I stayed for a shorter period of time than I booked but it was easy to find and the location is lovely even in the rain!
The apartment itself is well done and has great space and amenities.
I didn’t like the amount of mould in the shower.

Nothing as the owner gave 2 day’s notice that it was not available
It was not what we booked. We were given just 2 days notice that someone else was in the property that had been confirmed as booked on booking.com. The owner put us in his budget hotel which was run down and awful.

apartment was nice, clean, good facilities
wasn't the room we booked, windows were covered in bird shit which could be cleaned from the inside.
windows in my opinion were too small to be classed as a sea veiw

The flat was nicely furnished and well equipped, and in a great location
The shower water temperature seems far too hot. The minimum temperature was uncomfortably hot, and the maximum actually dangerously hot.
Soap was not provided in the bathroom.
The oven has not been cleaned and was quite dirty.

We were not given the property promised. We didn’t in fact stay at Grosvenor house. We were promised an ‘upgrade’ which it certainly was not. It is advertised as cheaper on Booking.com than what we booked. This dishonesty was very disappointing. The property that we stayed at was up 3 flights of stairs. The blinds were broken.
We booked Grosvenor for the beautiful view. The property we were given had 2 much smaller windows. Not a large bay window facing the front. We were not given like for like.

As usual the view is tremendous. We find the place really relaxing too.
Just a few constructive pointers as we have stayed here the past 3 festive periods. Firstly we had to ask for towels for the bathroom. We couldn’t see a bathmat so had to buy one ourselves. In terms of cutlery, dishes etc, there were no bowls and we feel that if someone came without these items they’d struggle a bit. We’re comparing this to other self catering apartments we’ve stayed at. For the price charged i’d recommend upgrading the furniture in the front room and the tv too.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Location was convenient with a nice view from living room window, this would have been better if windows were cleaned.
Apartment and building quite run down cosmetically. Both smelt musky and damp, throughout the apartment there were no guidance on how to use kitchen appliances, surrounding area and sightseeing places of interest. Cosmetics of apartment were very outdated and worn (paint rubbed off, large cracks in the walls and ceilings) furniture very uncomfortable chairs in living room and bed in bedroom. The bed was just to singles pushed together that kept separating throughout the night and mattresses were flat as a pancake. Apartment could do with new TV as the current one was very unresponsive and would just turn off by itself. Utensils in kitchen were odd no complete sets. Also on booking.com listing it shows different/ better shampoo/ soap what was supplied was cheap and horrible.

Apartment was clean and relatively comfortable. View over the sea front was brilliant.
Hotel owner/manager was very aggressive. There was a payment dispute between him and booking.com. I had paid my full amount but I was still dragged into the issue.
He tried to have me pay for another night which I refused as I'd paid my part. He told me to get in touch with booking.com to resolve the payment issue otherwise I couldn't stay my second night. I asked why I'm getting in touch with booking.com to resolve an issue that isn't to do with me. At this point he got very aggressive and was yelling at me telling me he's not a charity. I had to remove myself from the situation as I had a panic attack.
I proceeded to try contact booking.com as he asked. I finally get to speak to someone who advises they'd call him. This was already being done to no avail. Meanwhile I'm sat in the lobby waiting for a resolution and to see if I have somewhere to stay for the night. I've just climbed a mountain so I'm very tired, very muddy and need a shower and a sleep. After he'd finished yelling down the phone at booking.com he came out of the office and told me its being sorted and walked away. Not knowing what to do, I wait in the lobby for the resolution or an update. None came so I head back to the room for a shower and then to meet a friend for dinner. I spend hours in this lobby trying to resolve this issue. Time I could have spent enjoying the accommodation I'd booked. All night I'm worried I'm going to receive a call from the hotel telling me I can't stay. Eventually I didn't hear from them and only found out when checking out that a resolution had been sought. A far from relaxing weekend I must say.

Stunning view. I knew we were close to the water, but the bay window view is astounding. I could watch the sea from the window all day long and not get tired of it. The apartment is huge and extremely comfortable. We did climb the hills around town and visited some excellent restaurants.
I could never figure out the bedroom heater or the bathroom fan. Both minor issues.

Great view, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were immaculate. Bed very comfy.
Apartment was carpeted throughout in light grey, laminate flooring would be better in the hall and living room as it was dirty and stained. Disappointing for the high price.

