I had no idea this property was in a bad and dirty neighborhood.,If I had known, I wouldn’t have chosen it.,However, the staff, in particular, “Semie”? Who is from Rwanda, made up for it! He was very helpful, told us what to watch out for outside, and had a good sense of humor.,We chatted with him about Rwanda a lot because my girlfriend has a relative who just visited there. Also, the dark haired young man at desk Monday morning, was very good! Breakfast was good! So the only negative thing is the neighborhood.

The room was very spacious and just like the pictures on the listing. The air conditioning worked really well. The shower/bathroom was very nicely done. There was a large counter to hold personal belongings. The in-room storage was perfect for our family. The room was very up to date and the beds were the best! I have never slept so well in my life! The coin laundry mat was easily accessible from the hotel -about 1/2 a block away and the staff at the hotel even made change for us. The staff were so nice and informative of local places to eat and things to do. It was an amazing place to stay and I would stay there again!

Nice staff, good location. Good free wifi. Parking is limited in area and overnight parking is a bit of a walk away. Room has a safe. Restaurant / bar in hotel. Only complaint is the area is under a lot of construction so access is a bit difficult and Google Maps gets confused.

The hotel is very nice with comfortable, clean rooms. I liked that the location is a little beyond the tourist area with local restaurants but an easy walk to all the sites. The front desk staff could be more present, and the construction around the area is a mess, but otherwise all good!

We had to get out of bed and move rooms at 1.30am because the air conditioning could not be switched off and it was too noisy. The next room we were placed was considerably small and bathroom was tiny. It was so hot but we couldn’t switch the air conditioning on because of the noise. You can hear everything in the corridors, people knocking doors and doors banging. We only got an apology, as it was the most normal thing happening in that hotel. €125 per night in a hotel you cannot even have a rest. Fridges in both rooms were not working. Towels are so worn. 2 pillows per person and both are so bulky so no choice if you prefer a flatter pillow.

The best part about this property was its outstanding staff members. They went above and beyond with what little staff they had off for the holidays and made sure we were taken care of. The 4 star ratings that have been given to this property, however, needs to be revisited and reconsidered. The room I was given with my husband had a broken refrigerator, broken bedside lamp, broken bathroom heater, and stained furniture and curtains. Breakfast was also very limited, we paid €15 per person but I had to boil my own eggs and the food tray was never refilled with scrambled eggs- that was disappointing. Overall, the Augustin is not what is advertised as a 4 stars hotel- proceed when booking with caution.

Great location. Pleasant and professional staff. However, not convinced of the 4-star label. Seemed a bit run down, dated Furniture all through (not necessarily vintage), despite what appeared to be attempts at maintenance of common areas and room, still seemed very sub-par for a 4 star hotel in the heart of Brussels. Shower gel had been watered down-quite hilarious. The establishment holds a lot of promise and there is definitely room for improvement. Regardless, the staff were excellent-5 stars for them.

Everything went well I didn’t have any problem with the hotel. Breakfast service was good too. The only problem I had was about the iron. We requested an iron and was told it will be delivered when we are out venturing. When we came back at night and it wasn’t there. The hotel was in good conditions

Property would be good and worth the 4 stars if they looked after the rooms better. Shower hose was broken and then they replaced it with a smaller hose making it hard to shower if your tall. Furniture needs updating as they are faded and dated.

Very nice people as is the pleasant custom in Brussels. Staff able and willing to deal in many languages. Front desk available at all hours. If you like to walk, the hotel is centrally located, a reasonable walk from the Midi station and from many restaurants and landmarks. I would stay here again.
