Fantastic, one of a kind, small village osteria in a perfect mountain setting. Excellent local cuisine served out on the terrace overlooking the mountain scenery. What a gem!

Our stay in Camedo far exceeded our expectations. Wonderful warm hosts, good food and some lovely walks. We had a lovely evening with interesting talks and live music and excellent grappa.

Convenient for a night when hiking the Via del Mercado; excellent dinner and simple but clean room

I was hiking towards Italy, and the property was close to the path. The room was clean, the people running the place are charming and the food was fabulous. The facilities are simple, but everything works exactly as it should and I quite liked the rustic style. Wonderful terrasse where I enjoyed a drink upon arrival and dinner in the evening.

That being said, the property IS right by the main road and it can be a noisy. Nothing to be done about it. My only tiny complaint is about breakfast being a bit at the limit of the acceptable given the price. I don't object to the self-service concept (which has the advantage of letting me eat as early as I want), but there wasn't that much to chose from (especially considering I was about to hike 17 km) and the separate room where it's served is a bit sad. I fixed that part by taking my food out to the terrasse.

Joyful and uplifting team and place.

What makes this place is the team. Young, enthusiastic, generous, kind, engaged, and very postiive and joyful. They went out of their way to accomodate every wish. We wanted to take a 2-3 hour hike so Paco got out a map and then walked us to the trailhead. The dinner was excellent, fresh and tasty. Very lovely wine choice made by Paco for us. His partner Valeria welcomed us with warmth and lively conversation as did the cook's girlfriend the next morning. The view is magnificent. This place is for nature lovers and people seeking peace, quiet, and joy.

The service at dinner seemd slightly disorganized as to whether we had seen the menu yet or were ready to order food, but that is a kink that they'll resolve.

Exceptional

Beautiful little hamlet in the mountains. Food was absolutely spectacular, a real treat, both, dinner and breakfast. Local products are delightful! Hosts are very warm and kind people. Rooms are very simple and clean. Views from rooms are outstanding. Hike was excellent! We will certainly come back!

You will get some noise from the road in the morning as cross-border commuters are making their way into Switzerland. It didn't really bother us but I wanted to mention it.

The room was large and clean. Personal was friendly.

The osteria is situated at a highly frequented road. So it is never quiet there. In fact you have the feeling that all the vehicles are going through your room at high speed. Breakfast felt a little italian - a piece of chocolate cake an a banana.

Conveniently located Osteria in the center of Camedo, approximately 25 min drive from Locarno. Rooms are carefully modernized, but keep their rustic flair. Young, dedicated and friendly team, good local food and wine, breakfast and dinner are served on a terrace across the road with nice mountain view. In contrast to the description, there are a few parking spots available. Highly recommended!

Charming Osteria in the serene valley

The location is amazing in the valley surrounded by nature. We did a wonderful hike from the Ostereis through the forest with many waterfalls and old stone villages. The staff treat you very well as the place is very small. The dinner in their restaurant was also delicious. The house is very old and charming.

A touch of paradise !

Everything was just perfect !!! Amazing location in a small and authentic village in the "Centovalli" with a great view from the terrace of the restaurant, perfect to chill in the late afternoon. The staff people are extremely kind and we spent a great time with all of them ! Always here to help or just to have a chat together. On top of this, the food was delicious and the breakfast was fresh and local. Nothing could have been better, it was a "sans faute"! Highly and warmly recommended ! We will be back for sure.

Sehr freundlicher Service, gemütlicher Abend bei Feuer & Kerzenschein - regionale traditionelle Produkte - Authentische Menüs. Das Frühstück wird jeweils am Abend bereit gemacht für den Morgen. Zimmer gut eingerichtet. Badezimmer sehr hübsch. Wanderwege möglich über Borgnone /Lionza (alte Marktweg durchs Cento Valli)

Leider gab es ein Missverständnis mit dem Frühstück wegen Sprachbarriere (italienisch-Deutsch). Das Frühstück wird jeweils am Abend bereit gemacht für den Morgen. Das Zimmer war kalt und auch mit den Heizungen fast nicht heizbar da das Haus wenig isoliert. (Altbau). kein Wanderweg zum Stausee (nur Autostrasse vorhanden).

Diese Unterkunft besticht mit ihrer Lage. Direkt an der Via del Mercato gelegen, bietet sie sich als Etappenziel bestens an. Auch die Verpflegung ist hervorragend. Es wird eine einfache, traditionelle Küche aus regionalen Produkten gepflegt. Das Zimmer war eher alt und einfach ausgestattet. Ein Babybett hätte zusätzliche 30.- Franken gekostet. Generell sind die Zimmerpreise für das gebotene zu hoch.

Im hauseigenen Restaurant wurden wir mit kulinarischen Höhepunkten verwöhnt, die jeden Bissen zu einem unvergesslichen Genuss machten. Das geräumige und stilvoll eingerichtete Zimmer bot uns einen Ort der Ruhe und Inspiration. Wir verliessen diesen Ort mit dem Gefühl, ein Stück Paradies gefunden zu haben.

Das Essen in der Osteria war sehr gut und das Hirsch-Ossobucco ein Gedicht! Rustikale Gartenlaube mit schönem Blick ins Grüne, süffiger Aperol Spritz.
