Location seemed a bit dodgy at night, but it was convenient to reach the main touristic spots

I read good reviews about it, but was a bit disappointed when I got there. There were no individual lights near the beds, the bunker beds seemed a bit old and one of the lockers in the room was broken

Good for budget holiday and solo travellers.

We liked that it is open 24hrs, and the receptionist and workers are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the common area, where tea and coffee is available. The bedding is super comfortable and clean! Great location as it is only a 10 minute walk from station and city centre attractions.

What could have been better is, knowing that you have to rent a towel if you do not bring one and buy a padlock to secure your stuff. The other thing we did not like is when we came back to the room, the others were asleep and we did not want to turn on the light to disturb them, therefore a small lamp in each room is a necessity for this and would be a great addition. The room gets very hot at night time and there is no ventilation. Lastly, there is no extractor fan in the bathroom so condensation accumulates easily

Was super hot in the rooms (though that’s not the hostel’s fault, thats summers) Lockers are incredibly hard to open and there’s very little wifi in the rooms (if at all) My roommate also made it incredibly hard to enjoy (also not the hostel’s fault)

This is a back packers hostel , so you get what you pay for , the rooms are basic and has an bathroom. The actual area would not be the best or safest. You need to have your wits about you. It is a bout 10minutes walk from Brussels Midi Train station

I will highly recommend it because the bedrooms and baths are very nice and so is the staff

I am a mature woman and I needed a bed at the last minute on a bank holiday The manager was incredibly helpful and very sympathetic. His kindness was very welcoming.

There were some episodes of vandalism (broken windows) that occurred overnight. It’s not the hostel’s fault, of course, but it was unpleasant.

Great place to stay in Brussels if you are traveling on a budget

Good location, friendly and courteous staff, room was clean and had lots of storage space for luggage

There is no storage space right next to the bed so everything you want to keep close to you while sleeping is in constant danger of falling to the ground. Also there are no curtains on the beds

I recently stayed at Brxxl 5 City Centre Hostel with a group of 5 friends for 2 nights. The private room we had was small, but it was nicely organized and clean. The bathroom seemed new and well-maintained. The hostel provided all the necessary amenities, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was convenient for exploring the city center, though the area around the hostel required some caution, especially late at night. On the upside, the hostel was well-connected with public transport, making it easy to get around the city.

Unfortunately, the WiFi in the rooms at Brxxl 5 City Centre Hostel was not reliable, although it worked well in the main area. Safety was a concern at night when returning from the city center, as there were attempts of pickpocketing on our group. Moreover, the limited selection of nearby restaurants was disappointing, as we had to walk at least 10 minutes to reach the city center for better dining options.

Affordable and nice hostel if you want to spend most of your day outside sightseeing.

The location was really good, about 10 mins walking to the city centre. The staff was really helpful and allowed us to stay and work in the downstairs area even before our check-in time. For a hostel we also stayed in quite a small and cozy room - just 2 bunk beds and 4 people.

It wasn't the cleanest, but that didn't bother us too much. The air was quite stuffy in the hallways (lack of ventilation and windows). We also had a problem with the shower - the water was only really, really hot. They seemed to have fixed it but it returned to being unbearably hot again.

Miejsce posiada istotne zalety takie jak: ● dobra lokalizacja i skomunikowanie - około 10 minut pieszo z głównego dworca, całkiem niedaleko do przystanków komunikacji miejskiej. Z pewnością po zakończeniu przebudowy sąsiednich ulic będzie jeszcze lepiej ● pokój miał wystarczająco miejsca dla dwóch osób (choć był trzyosobowy wówczas może być trochę ciasno, jednak nadal to hostel, a niw hotel o czym trzeba pamiętać) ● zestaw z czajnikiem w pokoju - był bardzo czysty, bez jakiegokolwiek kamienia - dla mnie to ważne, bo szczególnie w rtm sezonie piję jedną herbatę za drugą ● przechowalnia bagażu jeśli chcesz go zostawić wcześniej/później ● duże lustro w pokoju ● w holu dużo ulotek dotyczących lokalnych atrakcji ● w razie potrzeby mini sklepik z rzeczami najpotrzebniejszymi na noclegu ● ciepła kołdra ● wystarczająca liczba gniazdek elektrycznych Warto wziąć to miejsce pod uwagę przy szukaniu krótkiego noclegu z wygodną lokalizacją

● uciążliwy zapach z kanalizacji - to bardzo rzutowało na pobyt ● w prysznicu powinna być szyba i ktoś zastąpił ją zasłoną - zdecydowanie nie wygląda dobrze, jest odrzucająco zużyta ● pokój jest dość ciemny - przyda się albo mocniejsza żarówka albo jakaś dodatkowa lampka ● część wspólna w mocno średnim stanie czystości ● zdecydowanie przydałby się jakiś wieszak na wejściu do pokoju by zostawić okrycia wierzchnie. Wieszanie ich mokrych i suszenie na tych paru wieszakach (też dobrze byłoby dołożyć jeszcze parę) nie było łatwe przy takiej pogodzie ● materace są ekstremalnie miękkie - to pewnie będzie zależało od preferencji gościa, jednak nigdy się jeszcze z takim nie spotkaliśmy
