Hotel room is spacious with a nice lake view. The staff were very friendly & helpful! The wine tasting activity was superb! The wines were excellent & they serve very nice ham to go with wines. The atmosphere was great!

The friendliness and service offered by the hotel staff. The excellent view of the lake, and the ease of travel by boat to Luino, Cannobio and everywhere else.
The standard of cleanliness in the room left a little to be desired: towels were changed daily and the bed received a cursory makeover, but that was it. We were obliged to eat our meals indoors, and not on the adjoining terrace, due to the fact that the hotel had not designated that beautiful area as non-smoking, and that there were many inconsiderate guests who insisted on smoking while others ate their meals. The quality and range of the buffet breakfast was generally very good, but the behaviour of guests fighting to grab food and drink made the experience similar to that of a rugby scrum. Totally unacceptable. Throughout, the staff were splendid in trying to meet demand, despite the ill-tempered behaviour of some guests. Finally, the mattress and pillows need renewing - uncomfortable.