The building had been very well renovated and was split into a number of apartments. Apt 1 had the first floor. The rooms were spacious, with very high ceilings and fantastic views from the front of the apt. Although on the sea front, the traffic noise was minimal as was the noise in the evening - we were there over a bank holiday weekend. Although parking at the linked hotel was always taken, we always managed to park for free on the road within 5 mins walk of the Apt. ( We found space on North Road ). There is a loading bay outside the apartments. The bed was made up of two joined single beds. This made it slightly uncomfortable, but it was firm enough for my bad back. Aberystwyth is a strange town, it is a mixture of lots of things. We found some good restaurants, and it is an ideal base for visiting the local area. We had an electric car and after a few visits, managed to recharge at the local Tesco superstore. It is just a 7 minute flat walk from the station.
There was only one comfortable single side chair for the bay window. Two would have been useful, instead of having to use a dining room chair so we could both sit and enjoy the fantastic view.
A few very minor items missing:- plug for the kitchen sink, a sink bowl, potato peeler and a fish slicer or long spatula. Although there is a dish washer, there was only enough cutlery and plates for about one day, so you ended up hand washing. As there was no plug or a bowl this was difficult. Useful to have a draining board stacker.
There was one mix up, which could have been avoided. The deal I had was where Booking.com paid a small part of the bill. When I collected the keys I was given a receipt which indicated that the full amount had been taken for a bank account. In fact the bank account was not mine as I assumed, but was one of booking.com’s, who had already taken the correct account from my account. The hotel could not explain the difference and it took a call to Booking.com’s customer service to explain the process. This was dealt with quickly. The mix up could have been avoided by not giving me the receipt.

We were upgraded to Belgrave 4 but not sure if it was an upgrade or not, as much smaller than the pictures of Grosvenor House suggested, however it was very modern & clean and perfect for one night. Small double but comfy. Lovely view of the sea from small loft windows. Great to hear the sea as drifting off to sleep. Very friendly & helpful staff.
Lots of steps to 4th floor & no lift. No towels but this was rectified after a telephone call.

Stunning location looking out to sea, very near everything you need, very decent size, very clean and would stay again.
House keeping staff entered the property without knocking to access a linen cupboard in the flat which apparently is where the linen is stored for the whole building. We didn't like this. On another day another guest had been directed to our apartment and was trying to unlock the door. Only one set of towels were provided when we were two and no one answered our messaging. We eventually walked over to the hotel that manages the property a few streets away and were given a second set of towels.

fortunately we were in apartment 1 which was great very large great views on ground floor all rooms lovely tv in all bedrooms bathrooms lovely and right on sea front with bay window view of sea front
stairs to other appts in building there are so many and steep trying to carry suitcases etc if you not fit or have a walking disability these apartments will not be good when advertising the apartment you are paying for should be shown not all the apartments

great location and brilliant sea view.
only single glazed windows so some external noise but had my trusty earplugs so wasn’t a problem.

would have preferred a double bed rather than two singles pushed together, other than that everything was perfect and will be booking again

No breakfast as it was an apartment Excellent presentation new carpet lovely new kitchen and bathroom it was very lovely with a superb view. It was spotlessly clean and tidy with good amenities like a dishwasher.
Unfortunately the host had let the two apartments above us and we were very disturbed all night until 630am by those guests. They were running up and down the stairs shouting and laughing. They ran off when I opened the door and challenged them at 430am but carried on upstairs above us jumping around, slamming doors shouting and banging all night long. There was no one to call so I did not sleep at all and did not rate my stay because of that. Really disappointed I would not come back.

The room was clean and tidy, furniture and fittings seemed fairly new. The location and views were spectacular looking out to the bay which is the main selling point of the room. The room is well equipped, with a dish washer, microwave etc. Plenty of glasses cups knife and forks etc.
We arrived early as we had travelled for 5.5 hours and therefore left home early to avoid traffic. So the room was not ready which was fine but it still was not ready at 3 when we went back. The room was apparently left in a mess so needed extra cleaning we got in about 4 30. This would of been fine but the parking is horrendous we had to park in a reseavered coach parking to unload the car and then find somewhere to park after we unloaded. There is on street parking but it is only for 4hours. There are about six spots at the hotel where you pick up the key but they are always taken.

Location was excellent, and the apartment was very well decorated.
Bed was not very comfortable. Could feel the springs so sleep was disturbed.
