day to find an ATM machine, Jean Louis was at our door pressuring us to settle the fee, displaying a lack of understanding and professionalism that further soured our experience.
This attitude towards guests and lack of transparency leaves me with serious doubts about the integrity of the hotel's management. I have no doubt that this attitude permeates the establishment, suggesting a willingness to "cut corners" and prioritize profit over anything else.
I regret staying at Maison Jamaer and I also regret staying near the Brussels Midi/Zuid station, as the area was unsafe. In the future, I will stay nearer to the Brussels Central station, even if it means additional travel, to ensure a safer and more pleasant stay.
In conclusion, I do not trust the management of Maison Jamaer and would not recommend this hotel to fellow travelers.

Location was excellent - near lots of amenities and attractions! Host was very thoughtful and allowed us to check in early and leave our bags there on the day of our departure as our flight wasn't leaving until later.
There are roadworks going on all around the location but it didn't really impact our stay and it wasn't noisy when we were inside the house.

Madison Jamaer was a beautiful property! Our room was spacious and the beds super comfortable. Bonus was the kitchenette. The bathroom was huge and modern. Jean Louis was a fabulous person that checked us in. Oh and did I mention they have a lift that came in handy with all our luggage!
The location is right in the middle of a construction zone .

The room was big
The person that received us was very friendly
However Mark kind of lost it when I asked him a question about a door… it was a very very old building so doors were hard to open
Either way, I dont think he was kind after that question and made me feel really unconfortable
The place was is a place were the roads were being constructed so very messy to walk by
