Wonderful!

Very nice and clean. Was close by to La Spezia station, just a short walk which was great for traveling around Cinque Terre. There was a strong fan so the room was not hot and the bathroom was clean. The host was wonderful and accommodated us with the train delays we encountered and such.

Amazing

Everything was nice, the bedroom and the entire location was clean. We had every morning coffee and something sweet to eat. We had free parking on the street and acces to a bus nearby.

It was very hot inside the room, the air conditioner should be the next improvement.

I liked La Spezia. Felt safe. Ideal for cheap train travel around the area.

Although it is called RetroB&B there is no breakfast. I was directed to a local patisserie. There was a coffee machine in the room and a couple of coffee and milk capsules . There was a fridge and water was given and replenishes each day.

No body around to ask for info. Like the buses stop running at around 8.30.-9.0. p.m. So a 15 minute walk up a dark road with unpredictable pavements or a 10Euro taxi, if one can be found.

Friendly host offering large room with lots of character in a great location

Coffee and Nutella B-ready bars restocked every day, as well as two bottles of water and an ice tea for the room which I hadn't expected. Good size fridge in room for keep our drinks cool and storing some food items we bought from the local supermarket. Room made up every day and fresh towels supplied after our second night staying there. Large fan above the bed and TV in room which you can connect to Netflix/Now/Rakuten, etc. Great little balcony overlooking street below and hillside in the distance (see photo). Pharmacy, supermarket, shop to by bus tickets and train station all in walking distance (train station walk is about 10 minutes downhill). Host was very friendly and helpful...he didn't speak much English (and we didn't speak much Italian!) but with Google Translate we managed to communicate enough (and he managed to tell us where to buy bus tickets, where the supermarket was, where was good to eat locally without the help of Google). Would certainly stay again.

Would recommend highly to everyone.

The owner takes much pride in his establishment and it shows. It is beautifully refurbished and spotlessly clean. Coffee, tea, juice, water and small snack included. Easy to reach from the train station either on foot or by bus.

A bit of a language barrier but nothing we couldn’t work through with a little patience and good humour.

FIVE STAR STAY IN LE SPEZIA

What didn't we like... So much to love! The minute we arrived in Le Spezia we were greeted by Gio who , with his hands full, carried my wife's luggage up the stairs and directly in the room. The space was absolutely huge! It was so clean, it was spacious, the balcony was a perfect touch to enjoy the nights after a long day exploring Cinque Terre. Every morning when we left, Gio greeted us with a bright and joyful " CIAO" with a big smile on his face. Shortly after... Ms Gina followed and she was the perfect start to every morning we didn't know we needed. This BNB was close to everything ( grocery store, bus, train, Centrale). We loved our stay and looking forward to going back!

Exceptional

The room was clean, very comfortable and nicely decorated. We felt very safe there and the host was great. The room had everything we needed with fresh cold water and coffee provided each day. We thought the location was good for us, about a 15 minute walk in to town but as we were mostly visiting Cinque Terre then we weren’t spending much time in town

Beautiful furnishing of lobby and the room. Old fashioned and classy, deserving of 'Retro' name. Cleanliness of room at beginning, full room service after night one. Balcony was great. Liquid toiletries excellent.

Room service was only partial or limited affter days two and three. Ran out of special coffee/milk for machine. Ran out of toilet roll early on departure day.

I was experiencing violence and racist from host

The room is clean.

The host is very rude and racism to me And I can’t speak any Italian he can’t speak any English I booked for two night staying in La Spezia The second day during 11 o’clock when I’m out on the train to other city and he said to me I was making loud music last night so he want to kick me out and if I don’t show up in 10 mins he was going to throw all my luggage out of window After I managed to go back he was shouting at me and trying to take away the keys from my hands He also being very aggressive and violence push me on the wall don’t even let me check if I left any my personal belonging in the room you can see as the picture my lunge was been tape wrapped all my stuff just through in the suit case I was so shocked being treat this way my arm still red by he was trying to take his keys back from my hand Very bad host he shouldn’t be running Airbnb

Our room was very clean and comfortable, With everything we needed. It’s just a few minutes from the station, where you can easily get a train to Cinque terre or wherever. The host was extremely nice and helpful.

There wasn't a thing we didn't like about our stay here. The host was very friendly and made sure everything was nice and comfortable. The whole place is nicely decorated and exceptionally clean. 10/10 definitely recommend it!

pulizia eccellente, camera e bagno rispecchiano quanto proposto nelle immagini (considero questo un elemento m olto importante). Gestore gentile ed educato (ci ha reso disponibile la camera ancora prima del previsto). In generale tutto m olto positivo

Se devo segnalare un elemento: per le mie abitudini il materasso è un po' troppo rigido.

Impecable, las imágenes no dan juicio de lo limpio, lindo y ordenado que es. El anfitrión nos recibió de muy buena forma, la habitación y el baño realmente impecables, nada malo que decir. Recomiendo un 100%. Y queda a solo un bus de la estación central
