Great place

The Hotel has been recently renovated, facilities are charming and comfortable. Location is great, right at the city centre, which is a great starting point for hikes.

While the shower was pleasant, the water could get a bit warmer.

Wonderful bed and breakfast in a well appointed old house close to town centre.

La Cassermetta is a beautiful BnB close to the centre of this lovely old town. The room I stayed in on the second floor was very large, had a modern bathroom and a balcony that looked out over other old houses. There is a lift which is very helpful when you have a heavy bag to carry up to the room. It is an easy 10 minute walk from the station. The breakfast was outstanding, with more choice than I could eat. The host Barbara allowed me to check in early as it was a wet day and I arrived in town about 1130 - this was most appreciated.

Chic, design led upmarket bed and breakfast with a wonderfully friendly host in a prime location.

We loved our stay, the location, size of the room, balcony, views and interiors exceeded our expectations. I worked in the fashion and interiors industry and I loved the choice of furniture and materials used. The room was clean, smelled wonderful. We wish we had opted for breakfast one day as it smelled amazing and looked wonderfully presented.

The one and only fault I would have that would change my rating from four stars to five are the pillows - they were uncomfortable and after a long day hiking and exploring our sleep was interrupted and we felt a pillow made from our clothes were more comfortable. I totally appreciate we were staying at an upmarket bnb and not a five star hotel, were not expecting luxury pillows. However maybe we could suggest something a little softer. That being said, we will definitely return. Thank you so much.

Top central and quiet location. All the rooms have been recently renovated: they are spacious, comfortable and meticulously clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel provides a nice breakfast, if booked in advance. However, the breakfast room is quite small.

Some improvements needed, but overall a very nice accomodation!

The owner (very friendly); towels; the large bathroom with amenities; the bed; large room; fridge in the room; wooden floor; location (quiet area).

From outside we heard no noise, but inside the room there was. The fridge made a lot of noise and the rooms are not soundproof: we were unlucky to have noisy guests above us walking up and down many times. Probably a carpet for a part of the floor could solve this. The TV audio is very loud at first, this can be easily resolved by the owner (change settings). Unlike what is advertised in Booking.com, Netflix is not offered nor similar types of TV channels (only paid TV, or you need to connect to Netflix with your own account, so we were told), which is a pity, we were looking forward to it. The remote control of the TV was a bit difficult to use. It was a bit confusing whether there was complimentary daily cleaning or not (there is but you need to ask for it). Bed sheets were a bit too warm. Nonetheless, we hope to come back to Casermetta!

Charming Santa Maria Maggiore b&b

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We were sent a code beforehand to get in the front door on arrival - and got into the room with no issues. Breakfast was good. We ate at the restaurant for lunch, which was very yummy (in a different location) and got a 10% discount as we were also staying at the hotel. The b&b is about a 5 minute walk from a charming central square; the perfect place to have aperitivi.

What a charming and lovely hotel. The room was very spacious and finishings were top class. The welcome gift of biscuit from nearby Domodosola were delicious and a lovely touch!

Exceptional experience

Newly renovated former Palazzo with superior interior design and great attention to the detail, close to the center and a 10 min walk from the railway station. Very charming and caring manager, local bike rental. The first ever affordable bottle of sparkling wine in a "hotel" - waiting in our room at the arrival including a large bucket of ice (it was very hot..) Good breakfast using local produce.

There is no AC. Not a real problem as you can close the shutters during the day, the nights are fresh even during summer and the walls are almost like a church.

Atmosfera familiare seppur in una struttura ristrutturata con eleganza e cura dei dettagli. Camere confortevoli e curate, staff gentilissimo, ottima posizione, ritorneremo sicuramente alla prossima visita in Valle Vigezzo.

Noi siamo di statura piccola, dunque per noi non è stato un problema, ma i letti sono un po' corti.

Grande delusione, già il check in è andato storto, non mi è stato recapitato il messaggio whatsapp per il self check-in, quando ho chiamato, alle 17.00, ero già fuori tempo massimo per chiedere la colazione per la mattina del giorno dopo. Nessuna flessibilità a venirci incontro visto che il disguido era nato da un mancato invio del messaggio. Avevo prenotato la suite x 2 persone e abbiamo trovato la camera allestita con il divano letto aperto....morale: per aprire la porta del balcone bisognava scavalcare un tavolino, per mancanza di spazio...lampade e altro, spostati per fare spazio al divano...a scapito della estetica della camera arredata in stile vintage, anni 70. servizio da migliorare assolutamente o prezzo da rivedere.

Non vediamo l'ora di ritornare!

Siamo senza parole per questa struttura che è andata molto oltre le nostre aspettative! Posizione centralissima e allo stesso tempo, veramente tranquilla (con parcheggio privato a disposizione degli ospiti). La nostra camera (Retrò) era arredata con un gusto incredibile e avevamo a disposizione un terrazzo privato molto carino. Inoltre, abbiamo usufruito di un servizio di colazione meraviglioso (non inclusa nel prezzo della camera) con dei prodotti freschissimi e buonissimi. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo di questa struttura è impeccabile.

Non aver avuto a disposizione più giorni per goderci sia la struttura, sia tutto ciò che offre Santa Maria Maggiore e la meravigliosa Val Vigezzo.

La posizione per me è ottima. Cinque minuti a piedi e si arriva alla piazza della chiesa. La proprietaria è stata molto gentile, colazione molto buona e abbondante, dolce e salata, camera ampia, per me bellissima tipica della montagna. non c'era balcone nella nostra ma due finestre che si aprivano sulla vista delle montagne, che si vedevano direttamente dal letto!! Bagno nuovo bello e comodo. LO consiglierei? sicuramente. soprattutto se chi, come noi, viaggia con il cane. noi viaggiavamo con la nostra maltesina di 4 chili, ma accettano tutti i cani. e in stanza abbiamo trovato il cuscino per lei e la ciotola (e proprio non me l'aspettavo). La stanza è grande per due, c'è spazio per girare, un divano, due sedie, il frigo, la tele, il posto per le valige. Insomma bella e comoda

Unico neo ma non so se c'è margine di miglioramento è l'insonorizzazione. noi sentivamo quelli sopra camminare, e quelli di fianco parlare. null'altro.
