Lovely, central location. View of Manneken Pis!
Double windows insulated from outside noise, heating was great, room was well designed and comfortable. Bathroom had nice toilettries. The hosts were so kind and helpful. Allowed to check in early and leave luggage.
Can't think of a single thing!

The location was close to everything and right next door to an amazing Belgian restaurant & bar. The owners of the hotel sisters Marae & Sabine were both welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room itself was clean, spacious amd cosy. The decor is simple and a little on the dark side. My bed was comfortable and I liked the window looking out over the rooftops and street below.
There is no refrigerator in the room.
The spiral staircase is charming but a little precarious.

The location was perfect for getting around all the streets and markets. The hotel room was basic but very clean with very comfortable beds. Near to train station for the airport. Recommended

It’s location was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly
The narrow winding staircase. But manageable

The close proximity to the city centre, metro stations and restaurants was awesome. The room was clean and warm, plus appreciated the double windows (though still a bit of noise from outside for a few mins).
I was ok, but the stairs are steep and narrow. As other reviews mentions with lots of luggage you will struggle, but I only had a 30 litre rucksack as a short city break.

Excellent location, staff very responsive to requests - I had no problem adding my husband to the booking - and it was very clean and comfortable.
It could do with a bit of maintenance

Everything!! Great location. Suggest first Uber/Taxi from Midi with luggage, after that Central is an 8 minute walk. Close to Royal Sq & high end shops & easy train access to Brugge & Ghent. Breakfast in house, fresh daily was amazing & the staff, especially the "Sisters" fantastic. Loved Loved my stay.
The narrow stairs, however, staff happily assisted with luggage - travel light

The property was compact but enough for what we needed we loved the position and the ease of just popping in or out as we explored the town.

Location was superb. The staff(guy) was very helpful and welcoming. Very easy access to Brussels Central station, just 6 minutes walk, (can take train to & fro airport, Luxembourg and many more. Menneken Pis can been seen from room window. Area full of restaurants.
Very busy street, it is very noisy at night if you leave windows open, but if you close the windows then no noise at all, as there are 2 double windows.
No lift, Very steep stairs, better to book 1st floor.
1. Bathroom door does not close at all, no latch/lock, the door stays wide open, very embarrassing with you with your family or specially friend.
2. I requested double bed, there are no double beds, they put 2 single beds together which is very uncomfortable to sleep as the bed bends in the middle and you feels you falling, couldn't sleep at all.
3. Shower was not good at all, due to less water in shower, 5 minute shower takes 15 minutes.

The host was super nice and helpful. We had an emergency and her empathy was right in place.

Location is very good. Short distances to walk around. Good restaurants nearby. Late arriving was arranged well. Bed was very good and noises didn't bother at all. Room was clean and cosy. Little fridge was good.
Breakfast has to be ordered beforehand to the room. Maybe there should be a kettle in the room so coffee could be prepared in the morning.

Location is meters away from Mannekin Pis. Good location for all tourist food outlets and 5 minute walk to the main square. Excellent location.
Rooms were a little small but adequate - bathrooms and bedrooms were clean but not modern. Staircase is narrow and spiral up 1 -3 floors depending on which apartment you were in, difficult with large heavy luggage No air-conditioning.

It was a lovely place to stay, naturally it’s right next to a tourist attraction so it was busy but it quieted down around 9pm.
My room had clearly been freshly painted and the smell was intense but not a long term issue

The location in central Brussels
No air conditioning and very busy outside until 4AM. Also the outside lamp shone directly into our bed. The staircase is extremely narrow and difficult to manoeuvre a suitcase up/down.

I loved that it was central and well located … that it was clean and it had a lot of room for 1 person
Everything was great but the pillows were a bit flat

The location couldn’t have been better. Literally steps from mannekin pis (viewable from the window, in fact) and only a short walk to everywhere else. The perfect spot to base yourself when exploring the city. Rooms were clean with a big window looking out onto the street. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Visitors should keep in mind that there is no lift or airconditioning. Fan is provided (and window provides fresh air) but can be noisy if keeping it open for sleeping, as it’s in a popular tourist area. Staircase is also very narrow, if bringing a big suitcase. Room is also quite small, but no problem if you’re just sleeping there and exploring during the day.

