The location and the staff were wonderful.
The wifi connection was too weak and the light was too dark.

Despite the bad smell in the room, it felt clean. Clean sheets, the bathroom was decently clean, and I saw the cleaners mopping which was reassuring. There's also a towel warmer which is nice. Location is ok, near the train station. There is a lounge area in the lobby but I didn't see a kitchen (I also didn't look very hard).
The room felt clean but there was a horrible smell of mildew, even after a cleaning and leaving the window open. There was no window or vent in the bathroom so there may be a mold problem. Also, there was a loud alarm going off in the hallway for one of the nights, all night. No curtains on the bed too, and there are large gaps between the bed and the wall. One night my friend's phone fell between the gap.

I did not have a good experience. The place is very dirty, the bathrooms were extremely dirty, and there was no soap or toilet paper.
The next day, no one came in to clean or restock the hygiene products.
I did not feel safe at the place. The people who stay there are only from the Middle East, and I did not feel safe as a woman.
The next day, a man entered my room so his friend could use the bathroom in the room. The place is not safe for women; the accommodation should be for men only.
I did not feel safe. The next day, at 7:00 p.m., I had to leave the hostel to look for safer accommodation. It was a very bad experience.

It is in a good location, reachability-wise: 5 minutes from the tram stop, 10 minutes from Brussel-Zuid/Bruxelles-Midi train station, 15-20 minutes from the city center. You can rent a padlock from the receptionist. The windows in my room were directed towards the courtyard, so there was no outside sound.
The area around the place itself is more of an outskirts, with low concentration of restaraunts/cafes or groceries around.
The following is my experience with the "Bed in 4-Bed Mixed Dormitory Room":
The hostel rooms are rather cramped, no more than 1.5 meters in-between two bunk beds, the whole room is probably 8-10 square meters. There is no air conditioner or ventilation in the room (other than the window) and the one in the bathroom is not that efficient, so if you turn up the heat of the towel dryer, your room has a chance to become a sauna. The door locking system is not quiet, and when it remains not completely closed for a second or two, it starts a pretty loud sound alarm.

Was a very nice and comfortable stay. The room was clean as was the bathroom. It’s a simple walk to the city centre and nice common area to chill.
My only issue is that one person in my room claimed to have bed bugs, but not sure if there actually was. I also had someone in the room wake up at 6am switched the light on and began shouting.

Facilities are super reasonable. Clean and comfy beds, really nice bathroom.
I felt really insecure. On my first day there, the police entered the hostel and took someone away in handcuffs. One of my roommates later told me that an unknown guest had been robbed during their stay. I hope the hostel improves its security standards, not only in the rooms but also for its guests overall.

Central. Close to metro.

The bed.
Rooms are very small and cold. Doesn't have much of a hostel vibe.

It is clean and the staff is friendly
Of course it was the internet connection. Very bad as many people have already complained.

Location seemed a bit dodgy at night, but it was convenient to reach the main touristic spots
I read good reviews about it, but was a bit disappointed when I got there. There were no individual lights near the beds, the bunker beds seemed a bit old and one of the lockers in the room was broken

Good location, close to train/bus terminal. And 10min walk to busy nightlife.
Room was quite warm. Mattress quite worn, but not too uncomfortable

We liked that it is open 24hrs, and the receptionist and workers are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the common area, where tea and coffee is available. The bedding is super comfortable and clean! Great location as it is only a 10 minute walk from station and city centre attractions.
What could have been better is, knowing that you have to rent a towel if you do not bring one and buy a padlock to secure your stuff. The other thing we did not like is when we came back to the room, the others were asleep and we did not want to turn on the light to disturb them, therefore a small lamp in each room is a necessity for this and would be a great addition. The room gets very hot at night time and there is no ventilation. Lastly, there is no extractor fan in the bathroom so condensation accumulates easily

Nice, comfortable hostel. Friendly staff. Location is close to Bruxxels Midi train station.
Location, while close to the train station, it is in a poorer and dirtier area

Nice room, provided bodywash. Nice distance from cool landmarks.
Was super hot in the rooms (though that’s not the hostel’s fault, thats summers) Lockers are incredibly hard to open and there’s very little wifi in the rooms (if at all) My roommate also made it incredibly hard to enjoy (also not the hostel’s fault)

This is a back packers hostel , so you get what you pay for , the rooms are basic and has an bathroom. The actual area would not be the best or safest. You need to have your wits about you. It is a bout 10minutes walk from Brussels Midi Train station
The location

Massive free lockers in the dorm room
Fast, free WiFi throughout the hostel.
Convenient location near Brussels Zuid/Midi Station
Comfy beds
Nice showers
Friendly staff
Limited kitchen facilities but to be fair for a short stay it was satisfactory.

Located near major train station.
My room had its own private bathroom.
Wifi was very bad, would constantly drop in and out.
No laundry facilities.

Location is good as it is close to bruxelles midi station
It is dirty and full of bed bugs. This hostel should be closed for very deep cleaning

I am a mature woman and I needed a bed at the last minute on a bank holiday The manager was incredibly helpful and very sympathetic. His kindness was very welcoming.
There were some episodes of vandalism (broken windows) that occurred overnight. It’s not the hostel’s fault, of course, but it was unpleasant.
9.0 / 10.0
Good location, friendly and courteous staff, room was clean and had lots of storage space for luggage
There is no storage space right next to the bed so everything you want to keep close to you while sleeping is in constant danger of falling to the ground. Also there are no curtains on the beds

I recently stayed at Brxxl 5 City Centre Hostel with a group of 5 friends for 2 nights. The private room we had was small, but it was nicely organized and clean. The bathroom seemed new and well-maintained. The hostel provided all the necessary amenities, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was convenient for exploring the city center, though the area around the hostel required some caution, especially late at night. On the upside, the hostel was well-connected with public transport, making it easy to get around the city.
Unfortunately, the WiFi in the rooms at Brxxl 5 City Centre Hostel was not reliable, although it worked well in the main area. Safety was a concern at night when returning from the city center, as there were attempts of pickpocketing on our group. Moreover, the limited selection of nearby restaurants was disappointing, as we had to walk at least 10 minutes to reach the city center for better dining options.

The location was really good, about 10 mins walking to the city centre. The staff was really helpful and allowed us to stay and work in the downstairs area even before our check-in time. For a hostel we also stayed in quite a small and cozy room - just 2 bunk beds and 4 people.
It wasn't the cleanest, but that didn't bother us too much. The air was quite stuffy in the hallways (lack of ventilation and windows). We also had a problem with the shower - the water was only really, really hot. They seemed to have fixed it but it returned to being unbearably hot again.

Location was good. Staff were helpful. We left to our luggage at their bag store.
Room was not ready when we arrive. When we come to room its had to bad smell, because of the bathroom wasn't any window.

The room was top-notch clean, staff were friendly, the location was great as it was super close to Brussels Midi. I booked a bed in a female dorm but got a whole room to myself since no one else was in that room.
There wasn't a communal fridge but the nice staff let me put some food in the water fridge.
