great location and views , however no good for a good night sleep, sorry

Due to single Glazing you could hear all the noise of people leaving the pubs talking at 0130 then again at 0430 then the traffic at 0600. I would suggest put secondary glazing especially in the bedroom

Avoid at all costs , it’s not worth any price

The apartment I booked wasn’t available and we were offered an alternative which didn’t resemble what we wanted. 15 min drive to a large house was offered for our 2nd night’s stay!! The 1st night’s accommodation was even further away. As dark fell we were offered a bedsit which we had no alternative but to accept, it was despicable, filthy and for a romantic get away it was atrocious.

The access was on the 3rd floor and quite a climb , towel in the bathroom was discusting, and TV didn’t work. I called the owner who was to get it sorted but he didn’t have the decency to call me back. We didn’t use the bath or shower due to its state. Couldn’t wait till the next morning to get out of there and we cancelled the 2nt night. The toilet had a half used soggy toilet roll with nothing spare..

Having to deal with unprepared accommodation

The position was good but it was not the property I had booked!

The ratings are for another property which we were moved to on check in, with no forewarning. Apartment 1 in Grosvenor building was not dog friendly, we found the dishwasher full of dirty dishes and the bed frame was broken which made for a very uncomfortable first night. As there was no response to our email, we had to find the owner/manager to request a replacement bed. Overall disappointing.

Imagine bad, double it and you still wouldn’t be close, the owner is a walking disgrace

The entire stay could/should have been better. On the day of the booking and on our way there we received a phone call to say they had double booked . They seem to double book all the time if previous reviews are anything to go by. When we arrived the receptionist looked embarrassed when she told us the problem, the manager/owner soon came to the reception, no apology for the double booking (3 nights) but advised us he could put us up in another hotel of his for the 1st night, we had little choice given how far from home we were. The owner has been in the press plenty of times by the looks of it, he was rude, arrogant and frankly the rooms were awful. The receptionist was very polite but the owner kept on talking over her. I would not stay here again and I would advise anyone looking to book here to do their homework first and read the reviews. In short, never again.

Good location with great sea views. Also on street free parking Monday to Saturday for 4 hours 0800 to 1800.

Only basic crockery and cooking pots / utensils. Mattresses should always have a padded cotton mattress protector.

Stairs, said Ground floor, poor attention to detail no bath . Quilts" inadequate it gets Cold in May 3rd time I've encountered these so called Quilts in Owners Accomodation. Noise Every night - came away more tired than when I went . It wasn't the Belmont y Prom which I'd picked out and chosen it was the Grosvenor. I traveled back to Nottinghamshire and still catching up on sleep. No welcome pack of tea/coffee sugar and milk even a Premier Inn does that . Very Disappointed Not worth the Money. Staff were Lovely, there's no attention to detail at all which comes down to the Management, ie base of shower bare wood unpainted, found where hot tub and laundry was supposed to be down like a fire escape to what I can only describe as a half demolished property . Came away for a break after a Relationship breakup and loss of My Mum.. Would not book with this owner again, Apparently he owns a lot in Aberystwyth , Get some decent warm thick quilts on Your beds for When it's cold , no info about appliances in the appartment No information about things to do . So Disappointed 🤨

Double booked: Then treated with contempt and hostility by the bullying owner

Appalling treatment by the owner who refused a refund despite double booking by the venue itself. Bullying shouting, swearing. A genuinely menacing version of Basil Fawlty. Refund secured thanks to my persistence 24 hours later. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-18892925.amp This article demonstrates the way Mr Emyr Davies operates without any morals. Only concerned about money. Ten years later, still at it. Gives Aberystwyth a bad name. Avoid at all costs. Sent to Four Seasons Hotel for the key. Chaos, mayhem and confusion. That was the good news: Mr Davies is not an ethical operator.

the bed is very uncomfortable and you can feel the springs in your back. i didn’t realise prior to booking that pets were allowed as if I had known wouldn’t have stayed as dog hairs were on sofa and set an allergy off.

We arrived to pick our keys up to be told the place I had booked was not available I was very upset due to it being my partners birthday and had booked an appointment with a sea view we ended up down a side street and having to park a good distance away from the room disappointed with the night away booking.com double booked not a happy customer 🥺

Brilliant property overshadowed only by its location; but I hope the management do better.

The space itself is fantastic. Modern, stylish, well equipped and brilliantly located. The bed was comfortable, bathroom and kitchen were modern and immaculately clean.

Everything about the communication and access instructions. Unclear, ambiguous, misleading would be polite. The address I was provided wasn't the address I was actually staying at, you are required to go to a different location to collect the keys, there are no instructions on how to gain access to the building or how to use the fobs & keys or where to leave the keys after your stay.

Beautiful views, very peaceful, amazing location, would stay again!

The location was perfect, the views were absolutely incredible - those are the reasons we would stay again. The kitchen was very well equipped, there were cleaning products etc. The shower is very good, there are toiletries too. The apartment was very quiet.

The bed was a huge disappointment - we had a long drive to get there and were exhausted, and this is a fairly expensive place to stay and I would expect a good mattress. We could tolerate that it was only a double (though that is small for two tall people) but it was a cheap mattress, full of springs that poked out. We put the spare bedding on the mattress to cushion it, which just about did the trick. But these days no hotel or accommodation should have cheap spring mattresses, not at that cost for a stay. The couch was a little uncomfortable too, but it wasn’t terrible. The television in the bedroom didn’t work, which was disappointing. I can see now, looking at reviews from last year, that it hasn’t worked for a long time. GET IT FIXED! It’s shoddy to leave it that way for so long.