The location is fantastic with a view from the window of the Mannequin Pis. It's a small hotel above a shop, despite the location it was quiet at night with decent windows to stop noises. The hotel only has a few rooms. The towels were changed each day and the beds made. It has a secure door and free safe in the room.
The room was clean and all the facilities worked. There's a small fridge in the room to stop your chocolate from melting.
Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.
The room was small, but plenty suitable for us, a couple enjoying a long weekend break.
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but they were easily available 24/7 at the bottom of the stairs along with chilled water on tap.

Location was perfect, staff very approachable and helpful and room clean.
stairs to the room, steep and narrow, not ideal with travel bags.

Location was fantastic for what we wanted. The room was very cosy, the beds were very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and organised a late check in with no problems.
It was very, very hot in the hotel. We were given a fan but it just moved hot air around the room. The bathroom door didn't shut and the handle was basically falling off. The water pressure and temperature was poor and inconsistent, but understandable as it's an old building.

The location is great
The shower as it’s a fixed one and it was broken

The location is very good, 15 min walking to train station. Near stores, restaurants, and tourist place.
When we have arrived, the windows was opened and a lot bugs flying in the room. as the room did not have air conditioning, we have to leaved a window opened, then we was able to ear the noise from the street.

The location is excellent, we could see the Mannekin Pis from our window! Room was very comfortable, and even had a little fridge in the room which was great. As is always the case with European places, there wasn't an elevator, but we knew that going in, so no issues for us.
Just something small: We had a small crack in the shower head which meant when it was used on full power it shot out the top of the cubicle.

Hotel la vielle lanterne was amazing.I really enjoyed it! Also, the location was fantastic being on the door step-literally- to Manneken Pis and the Grote Markt was down the the road or rue shall I say. IT WAS SPECTACULAR!!!! The staff were lovely and if you would like to get something from the gift shop, which is connected to the hotel.
The only thing I disliked was the stairs and the facilities.

Amazing location, 10 minutes walk from Gare Central. Quirky hotel in very old building, steep stairway, some rooms with view of Mannekin Pis. No breakfast but plenty of options in the area. Room had fridge and hair dryer.
The stairs might be a problem for some travellers. Not suitable for disability.

The location is great, right in the heart of the old city. The staff was nice and the complementary chocolates a nice add.
We had a hard time sleeping, it was very loud not only from outside but from the inside. We could hear people going up and down the stairs all morning, and the bell from the little shop under the room was constantly ringing. In addition every morning the cleaning person would knock on our door. The bed was two beds pushed together and they kept sliding away from each other during the night. The entire room is in dire need of renovation, everything worked fine but was very shabby. All in all not recommended.

Could not believe how central this hotel was, great value for money. Would have no hesitation in recommending or staying again, great value for money.

Very basic rooms. Double bed with single duvet??

Great location.
Comfy bed. Clean room.
Staff were friendly.
Fridge and hairdryer in the room. TV available but we couldn’t find any English channels so never watched it.
There are 6 rooms above a shop - 2 rooms each floor and we were on the top. 3 flights of tight marble spiral stairs was tough - no lift. Not suitable for those with any mobility issues.
We are fit and healthy but struggled on the last flight.

The beds were so comfortable, clean towels everyday and was given soap and toilet paper and shower wash every day, the staff are very tentative and friendly, the location is perfect. Definitely coming back
There was nothing I disliked only having to leave 😞

This little hotel was just exactly what we needed. It's not at all fancy, but it was clean, comfy and perfectly located. It's steps away from restaurants, bars and shopping. We were concerned about noise as it's right across from the Mannequin Pis fountain, but we found it not bad at all. The staff we met were helpful and lovely. Though we didn't partake, breakfast is an extra option and it smelled delicious. We'd stay there again!
Be prepared for some stairs. They are a little narrow and there are a couple of flights.

We were late arriving so access code was given and keys left out for us. Comfortable bed. Great location.
Very steep stairs (no lift) so need to be "stair fit". some unnerving cracks in the room walls and ceiling. Some of the towels were old thin and ripped.

Location is great, very central to Brussels and opposite the Mannekin Pis statue. Always a crowd there morning, evening and night. The windows provide complete sound-proofing so it was not a bother, but rather amusing to look out the window at the crowds taking photos.
It's a very laid back affair. You'll get the key off the people running the gift shop below, there isn't a reception or anything. They did left me leave my bag behind on the last day so I could explore without it before heading back to the Eurostar (which is about a 15-20min walk, or 10min by tram).
The stairs are steep, weren't a problem but they definitely could be for some people. No lift.

Rooms could do with a renovation.
